Hi friends,

Let's get my news out of the way, unfortunately, my second beta was just as low. So it's a BFN. I'm ok, it's only my first try. Yes, I've been doing the ususal crying, etc. But I know that I am lucky that I can keep trying.
I am stopping the PIO shots for now and I'm wondering how long it may take for AF. ANy clue?

LuAnne... WOW! I'm so happy for you! You did it. The numbers sound great! Was this a fresh cycle or frozen? I can't remember. Rest up and enjoy every minute of it.

Kim, I love that glitter. Keep it coming. It's getting closer for you!

Jenbabes, what's a tmt? Thanks for the encouraging words. I hope that you feel better. Enjoy the weekend. It's getting closer for you as well!

Catherine, I'm sorry that you have to deal with all this crap. I hope that you keep feeling better. I'm really happy for you. Congratulations again!

Amy, I will be staring my next IVF Cycle in the near future, maybe we will be cycle buddies? I'll Know more once AF comes. Keep me posted.

To everyone and anyone I missed, thanks for being here. Have a terrific weekend and think good thoughts!

Hello Ladies:

Thanks for all of the nice compliments on my Andrew. He really does have me wrapped around his finger.

Congrats LuAnne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those numbers are high!!! Could it be twins? I'm trying to remember what my first beta number was and I think it was around 600 or so. Try to get some rest. During my first trimester I was so wiped out.

Chriss: I'm sorry to hear about your news. Please take care of yourself. It seemed like my AF's were a little late after my IVF's.

Catharine: I hope you are feeling better.

Hello to all of the new ladies here. I'm having a hard time keeping up with everyone.

Yasmina: Yes, Andrew's hair is finally coming in thicker! Of course he has a long way to go until he has a full head of hair like Eloise.

Socal: Good luck on your HPT.

Hello to Bev, Anna, Kat, Jen, Kim, Andrea, Amy, Sonia, Big J and anyone else that I have missed.

CHRISS - I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF THE BFN, BUT I MUST SAY YOUR ATTITUDE IS WONDERFUL. YOU WILL DEFINITELY SUCCEED W/AN ATTITUDE LIKE THAT. I AM GLAD YOU ARE ABLE TO GO RIGHT BACK INTO TREATMENT. I USUALLY SAW AF W/IN 5 - 7 DAYS AFTER STOPPING PIO.

KIM - YES, THAT WAS MY 1ST BETA & YES, IT IS HIGH, ISN'T IT?

TAMMY - I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING (TWINS?) WHEN I HEARD HOW HIGH THE BETA WAS. I EVEN SAID TO THE NURSE, "WOW, THAT'S HIGH." SHE MERELY REPLIED, "IT'S EXCELLENT!"

CATHERINE - I CAN'T BELIEVE YOUR BOSS ACTUALLY CALLED THE HOSPITAL. WHAT A JERK! :x

SOCAL - WHEN IS YOUR BETA? GOOD LUCK.

HELLO TO EVERYONE ELSE. I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE ALL THE LADIES CURRENTLY IN/AWAITING TREATMENT. I CAN HARDLY WAIT FOR ALL THOSE BFP'S TO BE ANNOUNCED.

Hi and Congratulations Luanne!!!! Hi Jen, I did test again yesterday and I got a positive and I tested again today and the line is darker. I did have an HCG shot, but I am thinking that since the line is getting darker by the day then it is a positive....and I am starting to get a little bit morning sickness...

SOCAL - CONGRATULATIONS! IF THE LINE IS GETTING DARKER IT IS SURELY A TRUE POSITIVE. :D I AGREE WITH YOU, I WOULD THINK HCG FROM THE TRIGGER SHOT WOULD BE GONE NOW, OR AT LEAST DIMINISHING!! SINCE THE LINE IS DARKER, YOUR HCG LEVEL MUST BE INCREASING FROM PREGNANCY!! MY LINE GOT DARKER AND SHOWED UP FASTER WHEN I REPEATED THE TEST TOO. (I HAD TO REPEAT THE HPT'S BECAUSE I JUST COULDN'T BELIEVE I WAS SEEING A BFP.)

Socal:

Congrats on your BFP!!!!!!

I too had to take multiple HPT's to believe it. I took two the first morning and then I took one two weeks later and one 1 month later to make sure that that line was getting darker. I was very paranoid until I had my first scan, since we had conceived naturally without IVF. It seemed too good to be true.

Regards,
Tammy

Good Monday morning ladies :)
Chriss, I was sadden to read of your result. You have an amazing positive outlook, an inspiration for many to look to.

Fingers crossed tomorrow we have the U/S to look at the progress of the pregnancy :D of course I'm excited and nervous. On a positive note I can see my feet again :D I awoke this morning feeling much slimmer than the past few weeks. I was starting to worry because yesterday I felt like I was slipping backwards as far as recovery, belly big and taught accompanied with some nausea. But I really must be slowly recovering.

Wishing everyone positive thoughts.

chriss - so sorry to read that your first try ultimately ended with a BFN. You're PMA is great and will absolutely help you get a BFP that sticks next time!! I wish you lots of luck. :D Will you have a follow-up consult at your clinic in the near future?

By the way --With me, AF started once about a week or so later. Last time, AF started right away after I stopped the progesterone shots, but then in the 2nd month after the BFN, AF came 2 weeks later than I expected. So, it can really vary. You ought to get a normal to heavy period - at least I did.

LuAnne and socal - congratulations, ladies! Fantastic news. Socal, when do you go for your Beta?

Catharine - happy to hear your OHSS symptoms are subsiding and that you can start enjoying your pregnancy. Couldn't believe that your boss actually called the hospital to confirm your stay...hasn't he ever heard the phrase, "invasion of privacy"?? Try not to think too much about it, the stress is probably the last thing you need. Sorry to have brought it up again!! Take care of yourself!!!!! Fingers are crossed for your U/S appt today.

Kim & Jen - good luck to you ladies with the start of your treatments this month!! Very exciting time!

Yasmina - when do you think you'll be able to start tmt again?

Jen - sorry to read about your fender bender. Glad you all are okay! Hope the repairs aren't too terribly expensive and that you'll have your travelling home back on the road again in no time.

As my clinic finally reopens today, after their 6 week holiday...I sent an email to my IVF doc last night to get in touch, see what he thought about my recent round of tests my regular doctor did last month -- and, lo and behold, around 10pm on a Sunday night, I had a response from the IVF doc! -- Of course, he hadn't seen my results yet, but promised to look things over and get in touch this week. What a guy...

Hi to everyone I didn't personally greet. Hope you are having wonderful late summer weather wherever you may be.

xx Amy

Chriss, so sorry hun for your BFN. It sounds like you already have the ball rolling to get started again. Infertility requires a lot of determination, guts, and stamina in order to keep trying. Especially for those of us over forty. My AF was 10 days after getting off of injections for both of my IVF cycles.

JenB, glad to hear that your headaches are better. I had a headache most all weekend. I know mine is the BCPs. I only have 7 more days of the BCPs. Yippeee. Bummer about the wreck. Sounds like you and Broc got a little rest while DH was handling it all. Do you guys drive on the right or left side of the road?

LuAnne and Socal,

LuAnne, good luck with your repeat beta today. Hope it doubles. When do you go for your first scan?

Catharine, so glad to hear that OHSS is better. Best of luck on your U/S today. Please keep us posted. I cannot believe your boss, what a jerk. I would have to have a comeback to him/her that was totally embarrassing. Like "Did you request a lab sample of the vaginal excretions when you called?" Sorry, but where I work things like that could get a boss in some deep do-do. Do you think the nausea is morning sickness or from the OHSS?

Amy, sounds like your ER is on the ball. Hope you are starting things soon.

Love and hugs,
Kim
