Hi Everyone :D

Rebecca- :D Im feeling ok thanks, trying not to think about things too much. These are the worst 2 weeks ever! Sorry your morning sickness is so bad but when you see your 2 little beanies on friday it will all be worth it :D

JenB- :D Hope you are ok after your accident  whiplash is very painful so look after yourselves. I have emailed you hope you have received it.
I am off for 2 weeks so Im not back in work untill the 24th, I just couldn't think of going back on the day or day after getting the result so my gp gave me a sick note.Dh is off too he had holidays to take so we have been pottering around, its nice just spending time together.

Kelly- :D Sounds like your clinic are really doing their best for you. The wait will be well worth it! We used donor sperm this time but only got to find out hair colour, eye colour and blood group! sounds like you get to know a lot more.

Jen1- :D Bloody hell 2 weeks   thats quick! They dont hang around, I so wish we had some frosties so we could get another go if this is a bfn. I hope you can make a decision about your tmt that you are happy with it must be hard knowing what to do. Take care hun

Kim- :D We've still got at least another 7 days left until our test date, we wont get the results until the 18th at the earliest! Hope you had a lovely walk today :D

Carloyn- :D I have been trying to forget about it, its just so difficult and I wish I was feeling more positive. Try not to work to hard in work but enjoy all your social events as the dreded 2ww wont be too long away and you'll have to take things easy then

Hi to everyone I've missed, hope you are all ok.
Take care
Lots of love

Hi Kim

We call it down regulating in a long fresh cycle. Where you switch off your system. We use burselin injections or supercur (sniffing).

As far as I am aware, we get away without doing that in Spain.

We do birth control pills to hold off our AF until the donor is at the right point in her cycle. I am sure that she may down reg (for us!) Then we have AF at the right time. Then we have patches that boast our lining and I guess that they give us the hormones for the luteral phase post-ovulation. So we don't ovulate naturally.

Then we do the stuff after transfer to help support the embies.

Know that quite often the stuff we do in Europe is different to the US for Fresh and Frozen cycles so may be the same for donor too. May be you use down regging to switch off and get you in synch with the donor and we use bcps.

If I have got it wrong then sure one of the other girls who is further ahead than me will jump in. Try not to worry about it. All sorts of differences exist but hopefully we are all moving towards the same end result.

Take good care Kim.
Love
Carolyn

Hi

Well you are all going to die of shock when you hear this one

The developments of the day are

My consultant from old clinic rang and said there is no reason for me to have a hysteroscopy as i've had all the checks done before and all is fine.

My Dr from IM called and said the same, but so we dont have to go back and forward for tests they are going to give me a doppler scan only on the day of ET. This is a 10-15 mins scan to check the endometrial vascularitation (flow) is ok.
She wants me to take some antibiotics just now as if there IS an infection, although there is NOT, but this will make sure all is clear for ET rather than getting there, finding an infection then having to come home with medi then back for ET.
I feel happy with this and Dr Guix said there is no reason the embryos can not implant, its just a case of having to try again---------and i am just so grateful i have embies to try again.

So the patches are on and i will be having my scan on the 17th then ET on the 28th Sep.

The flights are costing a fortune and we will have to find a hotel plus dh is having to lie and take a sicky and i've got a massive headache again with the first patch but apart from that our nerves are still intact---just

Am in work this afternoon and on early tomorrow then have to go visit the Dr for all my medi but will email after that.

Gill - Hope your ok babe, not long to go until your big BFP day

Hello all

Jen1 – Stay strong, your ET will be here before you know it, hope the headaches ease. Bummer about the flights. Look after yourself and try not to get too stressed easier said than done I know.

Carolyn – My head was spinning just reading your thread you are one super busy girl, I know what you mean though, the busier you are the less time you have to think. I had loads going on in July and August for that reason. Keep the faith honey your final room for decoration will be a babies room I’m sure. I don’t have to do any further bloods apart from updating my Hep B & C and HIV.

Kelly – Good luck with donor selection its nice to have a plan and your clinic seems to have covered all angles for you.

Jen b - oh my god you poor thing thank god your OK, as if you have not got enough going on right now, there are so many idiots on roads out there.

Rebecca- Good luck for Friday hope morning sickness and tiredness not too bad, I had to jump off the train on the way to wok many a time to be sick it became part of my new routine for a while then about 13wks I was fine.

Gill – Hope you ok and keeping positive.

Kim – Not long before you start good luck.

Hi to everyone else hope you are all ok

Slight change in my plans Mr Trew at Hammersmith wants to see me before my trial cycle which is a bit of a pain, still hoping I can start trial end of September just awaiting confirmation from Mr Trew.

Hi :D

Jen1- :D Fantastic news that you can go again so soon  Not long to wait and the price of the flights will be worth paying for. Hope the headaches are not too bad. How exciting for you babe :D Thanks for starting the thread, just hope it worth all your lovely sparklies!

Vicki- :D Glad your doc is looking after you well its good that he's keeping an eye on you, but I hope it wont delay your tmt.

Rebecca- :D Hope you are ok and that the morning sicknes is not too bad.

JenB- :D Spending lots of time with dh, it is lovely to have him around on this awful 2ww. Glad the whiplash and headaches are better and that dh enjoyed his acu!

As for me, I'm finding it very dificult :? , I wish I was more positive. Its just that this is our last hope, not getting any frosties has been very dificult to deal with :( as it could have meant an extra chance.
I have had some mild cramping pains but nothing much else, I am still hoping that this will work and I'll find out on Tuesday!!!!Still keeping everything crossed.
Take care
Lots of love

Rebecca, not much longer until you get to take a look at those beanies. I can't wait to hear how many.

JenB, thanks for the compliments. That picture was taken last November (for our Christmas photo) in my mom & dad's backyard. The three black dogs are ours but they are outside dogs. They do keep each other entertained. My DH hunts quail (bird) with those dogs. It is amazing to see them hunt and point the quail - they live for that. We only have one dog in the house. Wes is a West Highland Terrier and is a wonderful house companion. He was not in the photo that day because he was being groomed. I received all my meds yesteday and start the shots Sunday. I am really looking forward to getting off the BCPs. I haven't had any more bad headaches, but boy they make me hungry. How are your headaches? Glade to hear the whiplash is better. Sounds like DH is making the best of the acu.

Jen1, wow girl that is quick. I think the fact that they are confident that all the tests that can be done have been done is great. Sorry to hear about the expensive flights but save the tickets so you can put them in the baby book. They will be well worth it. Just keep us posted on your progress.

Carolyn, you busy bee what are you up to this weekend? Any more books?

Gill, sorry to hear you are starting to get discouraged. Keep your chin up and think positive BABY thoughts. Sending a bunch of baby dust your way. Do you test Friday or Monday? I know you said you didn't get the results until Tuesday.

Vicki, so glad you have a Dr. who is staying on top of things. The end of September is not far off. Keep us posted on all the details.

Kelly, have you guys started the donor selection process yet. That was a tough and lengthy decision for us. I know it would be just the same for DS. I know I am using DE, but I am reading a book on DS and it is very enlightening and thought provoking. It is called Helping the Stork. Good luck.

BigJ and Sonia, haven't heard from you in a little bit. Everything going smoothly?

As for me, DH surprised me last night with a dinner at a nice restuarant for my birthday. He invited my family and best friend (15 in all). Today is actually my birthday but we have church tonight after work, so last night worked better. No dieting last night - pigged out with a center cut filet of beef and LOTS of other stuff. Had to work today - that was a bummer.

Take care everyone,
Kim

Thanks JenB for the M&Ms birthday wish. I love the ones you eat also. You come up with the cutest graphics!! My Westie is a he "Wes" and he is white. DH's dogs are gun dogs but they are very well behaved. Labs are primarily used for duck hunting in the US. I'll have to put a picture of Wes on photo bucket some time. Have a great trip.

Thanks Gill for the birthday wish. How are you holding up? Not much longer. Hey we are up to the weekend and all you have to do is try and find something to do this weekend to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied. I know easier said than done. Any twinges or symptoms? I hope you have a great weekend and try your best to relax.

 Hi

Sorry girls, i have been snowed under at work as we had an inspection for the last two days. Have just been organising our trip and finally sat down so its wont be a long one.

Consultant from the clinic i had 4 cycles rang and Dr rang from IM, both stressing that i dont need hysteroscopy as i've had enough treatment to look into uterus etc and all has been fine. When i had my tubes removed they also did full check up and nothing is there, its just bad luck that the embies are not implanting and i just need to keep trying. Its great to know nothing is wrong but frustrating they wont stick.

So 27th we fly out, 28th ET the 29th home-------again

Flights are costing a bomb and we can only get a return one at 8am which is a bit of a nightmare but needs must. We have decided to stay at Hotel Husa L'ille, looks fab and just beside the shopping we love.

Cant believe everything has gone so fast but Anna did warn me it could be like this and we jsut thought there is no need to wait. Just praying this is our time and we can have some luck----we have been waiting long enough for it

Went to see my Dr today and she has given me all the medi----£28 worth.

IM have decided to put me on antibiotics for 2 weeks as if there is an infection etc so when i go for my doppler scan all will be clear an healthy, whether i had an infection or not. Dr Guix didnt want me getting to IM and having a problem then i would have to go home, take antibiotics then back for ET so this way we will be ready for ET after doppler. So now i'm on 3 lots of tablets twice a day and patches

Gill - You are so close babe and the cramping sounds good. Dont give up, you are going to be smiling on the 17th when the 2 lines glow  Thats the day i'm having my scan, its will great news all round,

Kim - Happy birhtday, hope you had fun. I checked out your photo on photobucket, you look so glam

Jen - Hope your feeling etter after your crash. When are you thinking you might be going over to IM, any ideas?

Carolyn - Hope your keeping your chin up, dont like you feeling down. You are so close, i know its been slow but your time is coming soon. Here for you if you need a chat.

Vicki, Kelly, Rebecca, BigJ, Sonia - thinking of you all.

Ok must get some sleep i'm whacked.
