Lisa, thx for you words of wisdom! You are great, and huney we'll meet soon, Im sure.......Right now we have a plan, sort of ish, and i feel content, we'll find our way one day somehow I am sure.... We both want it, but need to settle ourselves first.....so taking time out for this year certainly and most certainly til next Sept..... maybe even til 2009, seems like ages away. It's not really.... I am healing!

Our Hall is 'latte' walls, beige carpet.... Our Lounge is choc/cream and so is our bedroom, our 2nd bedroom is cream and navy blue, and the 3rd bedroom is nothing, havent touched it at all, as waiting to be in Pregnancy, cureently its pink but in bad need of something, full of chips and its yuk, i just do my ironing in there at the mo! One day it might be a nursey??? Dont know???

It's taking time out, for at least til 2009, and at the earliest Sept 08. We are trying to fulfil our other dream, and that is to start our own business, have already spoken to Finacial advisor and now trying to put a business plan together.....Keeps our minds off the baby thing anyway!!! So once we are sorted with that, parhaps will try again with ivf or adopt, depends on our feeling after 12-18mths away, so thats why i say sort of plan, as feeling change and situations change so what we think now could be do different by 08/09.............

Feeling tired tonight, hectic at work, covering my boss this week, its been stressy!!!

Stew (dh) also watching the footie (I've just heard him shout obscenities at the TV ) and I've just been on line ordering a blind for our patio door which leads into the conservatory. Currently it only has curtains up and the dining room chairs get faded with the sun so I thought I'm not gonna let that happen this time since I've just re dyed them!

Anyway .. onto my lovely phoenix friends

Jen - glad the acu helped and neck/head is getting better and your new man is also getting better with help of acu. Wow your week next week sounds tiring honey. Make sure you take it easy at every opportunity. Will it be quite a good course tho? Whenever I go on these sort of things for work its always great catching up with old colleagues from around Scotland and finding out how they're doing & what they're up to. And I would LOVE to meet up with you when your next down in Glasgow. Mc Arthur Glen sounds like a good plan to me. We could even put in a bit of Christmas shopping there if we can organise something this side of the year. If its next year tho, the big plus for then is that I may, just maybe, be a bit more organised and in a pattern with the little one so either is good with me hun. I will look forward to that . Nicki - Its so good to hear you sounding more like your usual self. Your business plan and ambition is getting underway and that's so good. As well as a big boost to your confidence (cos our confidence does get knocked with all of this huh?) it will make you feel so fantastic, realising a dream. I know this is on a smaller scale but when I undertook the aerobics course I hd always wanted to do, then started teaching classes, I felt wonderful . I felt proud that I'd achieved something I'd always wanted to do. This will make you feel fantastic honey, good on you. Have you told family? And yes sorry meant to say, you will be on my text list of friends to contact when baby arrives, so don't worry. Would you mind posting for me on here when it happens and telling everyone too? I'm really tired tonight so will catch up with everyone else next post if that's ok. Have been getting AF type pains and loads of Braxton Hicks lately. Keep thinking its the real thing!! Have hired a TENS machine for early labour (put electrodes on your back which sends elecrical impulsed from uterus to brain to disrupt pain signals & also helps release endorphins) which arrived today so I'm all set if anything does happen! Keep scaring dh by telling him that at 37 wks baby is no longer considered premature if delivered now. Think he is scared that baby may come early tee hee!

Well I'm off to watch Heroes - whenever its on - has anyone seen it? I think its great

gosh your nesting instinct must be costing you an arm and a leg ....LOL but so what eh!!!! Good to get evertything sorted in the house now as all money will be spent on princess from now on!!!!!! Bet you get tons and tons of Christmas pressies for her and have to move house cos of no space in her room Haha!!!!

as for heroes we managed to catch the first 2 then have missed out...i did enjoy it but such is live we alwyas start to watch something them neighbours call or the phone rings!!!!

I am having a fat moment the bc pills have put 6lbs on me and i have a spare tyre above my waist..feeling fat and forty aint good!!!! going to buy a big baggy jumper to hide in when i am in glasgow.yes it will be great to catch up with old friends from work and other places. always meet new people too so looking forward to it. Will prob catch you and princess next year as i will have morning sickness in dec (lots of love and laughs at that...wouldn't that be brill if i couldn't meet you cause i was so ill ). both my last 2 preg i was badly morning sick from 6wks on wards... so presume the same will happen .
so hope all this will work this time ...fingers crossed x x x

Hi Girls

Well Lisa it sounds like you are nesting good and proper hun. A sure sign that your princess is on her way, so i am told! DH may be right.....you may be a little early!!

Sounds like we all have good taste in decor...my lounge, diningroom and stairs (open plan) are choc brown bottom, cream top with beige carpet with the rest of the house being neutral.

As for me, baby getting more active during day but is mostly active when feet up after tea. Currently sat on my bladder and kicking down!

Jen - Glad things getting sorted with moto. Idiots should be damn well locked up!! Hope you aren't too tired with the strains of your busy week. Put your feet up when you can! Take Care.

Kate - Hows you? Hope feeling ok and praying AF will arrive so you avoid the D&C.

Nikki - Glad you sound more positive. hope you are ok. Good luck with business plans. Hope you manage to get a good sleep. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I wasn't in the booze queue in the kitchen but firmly parked next to the kettle!! Think your hol in Scotland will do you go. Know you have reservations but enjoy it.

I am ok. Sorting a friend problem out (think I may be being touchy at the mo). there used to be 6 of us that went out and holidayed as couples for years (known the girlies 20 odd years) but we don't see them anymore socially. When we do speak it is obvious they spend most weekends together and have booked to go away and didn't ask us!! (It has been ongoing for a couple of years now). So I decided the last thing I want is for them to say "we never shee Julie now she has had the baby" so I have decided to speak to them and let them know I feel left out (Jealous is the word and I am big enough to admit it). I do actually put it down to the childless thing but that aint no reason in my book.

ALSO!!!! I was enraged by an article I read on a letters page. A man basically saying that there should be no government funding for IVF as it is "a waste of money" and "instead of spending money on foster families all the childless couples who crave for a child should foster/adopt to save wasting taxpayers money on foster homes and IVF". T*s*er. It prompted me to respond (which was very forthright - blame it on the hormones!). I basically said that whilst i considered myself fortunate that I do live in an area where I received funding myself and DH have both worked since leaving school in 1988 and have more than contributed into the system being taxpayers blah blah. Let you know if it is printed! xxxxxxxxxx

Adam and i are out tonight for a meal. he has a work niht out friday and we are doing the house all weekend tidying clearing out study building beds ( got the bed frame but still awaiting memory foam king size mattress...oh the joys ). I also ordered a steam cleaner as getting and keeping the floors clean with MUCKY PAWS Broc is a nightmare...hope it helps keep the cream carpets clean Will let you know how it cleans tiles and things too. really boufgt it for the motot as there are some bits that are hard to reach and need help with to clean. I can't use bleach as the bathroom is some sort of composite and no bleach allowed, so hope it warrants the oney spent on it. will see . anyone else gt a steamer for cleaning????

Can't wait until tomorrow then can chill...i am seeing the gp about scan ( again)....I have also had mega cramps to day ( day 21) and a slight show ( not enough to wrrant an email to IM) but enough to worry about. took my BC pill an hour early tonight so hope that helps. Anyway off to make the dinner now can' t be Arsed..sorry to be crue here but it somes up my mood at the mo!!!! Tired x x will get an early night tho...catch ya all later

Hi all

sorry this is a low post i have been really down...My Gp wass off sick on friday so have to wait until next frid to see her about a scan. I started to spot brown then red blood friday and after e mailing IM and hearing nothing...i took the plange and called them. I have been put on double bc pills at the mo the flow has stopped but at night i have agoonizingly sore boobs and cramps as wewll as a red show. They said it should stop over the weekend so tonight is D day Hope that AF stays away...My 1st ivf was cancelled due to breakthrough bleeding and i hope it isn't the case this time...

Unfortunantly i am in Glasgow tomorrow until friday so will be off line until then. ( unless i have time to nab my neices computer and post) Trying desperatly to keep the Faith but i feel totally PMT'ed and ready to start AF any minute!!! Hope the meds work taking them again tonight at 8pm x x

Julie - how did you get on with speaking to your friend?? You're quite right to say what you feel. Hopefully they will realise that beig secretive ain't gonna help. Honesty is always the best policy. And good on you about the letter. Yeah it really frustrates the livin day lights out of me and dh too that you can't always get funding for IVF etc if you need it when you pay your taxes like everyone else! Let us know how you get on xx

Well I've started feeling sick again, just like in first tri Not actually sick just nauseous. It started Friday and apart from Saturday, have felt it everyday. Feel rough like I've got a hangover but without the vino the nite before!! Also I'm pretty sure the bump has dropped Feel as if baby is sitting on my knees most of the time and can't bend forward much at all now LOL! Going to midwife on Wednesday so really hoping she will tell me baby's head is engaged then at least I'll feel as if D day (delivery day) is getting nearer.

Jen in answer to decorating question. We have been really careful and worked on a budget with every room so hasn't cost us that much considering what we've done. Dh did all the painting by himself and used industrial sized pots of cream paint that he could use in every room. Also bought tile paint for bathroom rather than new tiles and have recycled picture frames with new prints wherever possible ot went to au natural. Blinds for livingroom were bought in sale on line and new sofas were in sale too with interest free credit so feel quite chuffed that we been careful but house still looks good. Even in the princess's room, we used cream curtains we already had and just added pink tie backs. Going to have an easy day today, friend popping in later and will try get some fresh air to keep the nausea at bay.

Checking in and say hi, hope things are well with everyone. We had my brother-in-law and nephew visiting for the football game between Arizona and Seattle, had a good time. Wish weather was a little cooler.

Jen, I'm glad your AF didn't arrive. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Nicki, how are you doing? Starting a new business must be very exciting. Best of luck to you! I have always dreamed of having my own business..

Kate, did you have to do a D&C? Try not to stress over this, I have done 4 D&Cs, one or two after each miscarriage, and it wasn't that painful as I thought would be. It's supposed to not affect your future pregnancies. According to my doctor, D&C is preferred by a lot of clinics here as they can collect sample and analyze the cause.

Julie, I'm glad you wrote back about the IVF funding. I was just thinking the other day that there should be a lot of research into fertility treatment. After all, the chance of having a baby is part of leading a healthy life. Not only shoud infertility be studied and treated, all insurance should cover as well. It is NOT a luxury but a necessity.

Hi to everyone else! Saw some of you are watching Heroes, I started watching the first season recently, it's a great show. Kind of like Lost, where seemingly unrelated people eventually come together.

Have a good week! I'll keep you posted on our IUI cycle. I did finish my AF after IVF BFN, and supposed to call the doctor's after AF arrives.

Jen, i know u wont see this til Fri/sat when u return from glasgow, how did the steamer go?? Did u erase tthe muddy paws? also fab news about the bleed that stopped must have been those double Bc's!!! so what now? Will u come off those eventually and have a AF and then do u start counting days to ET??? will ET then be 17 days after? Will u have day 2,3,4,5 transfer??

Morning girls,

Just a quick post from me as I am feeling really rough! AF did arrive over the weekend so I cancelled the GP appointment. However, I have never felt period pains like it, to the point where I am considering going home because its that bad (I dread to think what I will be like in labour!!!! ).

So, it looks like no D & C for me -yah! Now I just wish she would hurry up and disappear ( there is no pleasing some people is there!).

Will catch up with personals later - Jen glad to hear AF didn't show and everything is still on track!

Kate, This isnt Af though is it?? It's the pregnancy leaving isnt it? so no wonder you are in pain, think if i was you honey i would still see Dr and just check everything is ok......Hugs to you and hope the bleed soon stops and u can get on with it........

I finally called clinic and spoke to the embryolist, about sperm and our 2 samples left and we are having to let them perish......
Which did make me cry today.........
They are valid to be used til 11th oct after that time no more.....
We spoke about trying again, in 08 and well, parhaps we will, chatted with mark 2night too, and hes up for trying again but not til next year... so think we have a sort of plan now, so will try to forget it for now and get on with life put ttc at the bottom of our priorites with review in 08........
Still had ateary day, but i guess i will have days still......

Hi Girls

I have been soooo poorly - I had a water infection from last Thursday and was prescribed antibiotics by the Dr. Didn't sleep for 3 nights and gradually got worse and worse. i couldn't eat - was sick and temp 39, shivering like a neumatic drill. I was so worried about Junior. Midwifve admitted me to hospital but thankfully only had to stay for the day and they sent me home. They put my in a delivery room on the delivery suite because they had no room on the ward - OH MY GOD!!!!! Some women were screaming like banshees (Sorry Lisa!!) I am much better now and Junior is kicking like a good un. Turns out I was having adverse reaction to my antibiotics!!!! Without them for a day and I feel like a new woman!! They have put me on new ones now.

As for friend situ I basically told her how I felt and she was gutted and really sorry and yes I think she could see my point of view. I am not sure things will change but don't mind. Feel tons better letting her know how I felt (only spoke to one of them but news has travelled!). Anyway, enough of me....

Lisa - Sounds like you done good at home with all your decor and stuff. How do you feel today? My sis-in-law was saying to me last night that you do go back to the beginning at the end of pregnancy so the signs she is on her way are good! What did your midwife say?

Nikki - Hows you? I am so pleased you sound on the up generally and long may it continue. Sorry to hear about the sperm having to perish but 2008 will be here really soon and you can start focusing on your next steps. Must be really hard for you but the break may do the trick kiddo x As for the paper thing it was in The Metro (last Wednesday I think). Know it gets circulated far and wide but not sure how far.....with being ill i don't know if my reply was printed!!!

Jen - PMA PMA PMA honey - Hope AF has stayed at bay and (.)(.)'s are better x Have a fab time at Glasgow - let us know how you get on. Is the moto repaired yet? How was the steamer? Effective? Hope so. I don't have one but do have carpets steam cleane by a co occassionally. Some times better than others

Kate - Glad AF came!!!! Sorry she is agonising and hope it is improving for you.
