Hi everyone I am just starting the IVF process next month. Pretty excited but scared. I am an army wife so my husband is gone a lot and I am doing this all alone since my hubby will be in Iraq. We froze his baby makers so I could do this in case he wasnt here for me to do it. How hard is it to give or get the shots? Do they hurt? Anyhow the doc said we are gonna be all done w/ this by December so that should put me w/ a due date of next Sept. Hubby wont be home for any of this. Kinda sad. :( Any advice??? We are going to a Nashville Fertility Specialist. Anyone else in the Nashville, Tn area doing this as well?

Thanks y'all!!

Hello!

I gave myself all of my shots and had no problem, apart from finding the time to do them when running late for work. I think generally speaking the needles are so small that you don't feel much on the stims medication. From what I hear the progesterone shots are a different story though...not everyone has to have them though! Have you thought about joining a cycling thread in the General Forum, you can get some good support in those....

first of all --- WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!! i think you'll find this forum/message board thing an absolutely amazing support network for you!!    gals out here are UNBELIEVABLE!!

shots were a piece of cake!! honestly --- you get so caught up in the "end result" (a real live baby) -- that you're more 'excited' about the whole shot routine thing than anything else.......and you do it and you can't believe you did it afterwards.....and its the most rewarding experience EVER!!!

a piece of advice......you may want to go over into the "General Forum" --- where there are threads for "September Cycle Buddies" (or whatever month)....just a lot more action over there of other gals going thru EXACTLY the same thing as you!

***** GOOD LUCK & LOTS OF HAPPY BABY MAKING DUST TO YOU!!!
