Good Morning.....

Malinka-I think we would worry less if it had been easy to get preg. I've been lurking on regular preg threads and the concerns aren't the same. We all definately worry entirely too much, but who can blame us.

Wannabeone- COngrats on the movement, DH must have been thrilled, my DH is still a little freaked out when he feels the movement. I am also very large, I don't think I would look that big but my boobs are size E right now.

TansRN- How was the appointment?

ChristineB-Good Luck with your appointment today!

I go to my reg OB today, just measures my belly, weight, urine and BP oh and I never get tired of hearing my beautiful babies HB.

Have a great day all!!

Hi ladies:
Well my cervix measured 2.3 on Tuesday and the peri is happy with anything above 2 so he decided no cerclage (he is now on vacation for 3 weeks) I really hope it was the right decision. We are getting so close to viability. I am still always hoping for the best and preapring for the worst.
Noodle- the rest isnt so bad. I am greatful I am home on rest rather than in the hospital. I pretty much toss from side to side and get up to eat and potty. Whatever keeps my baby in there longer.
On a lighter note- I am going ot be an auntie for the first time any day now. My brother and sister in law's baby is due and seems to be weighing around 7 lbs. It's funny you say you were lurking on other boards- whenever I ask my Sis in law a question that i think for sure she knows the answer to she has no idea. I asked her if she is dialated at all and she had no clue- didnt bother to ask her dr at her last apt. Things like that we obssess about :)

wannabeone - I'm so glad you are feeling lots of movement! My DH says guys just don't have a clue what it feels like inside us and they kinda miss out on that part of life. Just encourage them to feel your tummy as often as possible. And don't worry too much about the labor. You will hear all different experiences from different women. It can be easy or hard. My experience was the most rewarding and I knew I would do it again without question. Hang in there!

noodle - Glad you are doing well! It's wonderful to hear those lovely heartbeats!

As for me - I had my checkup today and my OB said I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule. So she wants me to have an ultrasound at 28 weeks to measure the baby and fluid. I've gained 8 lbs total so far. My blood pressure and sugar and baby's heartbeat are fine. Having a little pressure in my chest since my uterus is pressing upwards and making my stomach push upwards. She said that makes sense since I'm measuring ahead. So I go on Oct 10th for the ultrasound, glucose test and my checkup. I'm a little nervous about the 2 week issue but we just have to wait and see.

I wish all of you lovely ladies the very best. Looking forward to further updates! Take Care!

Hey guys
Not much to report at my appointment. They did the usual. Weight, BP, blah blah blah. Anyhow he said that I am measuring 30 weeks and that things are looking good. That is all I know now that I didnt know before. I did have an u/s just to peek at them and that was fun but I had the sucky u/s lady and she got one yes only one semi ok photo of one of my babies. She sucks. My cervix is still over 4 so we are looking good there. I guess I am reassured for another two weeks. Then I see the peri just to make sure one last time that things are looking good with them. Yeah!! She does a really good job and gets great photos.

Malinka
I hate my clinic as well. I really do. I only went there because it was closer than my usual guy who is an hour and a half each way. With working nights I wasnt ready to sacrifice my sleep to drive three hours plus an appointment. I was so tired. Anyhow the new clinic stinks and no one ever knows who I am or wants to call me back. The doctor said yesterday we put people off of work at 28 weeks and it is something to think about---MORON your clinic already put me out last week!!!! How dumb. I just want to have my babies and get out of there. I totally know what you mean about it all being surreal kind of. I still can't believe it either. It is sp weird.

Wannabeone
You will be fine!!!! many women have done it. You work with your body and things go much better than fighting the contractions. It will be a good experience to go through. Painful yes I wont lie about that but then you get your baby out and it is so wonderful and you will cry when you see and hear them!!! It is such a great time in your life. Take the lamaze classes just for good background information and then go for it!!!!

Rikirees
Good job on the cervical length. That is great. I am so glad to hear from you!!! Take care

Happy Friday...yeah DR appt went OK, HB was 158, I think the fastest she has ever been was 149...scarrrrryyyyy, my need to analyze everything. The DR scale seemed a little off, according to it I gained 9lbs in 6 days. I'm going to weigh myself when I get home for an accurate total, I cannot imagine I've already gained 25lbs, although my size E bras are not fitting very well anymore, I didn't think it went past DD what size is next. No stretch marks yet...some good news

Malinka- it is almost unbearable to have a DR you don't like, hang in there! You're precious cargo will be safe in your arms soon!
ChristineB-8lbs you are too good!
Rikirees- Congrats on being an Aunt! Family is so important to me, I have 3 nieces and 1 newphew and many. many , many cousins, aunts and uncles, It makes life so much easier.
TansRN-glad to hear appt went well, can you request a different tech? or is it better not to piss anyone off?

We are off to Baltimore this weekend the 2 seater convertible is going to a new home...new addition would have a had time finding aplace to sit. We are trading in for a new Jeep, I guess we cannot completely grow up. Have a great weekend! Enjoy!

Have a good trip!! Sounds good to trade in and get a jeep! As far as for the u/s tech I nonchalantly asked her name and what days she works and then I am going to sched my appts for days she is not working!! Sneaky huh? Who cares I want a good tech. She will have to deal with it. I was nice to her though.

Christine
You are right. That is why I created my scam to get around her. I mean it isnt every day I will be having twins!!! LOl

Well not much going on for me this week. Just physical therapy three times this week...thats about it for me. Babywise. Talk to you guys later...

VERY LITTLE CHATTER LATELY LADIES...HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING OK

I ate too much for lunch and my belly hurts, oh well. My little Sydney is not moving much today, but was all over the place last night. DH had his hand on my belly and she kept kicking it...like get away...funny! We went to look at baby furniture this weekend, I'll probably buy online, find a deal or bid on ebay, but wanted to look at what the quality of particular brands. All the baby clothes and stuff is quite amazing, it takes everything in me not to go crazy and buy, buy, buy, but I promised DH I would refrain until after shower. My sister, MIL and BF are planning for 2nd week in December...anybody else getting antsy????

Hello All

Noodle
That is exciting about buying furniture. I found my graco double stroller on ebay for 50 less than the stores-brand new! They have a lot of great products for sale check out the seller babyage at babyage.com. They have some really good deals on ebay. i know what you mean about buying so many clothes. I went nutty! I just got my second crib put up and it was really difficult with these two growing....a lot harder than I thought but I persevered!!!

Hey all, I'm glad that everyone seems to be doing well.
We moved into a ground floor apt. last week and I had to go without internet for the last week. SHEW Glad that is over. Well we had our detailed sono and lil bit's belly seemed to measure 2 weeks larger not just that but he is measuring bigger...Oh wow humm I wonder if that means he is gonna be a big boy like his daddy.... But overall he weighed 13 ounces and I am now on the high risk list so insurance will pay for my sono appts every 2 weeks to check my cervix. They said that thus far my placenta seems to be moving as is should but I still can't lift over 5 pounds.. So Doc said that my purse had to go on a diet. So far my cervix is still measuring right above 3.0 so that is real good Dr said that he is happy with anything over 3 so I hope it stays that way.

Well I will check in tomorrow to see how everyone is.

Tanya- thanks for the link--I found the set I wanted but...it's out of the UK and they won't deliver ($$$$$$$) cannot justify it. So my search continues! Did you look at those double cribs? One on top of the other?? Almost looked like cages, but space wise a great idea.

Steph- I cannot imagine moving in my current condition, although it would be nice to get everything organized...na....clutter is my style, it's how I roll. Here's wishing you much luck in your new abode! Great US results...it's just nice to see baby, isn't it, every 2 weeks is much better than my every 6 weeks.

I am going to try and not over eat today....but food is sooooooo good!

Great to hear that your appointment went well. That is great about the measurement of your little tike! It is always good news to hear that your cervix is doing well. I am happy for you on that note. That is really great. Glad that you are moved in and on a ground floor. Even better. I hate moving with a passion. I really hate moving. I know it has to be done and we are starting to look for a bigger house but still it is going to suck when it does happen. At least everything gets clean!!!!

Not much here....babies are moving around all the time and I am just sucking up every moment of it. I love it!!!!

Hi Ladies,

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well or resting so they can continue to do well.

Question - Rikirees mentioned "viability" recently. Out of curiosity: at what point does the baby reach viability technically?
