I went in for my baseline ultrasound and bloodwork on last thurs. and I found out I had a cyst. Lucky for me they did not cancel they asked me to come in the next day and have is aspirated!

So I had my cyst aspirated on Friday and it was not bad at all ... I am still have slight cramps and little bleeding but other than that I am great.

I started my stims sat. night, so far so good!!!!

I did not see any instructions for what time of day to do the stims, so I just do them at night with my lupron. Is that correct?

Happy Monday Morning!

Post by albany07 »

Hello girls and new girls!!!!! So glad to see this thriving little thread getting bigger everyday... just like those follies and embies!!! Yes, we are at that stage already or almost! Hard to conceive (no pun intended)! That this can all happen so quickly... helps the hope grow, you know?

I hope I have not missed anyone's name or profile. I deleted a couple we have not heard from, but more than happy to add anyone back to the list...

Congrats girls on all those follies! Donnell and Lisa (you could be the next Dugger family) Do you watch discovery health channel? I think they have 17 kids!

Speaking of Discovery Health, there is a show on about moms delivering from the IVF process! I cried during the whole show - Trips and Quads - so be carefull Kelly! Congrats to you too!!!!

Girls - thanks for being there, support and kind words. I didn't want to talk about what happen b/c this is about all of you during the IVF process and happy thoughts :) Let's leave this a happy board for now.... The good news is that I can start again at the mid-end of October! Yay!!!!

I have a meeting and will be checking in later! Happy follie thoughts to all!!!!!!

welcome Melanie!

Kim , happy anniversary! 13 years , wow , congrats :D
sorry about the headaches, I guess I was lucky I never had that, these pills I'm on now (medrol and doxycycline) did make me kind of sick the day after ER though, either that or is was because of the ER.

Does anyone know if it's common for doctors offices to not give out much information...I kept wondering how everyone knows so many details about their embroys (such as 4 cell, 8 cell). When they call me they only tell me the basics, the girl just says this is all they tell her. I was hoping they would give details about the embryos...oh well hopefully they will tell me tomorrow.

2nd and final attempt

Post by kd »

Hello all:
Just dropping in. We are in the midst of our 2nd and final IVF attempt.
I just had my ER yesterday. They retrieved 7 eggs, all were ICSI'd and 3 fertilized normally. Waiting for the call tomorrow that everything is good and will plan on ET on Wednesday. You know I get worked up over the low numbers, but I keep telling myself that it only takes one and if it was meant to happen it will. So rather than being pessimistic that there weren't 20 eggs I am trying to look at it as there could have been zero.

Good luck to all!!

Back Again...

Post by albany07 »

Kim - Happy Anniversary!!!!!! This may be a lucky cycle!!!! I was thinking the other day.... as for my husband and I, we met on Dec. 2, got married on Dec. 2nd and may be BFP on Dec. 2nd our anniversary... now that the cycle has been moved. May be that, that day is our lucky day! I hope your BFP comes this 13th anniversary month and year! This may be your lucky anniversary too!
I had terrible headaches during Lupron. Especially if you get into a crying spell - so DONT DO IT!!! I am baseline "very emotional" and Lupron did not help - the crying made it worse!

For those girls who are picking out names and babies r us registries... you go girls! You never know, if we end up having multiples - we will be one step ahead of the game knowing which products are out there and what we want! It's just a part of being organized and having more time for more important stuff-like reading "how to be a good mommy and daddy" books! I have placed them in each one of our bathrooms already! DH picks up "Your Baby in the 1st Year" everytime he is there for an extended stay!!!

Good afternoon ladies.

I went in for bw this morning and they called and told me to up my Gonal-F to 300 from 225. I guess my estradiol was a little lower than they want it to be. I go on Wed. for bw/us. I'm praying my #'s are where they should be by then.

I had headaches all last week. They have seemed to stopped for now. At least, they aren't as bad as last week. My allergies are going crazy and my asthma is really bad. I don't remember it ever being this bad. The nurse said it isn't from the meds, but I swear it got worse once I started the Gonal-F. Who knows?

I do my Lupron in the morning and my stims at night. I'm not sure if every clinic is different. I believe I'm supposed to do the progesterone shots at night the day after the ER.

This looks like a fun thread, and being that this is my first round of IVF, I could use the support!! I'll be starting Lupron on Sunday the 23rd..never taken that before so hoping it won't make me crazy, haha. Good luck to you all!!

Had Retrieval today!

Post by baby_or_bust »

Hi everyone~ ER went well. They continue to tell me to consider egg donation. The retrieved 46 eggs. I am miserable. Didn't realize I would be this sore but they said it was because of the number of eggs.

So....I guess I need to worry about quality, however they were pretty reassuring - sd I had the ovary function of a healthy 20 yr old.

Tomorrow will tell when the embriologist calls.... pray for me ladies that I have some good ones in the bunch - cause now I am nervous. As for transfer -they said it all depends on how I feel over the next couple of days. I am still supposed to start progesterone shots tomorrow. I will post as soon as I know.

For everyone else - I hope you are all taking care!

I have a question for anyone who has done the Gonal-F pen. The box says 450 IU. If I was supposed to be taking 225, wouldn't that mean that I should have been getting 2 shots per pen? What's weird is that there was always 75 left in each pen. Now, I'm wondering if I was giving myself enough of the meds. They are increasing me to 300, which is 75 more. Hmmm. It makes me wonder. I'm going to call tomorrow and ask, but I thought maybe one of you might have the answer.

Thanks,
Christie

Christie~ They always over fill the pens. I was on 300 of Follistim and I would use it twice and there would always be some left over. In fact - when they decreased my Follistim towards the end - I used the left over medicine in each vial. Hope that helps.

Well...back to bed ladies....

Hi Donnell.

That helps a lot. I thought I was going crazy. Well, we'll see if going up to 300 helps my #'s. I wonder if I'll be on the stims longer now. I'll just have to wait and see.

Hugs!

Post by albany07 »

Donnell - Big hugs to you doll! That was hard work! Way to go! Good job on producing all those follies! Now you have a lot of thinking ahead of you - please share your thoughts if you feel comfortable... What does one do with all those eggs? Do you fertilize them all? Do you freeze them? I know before we did IVF, our doctor had us sign some papers stating what our wishes are if we no longer want the eggs - but I never thought harvesting so many was possible. I hope you are ok, and virtual hugs and care to you!

Hoping for a speedy recovery and readiness to accept those big beautiful Eggiebabes! When is the special day if you do decide to do the transfer this month?

Lacy - I am sooooo happy for you and glad you can proceed! BFP soon girlie!

Christie - I bet the meds are causing the asthma flare ups! Remember Lupron and my symptoms on the first day? The RN stated she had never heard of such a thing - but it was too instantaneous, within minutes of injection - I started wheezing! I hope you have your fast acting beta2 inhaler!!!! :) It resolves quite quickly. If it is allergies, you may want to change your allergy pill - I had to this year.

Hope everyone is great! Hugs, Love and sticky baby dust all around!!!!

Donnell - I'm right there with you after the ER, more painful than i expected. Went back to work today and it sure was awkward getting around. DH got to stay at home today but given what he went through i can't complain! Waiting to hear when the ET will be 9/18 or 9/20 but the latter seems more probable.

Anyone else working full time during this process? If so, how and when do you plan to share the news with your boss? I expected the pregnancy to effect my abilities but later along like the 3rd trimester. I'm being told that i cannot or at least should not fly in the first trimester and that's throwing a wrench into my schedule. Oh well babies come first just wondering how everyone is handling it.
