I ended up doing it at 7pm and we just grabbed some pizza really quick. I've had this horrible headache all week and I didn't feel like going out to dinner. I don't know if it's from the shots, allergies or what. For those of you who have the pen for Gonal-F or Follistim, what happens when you don't have enough left in the pen? Do you just 2 shots? That's what I did. I did one with 75 and a new one with 150. I hope that was ok. I called the nurses line and left a message. I'm sure they'll call me back in the morning. I couldn't remember what I should do. Oh well. Too late now.
Hi ladies ~ Well had my 2nd scan today - 12 Follies on the (R) - Biggest 14 - 18 Follies on the (L) - Biggest 15 - My E2 came back at 2755 and my P4 came back at 2.67. Started Ganirellex tonight and freaking out a little - hoping I haven't already started to surge on my own. They didn't mention my LH - so I don't know if they checked that. (Did I mention my last IUI they missed my O - I called to tell them I was O'ing and they didn't believe me - so I made them do a P4 and it was 8 - I had O'd already). I will post after my U/S in the morning.
Christie - Yes - you would take two shots if you run out of meds. I had to do that during IUI and might need to in the morning. You should take your meds at the same time every night - but you should be OK within a hour or so. I got terrible headaches when I first started stims.
Lisa - Welcome - already ET tomorrow - wow, good luck, I will be thinking about you.
Kelly - 4 is great and all 4 fertilized - that is wonderful. Keep us posted.
Ingrid - I am so sorry your cycle got cancelled. I didn't see that you posted why??? Share in your own time if you feel like it. You have been our rock here - please stay and keep us posted.

Thank you for the warm welcome. 3 more days before I get to start the Lupron. I'm a little nervous about the stimm medication. I've used small doses for the IUI's but my doctor says the med's for IVF are the same just in larger doses. I struggle with cycsts on my ovaries every month and usually experience alot of discomfort. Has anyone had a problem with cysts prior to starting meds?

Hi ladies, I would liek to join this thread if that's ok...i haven't read all the pages...but working on it! A bit about me...this is my second IVF/ICSI attempt and I'm hoping for the best! I am doing the short protocol and so am currently stimming using Gonal F on day 6 of stimming hoping to have EC next friday! Everything seems to be moving along very quickly this time. Next week I have scans monday, weds and friday possible EC...it's murderous trying to organise work!
I read that most of you are slightly ahead of me..so I look forward to reading about all your experiences.
Tilly, they thought I had PCO, but i don't, generally it's quite positive as you prob will respond to medication well, but you are prone to OHSS so drink lots of water..i mean in the region on 2-3litres a day. Good luck!

Donnell, those follies really sound like they are growing well! Hopefully this time they check everything carefully.
I got another call this morning saying I will go in for the ET on Tuesday. They said all four embryos survived and they are going to let them go to day 5 and grow into blastocysts. so far so good!
Archana, I'm still thinkin of you, you are right ahead of me. Hoping for the best.

I have just spent the day lazing about..watched two movies...little miss sunshine and notes on a scandal...the latter was scandalous..both good movies..it's a rare chance that we do something like that..just finshed making an indian, had a laugh watching DH trying to make chappatis (indian bread) Anyway I'm babbling now..lots of baby dust to all!

Nerms - welcome to the thread. We are all stimming and had ET and ER dates at various times and all supporting eachother.
As for me - I had my U/S today. I have about 40 follies. Largest ones were 3 size 18 and 1 size 20 on the right and many more - 20 + and then on the left I have a 20, 19, 18, & 17 and many more - around 20+. The RE nurse said I could be an egg donor. The problem is I have probably hyper-stimulated. My E2 was 3397 and my P4 was 3.18. I just took my Ganirellex shot and I take my HCG shot at 8:30 tonight. Then no more shots and I go for retrieval Monday morning at 8:30. Chances are.....I will have to freeze all of my eggs and do a frozen transfer later. I will keep you all informed though.
Hi Donnell.....wow what a response! So many eggs..i'm sorry to hear though that they may have to postpone the cycle, I wish you all the best for retrieval tomorrow-nothing is for certain yet so keep hoping. I hope you get lots of great embryos, that you get to freeze regardless of whether this cycle proceeds or not.
All the best...just think at least shot free for a while.
Hi everyone -
DH and I are resting up today as yesterday was quite eventful. Both of us had our retrievals (SR and ER) a couple of hours apart. Good and bad news.
Good news, they retreived 25 eggs, 24 were viable and 22 were fertilized. Bad news they could not retrieve any sperm from my DH so we had to go with the backup donor sperm. Dealing with this unfortunate circumstance as my DH obviously wanted to be able to be apart of this process. But we're both determined to create a family - no matter how we get there. Next step is the ET on 9/18 or 9/20 (most likely the latter day as everything looks good for a blastocyst transfer). I'm right there with you Kelly - go day5 embries!!!

hello. my name is melanie. this is our first ivf. i am 28 and dh is 31, we have an almost 11 year old son together (we are high school sweethearts)
we have been ttc for 5 years with no luck. my last day on bcp was 9-13 and i have been on lupron for 7 days now. also taking metformin. i go for my ultrasound and bw on 9-19. and er date is set for 9-30. i have a question if anyone can answer. am i suppose to have af before i do this ultrasound? well gals to be a part of this cycle with all you ladies and wish everyone here the best of luck and lots of baby dust!!!

I went in for my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork on last thurs. and I found out I had a cyst. Lucky for me they did not cancel they asked me to come in the next day and have is aspirated!
So I had my cyst aspirated on Friday and it was not bad at all ... I am still have slight cramps and little bleeding but other than that I am great.
I started my stims sat. night, so far so good!!!!
I did not see any instructions for what time of day to do the stims, so I just do them at night with my lupron. Is that correct?
