Hello Everyone

Haven't posted for a while so thought it was time for an update now that I have some news ............

I'm now 24 weeks with twins and we had a scan yesterday at which we found out that we're having a little boy and a little girl - we were so excited and pleased with the news, it was just what we wanted (although any combination would have been brilliant). They're both good sizes currently weighing 574g and 609g (just over 1lb each apparently). Yesterday 'lefty' the boy, had spun round to the breech position and was sitting on 'righty's' girls head, she had her hands on her head trying to push him off - it was bizarre to watch on the monitor. 'lefty' was really obviously a boy, we could see his bit for ourselves and hubby was most impressed with the size (typical man thing me thinks).

In 4 weeks I have to go back for a glucose tolerance test as I have polysystic ovaries (among other things) which apprently increase the chances of gestational diabetes I think he said.

Ummm what else - oh bump is getting big now, am measuring about 31 weeks at the moment so am about 7 weeks ahead size wise. Am feeling really well apart from being knackered most of the time and haven't suffered at all with swollen feet or anything so am pleased.

I finish work in 3 weeks times when I'll be 27 weeks and am really looking forward to that.

Can't think of any other news at the moment, but might have additions to add on later - memory is a blank and head like a sieve at the moment heheheh

Hope you're all ok and growing well.

Love Sarah x
Congratulations Sarah on your news!

I can definitely recommend having a boy and a girl, especially at the moment when they're being gorgeous and very caring with each other. With me it was the other way round - my daughter was always squashing my son into a tiny little space.

Enjoy your last 3 weeks at work!!!!! Make sure that you keep resting as much as possible.

Jules

I am so pleased for you. I am 4 weeks behind you but as am a singleton not as advanced in the bumps stakes!!!
Off for scan monday so will post then - hope all ok.
Take special care and thanks for the update
Love
Tracey
xxx

Sarah

Great to hear that your little girl and boy are doing well. You must be over the moon! Sounds like your bump is growing nicely - you must feel wonderful!

I've got to go to the doctors next week for a glucose tolerance test. Could do without diabetes but, as you say, we're at higher risk 'coz of twinnies.

Take care of you and your little ones.

LOL Helen xx

Sarah

So chuffed to read your update. I come on to be nosey now and again and that is definitely good news from you.

I was laughing about the boy sitting on the girls head (I know I'm warped). It is so nice to have one of each.

Take care of yourself and look forward to hearing more news from you.

Lisa(Loonpants)
xx
Hi Sarah

Glad everything's going well for you and twins and lovely that your having a boy & a girl (not that it really matters as you say!).

Take care,

Luv Rachel X
Sarah,

Brilliant news, and like Jules I too am a little biased in saying a boy/girl does make a great combination!!! They sound really good sizes and enjoy the fact you feel so well. At least it makes the name choices a bit easier!!! I got to pick the boys name and my husband helped with the girls name (he helped me choose the name I wanted!!)

Rest and relax...and once again brilliant news

Nicky
