WOW!!!! Congrats Kelly 7 Dexter!!!!!! This is great! Hopefully the rest of us follow suit!

Christin..I am jealous you get to do your blood test so soon! You did a 5 day blast, right?! I am sure with what you were feeling you are going to be a posotive!! My test is on the 22nd, but most likely I will POAS on Friday. Only thing is I have a 1500 booster shot HCG on Sunday. I was thinking I will get a test that is NOT that sensitive...based on what Ghost said, by Saturday I would have about 10-25 (whatever the word is) left in me.....I don't know!

I do know these progest shots are starting to be a real pain! If I were pregnant...not sure I could do them for 10 more weeks....for real!

Good Luck ladies!!!!!! Can't wait to hear who is next!!!!! Hey..you never know..maybe we will blow the statistics away and we will ALL be BFP'S!!!

Yes, I did a 5 day blast. Our clinic does all tests 14 days from hcG (trigger) shot. What are booster shots? How long do you take those?

In terms of these Progesterone shots...this is what I have found to work really well. I no longer hurt after doing this. I lie in my bed on the opposite hip, and make sure the the side that is being jabbed is relaxed on top of the opposite leg. I also rub the spot with will be jabbed for about 2 minutes prior to the injection to try to loosen up that muscle. Oh, and I use numbing cream, but that is only for the benefit of the poke. Then, DH will grab a huge section of skin (aka fat) and squeeze hard, and jab it in QUICK...try to despense it quick and then pull it out QUICK. Then he will rub the injection spot really hard for a couple of seconds, then I take that over. I rub it for a few minutes. I used to lay on a heating pad afterwards too, but I start back to work on Monday, so won't have time for that. I don't ice anything, bc I have heard and read that it actually makes it worse b/c it tightens the muscle you are jabbing.

This morning, we tried doing the shot standing up...big mistake..that hurt. So we are back to me laying on my side. Oh, and DH jabs in the upper outer quandrant, but he is more towards the middle-lower part of that quandrant. When my first nurse did it, she was all the way to the top...very close to my hip. That one hurt bad..for days.

I hope this helps.

Hi ladies,

Firstly to Kelly - congratulations lovely! So glad you did the HPT. I just knew you would get that BFP. Thrilled for you. Maybe twins yeh? Good luck for tomorrow.

Me well... I succumbed to the solitary left over HPT in the packet of 2 that I bought yesterday and tested again this morning with FMU. Didn't tell DH and just wanted a little extra confirmation to get me through this last day before beta tomorrow. The result was exactly the same as last time I fell pregnant...a noticably fainter line that took a bit longer to appear and definitely not a good sign. This is EXACTLY what happened to me last time. It's another chemical pregnancy. Lines don't get fainter, they get darker and this one is def fainter.

Once again, I feel the bloody journey's over for me before it's even began. I just knew it. Still no AF and I'm sure beta will confirm the news tomorrow. Sorry to bring down the "high" on here. It's such a damn shame. I was using a test that detects 25m of HCG in urine and at 15dpo, I should definitely have more than a 'faint' line. It's clearly visible, but half the colour of yesterdays.

I am bummed and panicked now. I wish I could just take a sleeping tablet and wake up in 6 months. I'm over all this stress - "am I or aren't I?" Seems like my eggs just don't have enough battery power to sustain themselves until the placenta takes over.

Praying that I'm wrong ladies, but this is exactly what happened to me last time so I don't have any reason to believe the outcome will be any different.

I'll post my beta results tomorrow...

Despondant Dex

Hello!

Christin..I don't know myself what these "booster" HCG shots actually are for, but what I am doing since day of transer (which was the 10th).

I used Novarel as my HCG trigger...that time I used 2 CC water to mix, and triggered with the 2CC. Then on day of transfer, in the evening..I mixed the other bottle of Novarel HCG I had with 10 cc water....then injected 1.5 ml of the mix. I did this the day of transfer...then three days later (13th) same amount 1.5 ml & then again tomorrow 16th with 1.5 ml then I am done. So basically, I have done three shots, three days apart.
Ghost mentioned, and I read a little that they think it helps the endometrium lining? Not sure...I just do what the doc says! it has been rough doing two shots in each side on those nights though!

Dexter Please don't give up!! you just never know...if you were able to get pregnant naturally, and sustain that for as long as you did, well then you have the power to get atleast that far!!! Also, even though the brands are the same...when I became pregnant I had two tests. The first was posotive, and I took another right after that...and with that I was like..well maybe I am not. The line was barely there! I didn't know what was going on! Turned out I was!! POAS SUCK!!! Let us know how it goes tomorrow!!! We aare all praying/thinking about you!

Hi Everyone

Ive had a few days away, and what changes there are on here! Congrats to Kelly and Dexter just hang on in there keep positive keep that negative energy away, will pray for you for a good result tomorrow.
Although I havent put any posts up I have been reading and it is getting so exciting here I can almost feel the anticipation for you all.

I am having a meeting with my social worker on Tuesday and we are going to foster a 2 year old little girl with disabilities for respite, and either a baby or a toddler full time for a while, whilst we have some thinking time and recovery time and make some decisions on whether to adopt. DH and I have had lots of discussions over the last week and I am taking 6 months off from my other work to have some me time.

Still have up and down days obviously it wont go away overnight!, but I have had some incredible support off some of my friends and I know I will be a mother as we all will it is just not going to be in the way I thought it would be.

Hope you dont mind me writing this post when you are all on your 2ww but I thought it would be ok as you are all so supportive of each other and I wanted to send you all some positive energy from England.

You are not allowed to think like this! I won't have it. You have only a few hours to go to the doctor to get the results, so why put yourself through this torture? Come on, stop thinking about it...go enjoy your day, and you will feel much better. I promise you. Those evil HPTs

Caryoln
I have found that my best sleep is on the sofa these days. Not sure why, but 1) it is easier getting off of the sofa to go to the bathroom as opposed to my tall bed, and 2) I guess bc I don't have the urge to lay all crazy bc my DH isn't on the sofa with me. I seem to lay very contorted when I am in bed with him....lol...he hates it ! Have you been having alot of baby dreams? I can't believe I really haven't. When I was on stims, I had them, but not anymore. My sister had a dream that I had quads..LOL. That would be insane.

Lee
I am glad that you are still with us. We still need your support, just like you still need ours. I think that you are a very strong and special person for taking the path of fostering. You are going to make a great foster mom, and I pray that in this time you and DH can find exactly the direction that God wants you to go, without any hesitation or confusion. :)

hellokitty how are you doing? How are those follies growing? Have you had any scans yet?

Keep of the PMA..EVERYONE, regardless of your place in the cycle.

Hey All

First of all Dex...all the best for your betahcg test tomorrow. I pray for you for the BFP and I know it will come...Lord cannot do this to you again.
Kelly....How is it going?? will be waiting for the figures tomorrow

Christin - I am also tired of lying down on my bed...its more than 36 hrs now...and I am taking some time off to share my feeling with my buddies. I can truly understand your plight...Take care, dear!!

Carolyn - Well done on that list!! I am the last one to test... :o
Carolyn and Lala - Different countries have different laws for IVF. UK being the pioneer in this field has some strict laws.
Here in India, the laws are still in making but the recent law allows the doctor to select 3 best looking embryos to transfer. The frozwn embroys can be used up later, donated or given in for reserach work.
It definitly increases the possibility of triplet preganancy thereby increasing the risk. One of my friends experienced this and her third child had to be terminated for the welfare of other two....she has two sons of 2 years today.

I had 3xgrade1 (4cell) embryos transferred. I was giving such bad response in my last two cycles and was convinced that my eggs were not of good quality. But when the specialist congratulated and told me that the best 3 out 8 embryos have been transferred and 5 have been frozen...you all can imagine the extent of my happiness...a sudden rise in PMA. I was ecstatic as if it was my BFP!!

Did everyone ready that Kelleys dog had puppies??? It is a clear indication that babies are in the air for the rest of us too!

Quick question, but off topic. Do yall know how to do those cute graphics? I can't seem to figure them out?

Hello-

Dexter- Please do not loose hope. You know those HPT are not realiable and you still got two lines which is a positive. Didn't you say that last time you started your period the day before your beta test? You haven't started yet and I think that's only good news! I can feel your BFP test result and know that it's only hours away now (I think you are at least half of a day in front of me). GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!!!!!

I also took the 2nd HPT test this morning, I couldn't just let it sit there in the box. After reading Dexter's post I'm starting to 2nd guess everything and wonder if my 2nd test was lighter or darker than the first. I can't remember!!! I guess this is why they say the HPT are EVIL.

What a rollercoaster ride this whole thing as been.

Lala and Christin- I can't wait to hear your BFP results this week. We've got a great thing on this board!

Sorry I can't reply to the rest of you, my DH is again hurrying me out the door for a family dinner.

Love you all
-Kelly

I had a pretty big scare a few minutes ago. We had our golden retrievers out to play, and I was sitting on a chair, when one of them jump on my lap, but his paw went right into my right-lower abdomen. I am so scared. Do yall think this could cause a BFN? I am scared. It feels tender now, but it also has been feeling tender for the last two days. Do you think that the embies are far enough along to be able to handle a little pressure like that. My dog is 80 lbs., so he isn't small. I am scared. I want to cry.

Christin I honestly think that at this point, the embryo could sustain after something like that.....I mean..I know that what we have gone through is obviously much different than a natural pregnancy, but think of all the things people do then, before they even know.... Funny you had said this, because today......I wasn't thinking and I lifted my son to climb a tree...he is about 40 lbs and I SWEAR that I felt a really bad tug inside...but you know when it went away...when I stopped thinking about it.

At this point, we are all wondering what every little twinge is...if what we are doing at that given moment is OK. Whatever is meant to be...is. God willing, I could lift my son a hundred times, you could roll around on the floor with the pups as much as like.....and we will still have healthy babies.

Best wishes to you over the next couple of days! I can't wait to hear the news of your BFP - long overdue..... :)
