Hey guys. I haven't had time to read the last few days yet, but wanted to let you know that yes, I did have the baby! Yeah! Her name is Lucy :D She was born on September 14th at 5:26 pm. I started having contractions (strong ones anyway) at 2:30 am and went into the hospital at 5:00 am. My doctor is the best in the whole freakin' world. She came in on her day off at 6:00 am and broke my water for me--more importantly, she made the mean nurse get me my epidural. So, the epidural was put in around 6:30 am. Around 2:00 pm I was finally far enough that I could start pushing. I pushed until about 4:45pm when it became apparent that it wasn't working. She wasn't moving down far enough to even use forceps on. It turned out she was stuck on my pelvic bone, plus she was facing up instead of down (not breech, just looking up).

So.....at 5:00 I went in for a C-section. It was really scary, but it all happened so fast.

She's beautiful. She weighed 6 lbs 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

I'm home now, which is great. Will post more later, just have to take a nap now.

I just wanted to let you know how much I thought about all of you this weekend. I so want this to happen for all of you too............

Congratulations Meg!

Lucy is such a cute name. I wish we could all come and bring you dinners to help out - I can order you a pizza if you want. Just need the location of your nearest Round Table or other pizza joint!

Did anyone win?? I must look back and find out.

Congratulations Mego and DH, I knew it! Amy, let me know what you find when you scroll back over the sweeps. I'm pretty sure that I picked September 14, not to be cocky or anything.

I've also been wondering how you went, spent the weekend without internet and then finally chucked a sickie yesterday...

I agree that Lucy is a great name for the first Sisterhood baby. I really like it.

Keep us posted as to how Lucy is doing.

Amy, can you order me a pizza please, I think that is a perfect mid-morning snack.

I will come back and chat a bit later, have to dash off to the midwife now...

It's official - Fee is our winner!!

Congratulations Fee - you just showed us why you are our HRH...

On page 115 Fee said she was never more certain of anything in her entire life - and apparently she was right.
I will send the pizza as your prize.

Now - since your skills at predicting are so honed, tell me if I should waste any more time and money on IVF ...

Woohoo! Mego is not longer a prego!!! Congrats on Lucy's arrival. Does she know yet that she has lots of Sisterhood Aunties???? Bummer on the C-section stress, but so relieved to hear she is home and all is well. I imagine you are one sleep-deprived mama at this point.

Fee: Well done. Don't know why I ever doubted your crystal ball reading skills. Like Amy, I've got some other questions for you to answer... Hope midwife appt went well.

Vicky: it is good to read you again. And glad to hear you are "back on the horse" as it were.

As for me, E2 level yest was great. MUCH better than last month. In fact, it was SOOO high, that as of this morning I am starting to doubt that I heard her right  . Anyway, back to clinic for US and BW in AM, so I will check to see if I was just dreaming yesterday

All this great news in one day! Sassy congrats on the E2 levels. That has got to make a girl proud. Maybe you should wear a sticker like my parents do when they get their cholesterol levels taken to advertise their great numbers.

Vicky - So glad to hear from you. I am feeling the need to cycle with all these good vibes!

So Fee, should I cycle or wait? Read a chocolate bar today and tell me what it says.

Yes it's Guru Fee here. Well I've just eaten a bread roll and will now proceed to do a reading from the crumbs that I've dropped on my gut....

Amy, sell the house and get cashed up, you will continue to flog the IVF horse, but not for much longer. You will be having your much deserved success shortly so get on with it.

Sassy, ask away, I am brimming with confidence that I am a "seer" I may need to buy myself a caravan and hit the road, peddling my magic in the greater surrounds of Australia. A preliminary predition is that this cycle is going to be a ripper for you.

Vicky, glad to have you back. I remember going cold turkey off these boards to try to relax (and lasting all of about three days)...Happy to see that you are on the cusp of cycling again, man this is excitement plus.

Robbo, don't worry I won't be going anywhere after Nogs is born...I like this place too much. Besides it would appear that my powers of prediction are a valuable commodity to the sisters.

Fee the Magnificent

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Here I am in Toronto.

Meggo - so so so happy for you! Wonderful news about little Lucy. Big congrats m'dear.

Oh I am having fun. Visited the National Parks in Utah, went on an absolute SHOPPING FRENZY in New York (and fitted in a few cocktails) and now I am doing lots of meetings in Toronto.

I missed the Sistahood but glad to read quickly that everyone is doing well. I'll be back on the IVF train in Oct when I get back .

Amy - I saw Flight of the Conchords on a Delta - hilarious - " Part-time model" was the best song - both the boys had dated the same girl!

Fee - hope you are doing well - looking forward to welcoming sistahood baby No.2. Congratulations on you fortune teller talents - I too would like to know what the next 12 months holds for me - should I shop for new suits or visit Gap Maternity?

Hi to Sassy, Vicky, Robbo, Jenn and all the othe sistas.

Angie: good to read you again. Glad to hear you had a good time in the ol' US of A, and that you will be back on the IVF horse come next month. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Fee the Magnificent: Oh, my. You must have one hell of a crystal ball down there, girl. This cycle does indeed appear to be a "ripper". I'm all for the van... but you need a vintage volkswagen with curtains and fringe. I will come down and paint some flowers on the side. A few scarfs for you head and you willl be good to go

Flight of the Conchords: I was in T.arget today buying a DVD for my niece when I ran across their CD. It was only $4. Now, after listening to you all talk about the songs... how could I pass it up? Will be listening on my way home from work today. Still wanting to see the show...

Jenn: I think you said your MD appt was tomorrow? I hope all goes well and I am looking forward to hearing about it.

Ok, as for the "ripper" cycle... I have a bumper crop growing in the ovaries. 20 follicles developing (18 between 10 and 13 mm) and 6 antrals that may still yet decide to enter the game. Ooooo, and let me tell you, I'm feeling it. Lab work is fab. Wow. What a difference a month makes  Next US/BW on Friday.

Bubba’s getting a new wife, ladies----

So around the Sassy household… when it rains it pours. And apparently when the sun shines, it REALLY shines. Not only did I get fantastic news in regards to my cycle today, but The ******* was arrested two hours ago (!!!!!)

Yep, FAB, no? Apparently he has been a bad, bad boy (no sh*t, sherlock!). He has been into other illegal activities, and per report was picked up by the Narcotics Squad. In “his” (read: “our”) E.scalade. Right on. The detective who was assigned to us and spoke to Mr. Sassy yesterday called us from the scene. Apparently, The ******* was sitting next to him in handcuffs at the time. They are in the process of getting a search warrant to go through his computer and other things. I can’t imagine what documents they will find (I would LOVE to be a fly on a wall for that search). Twelve hours earlier and The ******* could have shared a cell with OJ!

Mr. Sassy and I are going out to eat a celebratory dinner.

Enjoy the orange jumpsuit, ******* Boy.

The sun is SHINING on us ladies. We need to rejoice in these times. Sassy is having an amazing cycle. Angie is traveling the globe and detoxing from the NY cocktails in time to cycle - Vicky is on her way to a BFP, Lucy is here, Fee is the next Sylvia Browne, I just won BUNCO tonight, and the BB (******* Boy) is on ice!! I feel unstoppable right now.

CONGRATULATIONS SASSY!!! I can't wait to hear the details of his arrest reports....

What are we going to do with the Caddie?? Could you put the Sisterhood logo on the back with some spinners?

Yesss, I like the idea of a sisterhood car. We need some sort of flash transport to get us to places that we need to be e.g kicking down punter's doors etc. And what a fantastic history the car has already...

The sun is indeed shining on the Sisters.

I've managed to sprinkle some more crumbs on my gut and have this to say after reading them...

Angie, buy normal clothes, the tighter and more expensive the better. I think you will be guaranteed a BFP if you spend up big on a new wardrobe which you will not be able to wear in a few months time...Your trip sounds awesome, glad to hear you are having a good time and that you will be cycling again in October. Yeah!

Sassy, Bubba's going to be very happy. Is BIL a Pretty Boy? I think he will be paying for his crimes in more ways than one....and wowsers your cycle, I can't believe how much things can change in a month. Really makes you realise that this IVF thing is worth flogging repeatedly until it works....

Well I must be off now, have been in court all day. The opposing side called me nasty piece of work. A proud day for me indeed...
