I am doing ok Jen. Thanks for asking and sending me hugs. Just chugging along and trying not to think about it all too much as I have such a long way to go.

I just got my dates yesterday so I figured this would be a good time to post. I've gone through 3 IVFs in the past year and each time I did not have any mature eggs. My doctor is completely stumped, so we moved to egg donation. To top it off, my husband had cancer when he was in college so we're using frozen sperm that was collected prior to his treatments (his mom is such a smart lady!).
So I'm starting Lupron shots on Sept. 23rd and it looks like the retrieval will be Oct. 24th with transfer on Oct. 27th. They had to extend it a bit since both the donor and I have some blackout dates. So anxious (and excited) that it's actually going to happen now!! I just need to get through the next 2 months and hope for the best. Best of luck to everyone and I'm glad I can finally join the board!!

Thanks for my scan good luck message. I so hope the lining is 4 or above as we have booked the flights etc. It was 4.4 last time at the same stage gut i'm thinking becasue i already have the medi in my system from the last cycle it will help and all be ok and thickening nicely Will feel better when i know.

Rebeccaj- so please you have confirmation about your twins. x x Sorry to hear abouot the blood clot but ass you say the positive side they will keep an eye on it and you get to see you babies more times than others x x x the sickness will clear about 10- 14 wks with twins. keep thinking that the hormornes that are meaking you sick are mean the babies are strong in there x x keep smiling x x x

hope everyone had a good weekend...i am busy ironing stuff for Glasgow and getting the house ship shape before i leave. Saw bourne ultimatum last night . Good film but a killer on the eyes for us suffering from Optic neuritis and MS. It was filmed like 'This Life' was in the 90's . fast and furious camera angles nad sort of amaturish filming to get the atmosphere. I heard rather than saw most of the film with took the edge of it for me. Sorry if i sound like i am moaning here i am totally down and when i got home i had a bllod flow again and was full of tears. I felt like that was the last straw. my boobs are killing me and feel AF is on top of me..but only showing red then totally brown black blood. Sorry if tmi. After speaking to Claudia on friday i was sure the double meds would have stopped AF in her tracks . It has but as i said i feel so PMT'ed and sor breats as if she is gonna come whatever. as i said to DH like a Ripe fuit about to pop. the blood has stopped today so far but it comes mainly at night so toniht is the D day so to speak. the doc had said it should stop over the weekend so have tonight and then em ail them tomorrow. gonna ask abot approx date donor will be ready to take meds/ and therefore me too/ so Af can come. I am sure it's just hormones that are bringing me down but it also reminds me of 1st cycle of ivf where i bleed through down reg too and cycle was abandoned.
Anyway it's in the hands of the Gods and i just gotta wait and see what happens with muy hormones.
I am away tomorrow morning early and at course tues wed, thursday at family and home friday...oh Dh has just mentioned that colin MaCrae the scottish rally driver has been killed in a helicopter crash..he was same age as me...wow am totally shocked as did follow him for many races in the 90's arround Scotland with davie my ex....anyway ladies much love to ya all and will catch you Friday if not to tired...

Jen1d - Good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hope that you lining is thick and ready to go! We are staying at the Athena - where you all stayed on your 1st trips. Hope that you enjoyed your Starbucks. I love them but have only allowed myself them after my -ves and have cut them out the rest of the time.
Gill - All the luck in the world. You know that I shall be thinking of you over the next few days as I have been every step of the way. Sending you super sticky and very positive vibes
JB - so sorry that AF is giving you a really hard time. So hope that it will not create any issues with tmt for you. Hope that they are very close to finding you a donor and you don't have to endure too much more. Big Hugs. Try to enjoy the next few days. I shall text you babe after the appointment.
Hope that everyone else is having a lovely weekend. At least it has been really sunny in London which has been great.
I am very nervous. I feel sick when I think about it. I feel fine about using donor eggs (now - I think) but just scared they will not want to help us because we are old or because I have so many issues. Or else that even with this, we will still not be successful. Guess I am just scared that we are reaching the end of the road and no clue whether I can have embies implant, let alone carry. I haven't even got to 1st base and a lot more hurdles to clear.
So my means of dealing with it is to keep super busy and act like it is not really happening. So have had a rather full on weekend. Busy day at work tomorrow too so doubt whether I will get here again before we go.
So hope that this is a magic week for Gill.
Will post on Thursday when we are back. We go out on Tuesday and then back late Wednesday.
Rebecca- Hope the blood clot doesn't give you any problems and the morning sickness is not too bad x
