Well, not long to go now, I am bloody terrified! I know I havent been the most positive person but I have to be realistic and not get my hopes up too much. I have had mild af pains and some spotting over the last 2weeks so I dont think it looks too hopeful but the fat lady hasnt sung yet, so there is still hope. If it works I will be the happiest person alive on the planet :D and if it doesn't ?
I am having my blood test at 9:30 monday the results dont get back to my gp until wednesday!!! :x so I have asked if I can take the blood to the hospital myself and see if we can get the result back on Tuesday, I will let you all know as soon as I find out.(I have got butterflies just writing this down :? )
I finaly got to know my embie quality this morning
2 were 4 cell quality 8 & 6
1 was 2 cell quality 5
I wish they had let me know sooner as they were better than I thought, I know they are not brilliant quality but I had started to think a lot worse as I hadn't heard off the IM about them.

JenB- :D Hope you are ok, glad the whiplash is better. Sorry af is playing up for you,Has it stopped now? Did IM get in touch? if they havent I hope its not to much longer for you now so you can get off those bc pills and on to the patches! Hope you have a fab time in Glasgow next week, sounds like its going to be hectic! :D

Jen1- :D Sorry your having trouble with your ticker again :x I wish I could help but Im amazed that I managed to do it myself! :? Glad you are getting sorted for Big B, it wot be long  , god I cant believe how quick they get you back!

Carolyn- :D I know you are keeping busy so you dont think about Big B too much, but you only have 5 more days to wait and you will be there! :D I hope you manage to relax this weekend, take care x

Anna- :D Hope you and Matthew are well, thanks so much for the pm x

Rebecca- :D Hope you are doing ok and taking it easy.

Hi to everyone else, I hope you are all well and that you have a fab weekend! :D
Lots of love

Hi Girls

Gill – Stay positive not long now, I know its hard. I had spotting and bleeding when I was pregnant with my daughter and went on to have a straight forward easy pregnancy. Hope you mange to get your blood sorted and you don’t have to wait to long for the results.

Jenb – Hope the house stuff goes well and you enjoy your film. Have a nice time in Glasgow take care, hope IM contacts you soon.

Jen1 – Good luck for 27th I’m sure this will be your time, makes sense about antibiotics after all they give you a course every time you have EC just in-case-basis.

Kim - Happy belated birthday. I love surprises especially when it involves food.

Carolyn – Hope you OK, not long now honey.

Hello to everyone else, have a great weekend everyone.

My appointment with Hammersmith on 5th Oct should not delay tmt, I will start my Estradiol tablets on the 1st Oct as planned.

My daughter started pre-school this week just two morning a week, it was very hard leaving her hoping she would be OK and not get upset, as it turns out she was fine and had a ball. I can’t believe how quick time is going I wish I could freeze her, 3 is such a great age.

IT IS THE WEEKEND! 8) :D

Rebecca - think that your 1st scan was today. Hope all went really well for you hun. Two beanies or 1 little one. Do let us know. So hope that all was well. Must have been so exciting for you. Was dh there???

Gill - hang in there. You have done so well. Just think of what Anna will tell you about a Grade 8 embie that is sleeping in her house  Hope that 8 will be a lucky number for you

Vicki - off to see Trewster. Gosh makes me realise how long I have been on this path. Not seen him for a good few months now. I am sure that it is good that he sees you first & can ensure that you are in great shape to get started. Hope that it does not cause any delays as sure that you are keen to get started. Wow. Your little girl off to pre-school already. Bet it has flown by for you

Jen1d - cannot believe that you are going again so soon. I will try to have a go at sorting out your ticker as you asked me so nicely. Good Luck for your scan on Sunday. Sorry that the flights cost a bomb but it will be worth it all in the end babe

JB - the Bourne film is great. We went a couple of weeks ago. Loved it. We waited a few weeks after it came out because we wanted to see the 1st and 2nd ones on TV/DVD first. Glad that the acu has helped you. Hope that you enjoy the course, catching up with old mates and the dinner for your niece (very smart girl). Sounds like fun. Hope that you hear from IM very soon

Kim - so sorry that I missed your birthday. Not been around much this week as so busy at work. Sounds like your dh really arranged something nice for you. You have to blow the diet from time to time. No more books for me to read - I looked on Amazon and decided that I had got hold of the best ones and it would just frustrate me if I bought others that were not as good

Anna, BigJ, Kelly & Sonia - enjoy the weekend all

I have to go to work at 8am tomorrow to let someone into the building as we have issues with the air con (smells really foul). Somebody had to do it and thought that it would keep me occupied. Getting a manicure tomorrow. Then out in the evening to see my niece/nephew/BIL and SIL. On Sunday I need to write a conference speach which I need to give to 150 Finance Directors (arrggghhh) at the start of October  Never get the chance during the week as have been so busy. Plus seeing a friend who is here from France. She did rounds of ivf which did not work and then adopted a little boy who must be nearly 10 months now. Hope that she will bring him along with her.

In denial about next week. Just don't want to go through it all again. Dh called about our blood groups as I could not be bothered. They lost both sets first time around and now have mine but not his. Not sure why we pay taxes for the nhs????

Have a great weekend ladies.

Lots of Love
Carolyn

 Hi

Well after a few emails and IM pissing me around about the £ for ET, we have to pay the full whack, which the Dr said we didnt, so we are not impressed :x
Anyway, went out the the cinema and now chilling as i'm off the weekend yyiiipppppeeeeeeeee
Going to go and meet friends tomorrow and treat myself to my last coffee yyuuummy as its back to the de-cafe green tea and lemon.

Gill - forgot to say on the other thread, yep Hotel L'ille is just at teh L'ille shopping centre. round the corner from Hotel Atenea on the main Av Diagonal, its about 10mins walk to IM but we found the last time it didnt really matter how close we were to IM as we had to get taxis to acu anyway. The only pro this time is we couldnt get the usual flight home after luch so we had to book the 8am one. We will have to be out of the hotel really early but at least we will get our embies home quicker

Vicki - I trained as a nursery nurse and encouraged all the mums to drop the kids and go so they wouldnt get upset but when i worked as a nanny and had to drop the kids off at school it broke my heart and they werent even MY kids----poor you, it must have been tough

Ok, hi to everyone, have a good weekend.

hi everyone

i crashed out sleeping after work and have only just surfaced :? Dh is out with work and i needed some sleep so went straight to bed. Just a quick update post as i still have to eat and then walk the dog

After hearing no reply email from Im i gave them a call cos the bleeding was red and getting heavier. Boobs also killing me, so full Af defo on the way. All the nurses were busy and Caudia wouldn't help...i had to twist her arm to go talk to a doc and get some info. So eventually she spoke to a doc . They have said to increase the bc pills to 2 a day taken at the same time. the bleeding should stop in 2 days if it doesn't stop by Sun morn i must e mail them ( i think i will phone instead less stressful and quicker). So my meds will now run a week on sunday 23rd...hope the gp here can give me more if i need them. does anyone( from our IM buddies) know what kind of bc pill they are???? i haven't a clue and i don't do spanish translation very good ( at all really) :?

At least it has happened this week as next week i am away in glasgow...so could be worse. just feel floored by my body trying to fight the bc pills...ah well, ce la vie there is always something in this IVF/DE game that throws a spanner in the works eh!!!!

catch ya all over the weekend

TWINS!!!!!!

Baby A is 4.7 mm long and has a heart beat of 115
Baby B is 8 mm long and has a heart beat of 120.

I cried like a baby when I saw their tiny heart beats!!!! Had bleeding the night before and thought it was all over - have never been so scared in my life.

The only down side is I have a blood clot in my uterus too - it's not attached to any of the babies or the placenta - just free floating. There is nothing they can do about it other than hope it goes away by itself and not get bigger. If it does enlarge then it's going to put the pregnancy at risk. On teh positive side it means that I will have another US next week and then another at 9 weeks so they can keep an eye on it and I can say hi to my babies again.

Morning sickness has hit very hard... I feel awful!

Have to go as the computer makes it worse - love to all and have a good weekend, can't wait for you ladies to join me!! XXX

Hello

Rebecca - Twins wow thats fantastic news no wonder you have been so sick, take it easy, look after yourself, try to eat little but often. Good luck with your us next week hope the blood clot has gone by then.

Jenb - Hope the bleeding stops, sorry cant help on the bc pills, have a great weekend and a nice time in Glasgow.

Jen1 - Sorry to hear IM pissing you around how annoying thats the last thing you need especially with your flights being so expensive, lets hope this will be your last visit and a big BFP coming your way. Hope your last coffee was a good one.

Carolyn – I know its hard, the thought of going through it all again and still no guaranties at the end. I felt very overwhelmed by it all just before I went to Madrid as did dh, the thought of going through the whole process, plus having to travel to a different country, felt like too much and I just wanted to forget the whole thing, lie down and take a big nap, but once I been, talked it over with doctors at IVI and had a few days to reflect, I thought I going to do this and its going to work. Keep positive.

Love to everyone, have a great weekend take care.

Hope that the nasty clot stays away. Good that they will monitor you very carefully.

Can only imagine how exciting it must have been to see the two heartbeats.

Your sister did a wonderful thing for you.

Hi Egg heads, happy weekend

Rebecca, I knew it!!! (Look back at my post on 30th Aug, I predicted twins)SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy for you. :D :D Glad the hospital are keeping a close eye on that clot, but like you said this means you will get extra scans and more chances to see those beautiful babies in there. Keep well, hope the sickness subsides soon, enjoy the next few months.

Jen B , sorry to see the bc pills haven't worked as they should. Keep the PMA , a little set back that can be easily remedied. Sorry I don't know which type of bc pills they were. IM will sort this out and you'll soon be on you way again. The roller coaster never stops does it? You sound positive, well done and keep up the PMA. Have a great week in Glasgow

Jen, what did you mean by pay IM more again? Do you have to pay for a whole new cycle even though you have frosties? I don't understand  I was under the impression that if you had frosties it would be much cheaper as you didn't need the donor to stim/EC etc.... something sounds fishy here. I know you really don't need the stress of this.....what a pain. Anyway PMA is needed as you go forward to that BFP. This will all pale into insignificance when you get that positive result. Keep the faith my dear, you'll get there! Enjoy your coffee :D

Gill, the grades of the embies are always given to us, but in the long run they never seem to correspond to BFN/BFP. It's a mystery all round. My first ET I had grade 10's and a BFN, second time embies of less quality produced Matthew. Forgive me if I am speaking out of turn but if you are spotting have you informed IM? I know this is common in lots of pregnancies and is usually nothing to worry about. When I had a small bleed (after my BFP) they told me to up my dosage of the pessaries which worked a treat. Would this be the same during your 2ww? Well done for staying away from the evil HPT. I have everything crossed for you and am cheering you on to a BFP!!

Kim, hope you had a great birthday.

Carolyn, hope you manage to get some relaxation time in over the weekend. What a frustrating time you are having with those bloods, hope it all gets sorted soon. Enjoy the manicure and time with family/friends.

Hi to Vicki, Sonia, Big J, Kelly and all lovely ladies here
Hugs to all, dreams do come true
Anna x

PS Matthew and I are fine, have had a very busy week with visits and visitors, looking forward to a friends BBQ this afternoon and a very relaxing Sunday.

 Hi

Wow Rachel thats fab news, you are a lucky girl. I desperately hope all of us can follow you and have great news to. Hope all the drama of the clot will disappear soon.

Image

JenB - Oh Jen, sorry i threw my pill packet out when it finished, will Gill have some info for you? I would email IM as soon as possible and ask them. After talking to my Dr though, i know we can get all the same same meds, including the patches over here so aask IM as soon as.
Did IM say whey you might have spotting at this stage?

Anna - No we dont have to pay for the whole cycle but it costs 790 Euros for defrosting and ET so we were told this is all we had to pay. Anyway now they are saying with will cost 2640 Euros as we have to pay 1850 for a medical assessment. My dh is mad as we dont need an assessment just the embies put back but they say that money is for all the time the dr, nursed, lab etc spend talking about what they are going to do. I find it hard to believe we have to pay 1850 Euros for someone to say 'it didnt work so now we wil do a FET' :x
But there is nothing we can do, they say it was a communication misunderstanding. We have have no choice but to pay---or no embies i suppose

Gill - Not long babe, i hope so much that this is your time and you bring in some wonderful news. Then the rest of us can follow you and Rebecca

Carolyn - Hope your not in work to long today and feeling a ok, you sound a bit fed up just now? (((((((hugs)))))))

Ok cant wait any longer, off for my starbucks
