Just like you - I have one child who will be 10 in March and this pregnancy seems completely different. With my DD, I was so sick, lost almost 30 lbs in the first trimester (actually carried around an IV.) This time, no nasau (which worries me), hungry all the time but nothing sounds good. I also have a terrible cold right now - you can take sudafed. Also, with my last pregnany, my ob said I could take unisom, plus it will help with the sick feeling.
A couple things to try when you are so sick...
Go to kohls pharmacy and ask for a bottle of coke syrup - they will give you instructions on how to take it ( you may need a prescription for it)
Drink a lot of water - I felt much better after carrying around an IV for a couple of weeks - I think you body gets over dehydrated and you just feel sick all the time. (I do understand if you aren't able to even keep water down though.)
I have also heard to drink a glass of water with a little bit of orange juice in it when you first get up (helps your blood sugar.)
I tried everything with my first pregnancy and nothing seemed to work, I pretty much had to wait it out - which ended around week 16 for me. I feel really bad for all you ladies that are sick and wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
Good luck to everyone - I will let you all know if I can join the singleton or twin group tomorrow.
