I know I am a weak person, I caved in and have done a few hpt's and today I got a positive! I promise not to get excited too prematurely I just feel more encouraged. With all this OHSS business I was getting a little down. I did the ovidrel 13 days ago and the package insert says it stays in your body for 10 days so hopefully the test is correct.
I have sore boobs but that could also be due to the progesterone. The other funny thing that is happening is I can feel my accupuncture points from the last session. When I spoke with my nd she said that is a good thing.
I went back to RE today and they checked on the OHSS and said there seems to be less fluid. It sure doesn't feel like it to me but they are the experts. He said I can return to work Monday if I feel up to it so I think I will. I can just see the kids eyes now with my belly the way it is.
I hope the rest of you are doing well xoxoxoxo Lots of baby dust to all!

yarnista -
that's great on the positive HPT! :D

I'm still too scared to take an HPT. Holding out until Monday for my BFP!!!

Chelle -
It's not a bad thing you are last for beta test. Remember, saving the best for last, right? :P :P :P

I'm dying with this waiting and waiting and waiting. But DH and I have been trying to get out of the house more, visit with family, go to the movies, pretty much anything to try and keep our minds busy. Easier said than done!!! :P

Hopefully Monday will come with the news we so soo sooo want to hear!!!
:D :D :D :D

Bernie -
I'm sure you are still walking on air! And yes, I agree with Chelle! Tell your DH you still need pampering for the next 9 months! So did you have any symptoms at all? I'm trying to be positive but still a little nervous even with slight cramping off and on, not sure I have felt anything I might consider implantation, though I have no clue what that might feel like... so all I can do is dream and wonder.... Just curious if you had any clue you were getting BFP?

Well, talk to everyone soon! Here's wishing MONDAY WOULD GET HERE FAST!!!

Scare followed by good news

Post by Chelle »

Well last night I had a scare, went to the loo and I had some bleeding apologies for TMI but it's wasn’t red blood, just like really watery brown, almost like tinted urine, but it def is blood. My period would have been due on Monday and I'm due to HPT on Thursday morning.

Me and DH rushed to Asda last night at 11.30pm to get some tests. We were so stressed out we figured that at least if we tested we would have more information. We bought two tests and did one last night. I decided if it was negative I would accept it, but if it showed positive, I could still hold on to some hope.

Test done...................................It showed a very strong positive.

I trawled the net looking for info and found a post by an IVF nurse on another site replying to a girl in the same situation with the same symptoms, she said it sounded very much like implantation bleeding and that it is safe to test 10 days after the HCG injection as it should have cleared your system by then.

It is 16 days since my HCG injection and today would be 14 days post ET (including the day they were transferred), most girls would be testing today anyway. I'm really hoping this is a true positive.

Here's another the bit off the web:-

After ovulation the egg travels into the uterus and burrows into the lining of the uterus. For some women implantation will cause slight bleeding or spotting. This is called implantation bleeding. This is sometimes confused for an early period.

Implantation bleeding, also called implantation spotting, does not look like a regular menstrual period. Implantation bleeding is scanty and usually pink or brownish discharge.

Implantation bleeding or menstrual period? Implantation bleeding normally occurs a week to a few days before your period would normally start. Spotting that occurs around a week after ovulation is likely implantation bleeding; whereas, spotting that occurs very close to the time that your period would normally start may not be. A normal menstrual cycle generally starts off light and then gets heavier. Spotting can sometimes be the sign of an early period. If this is the case, the spotting will pick up to heavier bleeding. If you have spotting right around the time your period would normally start, it can be more confusing. You will need to take the wait and see approach or take a pregnancy test to determine

This is crazy as I had totally no intention of testing early, DH and I had discussed it and agreed that if we got a positive we wanted to feel like walking on air and any situation which would cast a shadow of a doubt was a no go. But here we are with a positive too scared to be overjoyed, really don't know what to think!

Chelle so happy for you! I love how you put the picture up too.
I have done my sixth hpt, all come up positive, some a little stronger than others, maybe because the time of day. I have to stop doing them and just wait for Wednesday. I had some severe pain from the OHSS last night still have it today but not nearly as bad. I came back to work first day and the secretary said the principal wants a letter as to why I was out. They are not supposed to ask for that. So, I think I'll have RE write me a letter just saying I was on bed rest.
I was so annoyed because then she told me we are not giving you a sub today either, so I had 75 kids by myself this morning. If it keeps up like that I may just be home for another while, my RE said I could take as long as I want.
I hope the rest of you are all well!

Hi all

This is getting so exciting, I cant believe it.
Julianna, you really have to wait until test date, there were no clues. BUT within a few days now I just pee LOTS, and have sore boobs and I have had occassional twingy pains like period pain. ALL of which are totally normal pregnancy signs according to a friend of mine.

I have to say, keep up the positive thinking, its looking good for all of us. Amazing eh.

My dh is more interested in the rugby world cup now, which I knew would happen! Joy!

Take care.

Hey girls I just got the phone call and it's a BFP for me!!! I'm so happy but I still can hardly believe it. I've been in so much pain from the OHSS I just hope it isn't doing any harm.

We've had a pretty lucky thread here. I hope everyone else get their BFP's too! Love to all!

Chelle, just wondering how your day is going and if you heard anything yet?

Julianna just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you and hope you are doing alright.

I had a much better sleep last night no terrible pain in the middle of the night. My weight is staying the same so that is a good thing. Hope to hear from you soon Chelle!

It's a real BFP!

Post by Chelle »

Hi girls

Just popped in to tell you it truly is a real BFP, I'm thrilled but exhausted as I only got two hours sleep last night. I was so excited when I woke at 2am and tested positive, I couldn't get back to sleep. Took a second test when I got up just to be sure though lol. Yes there is no doubt I'm official preggers, yippee.

Catch up with you all tomorrow....................no energy left to type.
