Cocoa - where are you at in NE? I am in Omaha - My RE is at Methodist. It is great to see someone else out here so close. I am right behind you - go in tomorrow for my first u/s to see how many took so I am really excited.

Just like you - I have one child who will be 10 in March and this pregnancy seems completely different. With my DD, I was so sick, lost almost 30 lbs in the first trimester (actually carried around an IV.) This time, no nasau (which worries me), hungry all the time but nothing sounds good. I also have a terrible cold right now - you can take sudafed. Also, with my last pregnany, my ob said I could take unisom, plus it will help with the sick feeling.

A couple things to try when you are so sick...
Go to kohls pharmacy and ask for a bottle of coke syrup - they will give you instructions on how to take it ( you may need a prescription for it)
Drink a lot of water - I felt much better after carrying around an IV for a couple of weeks - I think you body gets over dehydrated and you just feel sick all the time. (I do understand if you aren't able to even keep water down though.)
I have also heard to drink a glass of water with a little bit of orange juice in it when you first get up (helps your blood sugar.)

I tried everything with my first pregnancy and nothing seemed to work, I pretty much had to wait it out - which ended around week 16 for me. I feel really bad for all you ladies that are sick and wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

Good luck to everyone - I will let you all know if I can join the singleton or twin group tomorrow. :D

I went to a party tonight but could still hide it...feels so odd to stand among friends and know I'm pregnant...

We'll start telling family the first weekend of October, which is week 11 for me...I just can't do it sooner, I need to make sure the kids are here to stay for the next month and LONGER.
WHEN ARE YOU TELLING PEOPLE?

Hello everyone! I'm back from my little weeks break. Had a nice relaxing time and just enjoyed the weather and the beach.

Welcome to all the new girlies that got their BFP!

Vlada I hope you are doing ok.

I've been pretty good. Some nausia and was sick once while I was away. Also still getting quite a bit of lower back pain and various cramps, but sounds like that's all normal.

I spoke to the nurse at the clinic before I went away and she said it sounded like my ovaries were probably still calming down from all the drugs, but she was sure I didn't need to worry about OHSS.

One question for everyone... I've had a bit of an upset stomach since yesterday (not MS, it feels food related and my DH has got mild symptoms too - possibly something we ate). Do I need to worry about the embies?

I've got my first US in JUST 2 DAYS!!!!! It's on Wednesday around midday. Praying there is going to be something to see and in the right place this time around!!

Woodcliff,

I am going to look into that caffine thing i would love nothing more than a cup a day........ As fas as the medical ICD-9 codes I know all about that stuff as i am in the medical field ....Some Insurance companys will not approve a c section just because you are having twins I already checked into it ..... One would have to be breach at time of delivery or round about that time or of course any complications they would approve a c-section..... I am going to keep searching for info on the matter and speak to the billing people at my ob office this week I WANT A C-SECTION..... The thought of pushing and one and then having to have a c-section for the second just makes me crazy...If i was quarenteed that I could have them both vaginal I would do it but 8 out of 10 times they need to do a c-section for baby #2.. My thoughts are whats the point so now you have to heal both vaginally and from the c-section and take care of 2 babies all at the same time....... How are you feeliing these days.. i already broke down and bought prego jeans.... the good news is i am starting to feel MUCH BETTER......I can only hope it stays this was and my m/s is gone..........................

SNOW----Welcome aboard......................

Cocoa-----When are we going for lunch....... Are you feeling good as far as your m/s is concernend? let me know when you are ready and we will go........

Croella___ How are you? Have not heard from you in a while. Hope all is well with you....

Love to all,
Lisa

LisaPa thank you for asking, I am doing great!! This might be a reason that I don't write too much (don't want to jinx it and then all of you girls have some trouble I feel bad bragging about how good I feel)...I didn't have m/s and no barfing; cramps are very rare and mostly happened in bed when I change positions. I do eat too much and I have to start dealing with that soon!! A week ago we switched to my regular OBGYN and I will not have another u/s until my 18th or 20th week. In a way it is OK. I am getting curious though :D

I am not writing too often but I read your posts every day and am thinking about you guys :D

hi ladies,

I have just had 48 hours of hell. I started bleeding on saturday - lightly at first but by the middle of the night is was like a murder scene (sorry TMI), tummy cramps were excruitiating. I was certain I lost teh babies. The bleeding stopped yesterday morning but I wasn't able to go to the clinic until today. This morning I felt weak and one minute was in the shower the next in a heap on the bathroom floor - had fainted and landed hard on my side :( ..... anyway, somehow the babies managed to hang on in there throughout the whole ordeal and their little hearts were still beating strong (120/138). This is the scariest time of my life, I honestly can't wait to get to 12 weeks so the nausea wears off and the beanies are over the danger period. I had no idea it will be so tough.

Rebecca - so sorry to hear about your fall and the bleeding. I will say a prayer for you.

Everyone looking for maternity clothes - I know it has been awhile, but JcPenny's had the best clothes at a reasonable price for maternity clothes. I will caveat that with - it was 10 years ago. :)

I had my first u/s today - we saw a single heartbeat. RE was not able to get me a reading yet (I think it is too early - I should only be at 5 weeks today) My beta was 17,727 though and I am only 29dpo so that looks pretty strong. My progesterone was 56 - I was hoping RE would say I didn't need to take the PIO shots anymore, but no such luck.

Do my numbers look high for a single at 5 weeks? I do not understand the numbers at all. Everywhere I read, normal progesterone is 9-49 for the first 12 weeks. Mine was 49 twelve days after transfer. Will a high progesterone level hurt the baby? I have looked out on the betaboards, but they don't really explain what each of the numbers mean.

Anyway, I will be praying for health for all you new mommies.
