Nothing like leaving it to the last minute .....

Post by Helen G »

Hi girls

Just thought I'd let you know that dh and I have finally decided to do the deed and get married!!!! We've been together for just over 12 years and have ummed and aaared about whether or not we would get married before the babies are born. Anyway, last night we finally agreed that we should and have booked the necessary appointments at the registry office. We're aiming for 3rd October by which time I'll be 33 weeks pregnant. Let's hope the babies don't arrive early!!!!!!!!!!!

We're going for the minimalist approach - two witnesses and us!!

LOL Helen
xx

CONGRATULATIONS HELEN!!!!! :D

That's great news and I'm sure your boys will wait to arrive until after your other big day. We got married almost on a whim 5 years ago - just went down and booked the first available Saturday at the Register Office. And we just had 2 friends as witnesses, plus their partners. It was a great day - nice and relaxed - and I can recommend it. We later in the year had a party for everyone; you'll have a double excuse for a party a few weeks later!

Jules

Thanks Jules

That's pretty much what we're hoping to do. A couple of friends as witnesses, maybe a nice dinner and hotel in the evening. Once the boys have arrived we could have a party for family, etc. Mind you, I expect it'll take a while before we're ready to organise that!?

It seems funny phoning up the registry office and asking them when their next available slot is!! Makes me feel like we're having a shotgun wedding and we all know how far away from the truth that is!! Hardly unplanned!! :-) :-)

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Helen xx

Thanks Kirsty! It's funny, without you ladies having to think about it too much - I mentioned to Tony last night that traditionally couples consummate their marriage, preferably on the wedding night! We both looked at my belly and thought about what size it would be in 5 weeks time - should be interesting!?

tmi I know!

LOL Helen xx
