Well I heard from the RE. I have one 4 cell grade A- no fragmentation, and a 6 cell B- 2 fragmentation, and both will be transferred tomorrow at noon. I pray all goes well and both make it through the night and during the transfer. I'll have to do some research on fragmentation.....not sure what that means.

Christin..Any update? Can't wait to hear how things are going for you, I hope all is well.

Wishful... Good luck with the scan tomorrow, and am excited to hear the outcome of the hidden ovary! I am sure all will be well.

Prog Injections start tonight...JOY!

I know that you are a bit discouraged, but you have TWO embryos!!! That is still great news. You are still in this game, and you are kicking butt like a champ. You are going to do great tomorrow. How exciting!! You get to see your two babies tomorrow. They are finally going to be home with their Mommy like they are supposed to be! Good luck!

Wishfull27
It is not uncommon that doctors (and their assistants) rush through visits, and dont' do 100% of their job. I am sure that during the scan, this was the case. You are in my prayers. Can't wait to hear the report on all of the beautiful follies on your R.ovary tomorrow!

lala
I commend you on being very obidient and staying on bed rest after the ET....but the suspense is killing us all!!! We can wait to hear from you girl!

Dexter and Kelly
I miss you two! When are yalls test dates?

Update
I heard back from the RE this morning. So as of yesterday morning we had 7 that were progressing through fertilization. This morning the RE called, and he started laughing when he told me that "Although you had 7 yesterday that were progressing nicely..." and suddenly I got scared, but I just kept listening, ...."today you now have EIGHT that are doing really well!" I gained a baby! I can't believe it. I was so happy. My DH has had a smile on his face all day bc that means his little men are doing their jobs!!! So needless to say, today was a great report for me.

In terms of the transfer, RE said that he wanted me to wait until Wednesday to do the 5-day transfer. So only a couple of more days until my little ones get to snuggle up with me!

Howdy chicks,

Just checkin in..

Got the call from the lab on Sunday to say that our frosties had survived a further 3 days in the lab and are all set to be frozen..so the number was 6 afterall! 6 blasts on ice - woo hoo. They grow them even longer to make sure they are super strong before freezing apparantley. Really pleased they made it.

Wow it's all happening on here now. Great work everyone. Looking fwd to hearing all the news over the next few days.

What are POI shots? Don't have to do them myself. I'm just on the Crinone gel twice a day. Bloody awful stuff it is and makes BBs very sore and me very tired.

No symptoms for me. Am convinced it hasn't worked. Went to the shops yesterday to buy some HPTs for the weekend and guess what..?? I chickened out. Not going to do it. Can't take the agony, so I've decided against a HPT this time round. Hopefully I can stick to this! AGH!!!!

Test date for me is a week today - Mon 17th Sept. I had 3 complete days of rest after ET and am now itching to get back to work. Have 6 shows this week, so that will hopefully make the week go faster :-)

Take it easy ladies. Thinking of you all ~

Hi ladies. Sorry I have been so drowy all day long and really didn't have the energy to do anything until now. So update here-

We have two embies transferred!!! Yes, two! TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO TWO!!! They are both grade A, and I don't know if we heard wrong from the embryologist, he said they are now in the 100 cell stage??? But overall, he said they are very good embryos. The reason why we decided to do two is because we finally decided at the last minute to increase the chances of pregnancy as the progesterone shot has just been killing me. Plus, embryologist said if we do one, our chances of success is 50%, but if we put two, it jumps up to 70%. Our chances of having twins is about 40%. So, that means, there's still 60% chance of us not having twins. Either way is really fine with me, and I am so happy right now to have these little ones finally reunited with me. We have three grade A embies frozen already, 4 are still dividing at the early stage. We will get a call tomorrow or the following day to see how they turn out, so we might end up having more to freeze.

It's a great day for me today. I can't ask for more. Sorry if it seems like gloating. I am in no way trying to do that. But I'd love to share my pains as well as my joys with all of you ladies :P

Chrisin Hi sweetie. That's great great news you have there too. You've got one more baby developing. THat's just awesome! Did you say you are going to transfer two as well?

Dexter You've got great news to share today as well. You've got strong blasts growing and I am so happy for you. Congratulations! THat must be such a relief. POI shots are progesterone shots that are given intramuscularly. I will need that for two weeks and then switching to progesterone gel. Some clinics require their patients to do it for 12 weeks. Some do it simultanesouly with prog. gel. There are many different practices out there. I am sooooooooooooooo looking forward to stopping the shots because like I said, they are killing me. My behind hurts so bad.

Keisha Welcome back girl. We miss you! And you are the official champ. I commend you for your everlasting PMA! WAY TO GO!

Carolyn Hey, the fact that you feel cramps on both sides means that your right ovary is working, I think. Good luck tomorrow in finding that hidden ovary. I will wait patiently for your detailed report tomorrow.

KelleyGood luck also with the PIO shots. I hope they go easy on you. So you are going in for ET tomorrow? That's great! I am so excited for you. The procedure is real easy, except the need-to-hold-the-peepee part  I am sure you will do just fine.

Hey, for those of you on PIO already, anyone experiencing nausea, diarrhea, headache, loss of appetite? Yup, I am feeling all that, in addition to the excruciating pain in my behind

Hey all-

I just read through everyone's posts and am now caught up. My husband and I took a little trip this weekend and it certainly heped take my mind off of IVF.

I don't have time to reply to everyone today but it sounds like many of you are doing very well. Good job!

Dexter- You and I are on the exact same schedule. I too am testing on 9/17/07 and am trying to stay away from HPT test as well. From everything I've read they are EVIL. We only have about a week left until the test date. My BB's have been sore but they get sore before every month before AF comes. Let's hope it's not for the same reason this week. I too do not have any symptoms and keep going back and forth telling myself that it didn't work and then telling myself it's much too early to have any symptoms. I pray that it did work, this cycle all came out of pocket for us and it's pricey in the US!!

The POI injections haven't been bad for me at all. I don't ice at all because I heard that it will have a hard time getting into your muscle. I've put a heating pad on the injection site afterward and then make sure I rub it really well and I haven't gotten too sore. I can't say the same for the trigger shot but we all react differently to the meds.

Good luck to everyone!!! 8 days until pregnancy test and counting.....

Hi guys

Just a quick update as got to go away tonight for business meeting tom :D

had further scan today - still could not see right ovary - they are assuming has mnot stimulated - however three at least on left have grown to 1 x22, 1x19, 1x18.5 and he thinks there are another couple of small ones.

He said due to my age and dose of stimulant on already that next time may not be any better so go for it this time :D

So i am officially going to trigger at 8pm tonight - so excited

Then ER planned for 8am on wednesday

Good luck and baby dust to rest of you - will do proper post when back tom

lots of love carolyn x

I am so glad to hear that you are going to complete your cycle. I was going to be sad if you ended it after going this far. The 3 follies that they have been able to identify are a great size. And who knows, the RE may find more after he starts the procedure. Good luck with the trigger tonight. Mine wasn't bad at all. I had the pre-filled Ovidrel syringe. The needle was small like Lupron.

Sonu911
Good luck with the trigger tonight! Take it easy for the next few days, until Wednesay so that your follies can effectivly react to the trigger. I can't wait to hear your news on Wednesday.

Kelly
I am so glad to hear that you aren't having any pains, etc. and that you feel fine. I am praying AF away for you, Dexter, and lala !! The 17th will be here before you know it. My RE said they are going to test meon the 19th..which will be 10 days from ER, not 10 days from ET. I wonder why it is different?

lala
I am so happy for you!!!! TWO embies...I am proud of you for making that decision. I know it was a hard one, but I truely believe it is worth it. DH and I are transferring Two as well. I think I would even let them tranfer three if the doctor gave me the option...LOL!! And I am 100% with you regarding sharing your joys. I am the same way. I never ever want to come off as bragging, but you gals are the only ones that ever understand my happines or sadness. We are all here through the thick AND thin right???? Great job lala!!!! What is your test date?

Dexter
Very happy to hear about the 6 frosties. That is great news!! Now the only other thing that will be better is when we get that BFP from you!!!

Update
All 8 embies are still fighting! The IVF Coordinator said that by day three they like to see them at least an 8-cell. Six of mine are 8-cell and above. The other two aren't far behind at 7-cell. I am very proud of these embies. They are fighting to be with their Mommy!

Hello everyone.... I went in for the transfer today..that part was smooth, no pain...took about 2 minutes. Was hard with a full bladder though.

The two embies were around 6-7 cells and I think the other around 8..grades B & C - one had quite a bit of fragmentation, and he removed what he could. They also did Assisted Hatching....At this point we are expecting the worse, but of course hoping for the best. At the beginning we thought we were only dealing with male issues, but Dr said it was clear that I had some issues as well...although I don'[t think he want to talk about it, until after the test..cuz hey...who knows...maybe they'll stick.

I can tell you that I am TIRED TIRED TIRED of people saying...Well maybe you should be happy with the one you have....(a miracle little 4 yr old boy..naturally) Next time..no one will know I am doing this.

Good luck to the rest of you ladies!!!!! I am praying for EVERY one of us!!

Christin....So happy to hear that your little embies are growing so well and all seem to be so strong! What more could you hope for at this point!!!Good Luck..The transfer was litterally a breeze....
