Discussion forum for those who had completed their IVF treatments without a successful outcome and are seeking other options such as adoption, surrogacy etc.
Hi Ogr my point exactly its nothing to do with finding a good home its a profit thing also found charity's supposedly mediating donated embryos still want around $4,000 per embie that's not even including all the adoption costs i thought it might be an affordable option for me and hubby to try but looks like even that's out of reach....ooo bugger
i will keep the faith things will find a way if we are meant to do this it will happen....
love to all Aunty
Me 42 ,DH 45 ...3 IVF's BFN

dh and I have already talked about this and it is an option for us once I have have carried this baby to term and it's healthy. he already has 1 ds and I really only want 1 baby. we have 3 frosties left. I know your ins runs out at the end of the year- but we'd be due about dec 8th... I'll keep you posted as to our decision.
doesn't make sense for them just to sit there in the freezer!
my DH and I have researched adopting embryos significantly. We are going to try DE first as my husband is not ready to let go of the hope of having a genetic baby but if that doesn't work we may try embryo donation. There are several agencies that handle this but I liked National Embryo Donation Center best. They are not as expensive as using other agencies and it seems to be atop-notch program.
Just like normal adoption - for embryo adoption be prepared to have to go throguh the home study. Every agency that I found requires this. Open adoption is also somehitng that is very common with embryo adoption - I am not particularly keen on the idea of open adoption - but just be prepared to address those two issues along the emryo donation route.
