Saw one sac really clearly straight away, then she moved the probe across and saw a glimpse of something else. She moved the probe about some more and got a really clear picture of 2 seperate sacs each with a little beanie in it with a tiny pulsating heartbeat!!!
I asked if she measured heart rates but she said no, not at this stage. I guess it's different here in the UK, they seem to monitor things far less. They didn't take blood or anything, so no HCG or progesterone levels.
They gave me more progesterone gel and I have to use that right through to 12 weeks. It's vaginal so no hassle taking it...I'm glad they haven't put me on shots!
I might try and scan the US photo and post it up here if anyone wants to see it!
I'm so excited and pleased that it's all in the right place. I still can't quite believe it, I don't think it's quite sunk in yet!!!
Oh my lots going on in here...Hard to keep track of everyone......

I've been for my 2nd u/s this morning, thankfully everything is still looking great, I was convinced the pregnancy had reabsorbed as I hadn't felt tired or anything, anyway all was well....they found 2 sacs this time, last time they only noticed one, but the 2nd sac was empty anyway!
So I have now been signed off from the hospital and told to go to my GP from now on.
I immediately rang allmy friends and family, I've totally surprised myself by keeping quiet for a whole 8 weeks....WOW!
We were also given leaflets on screening for Downs, fragile x etc, but we have discussed and decided not to have it done, this is my last and only chance at pregnancy and we will face any problems with love...and hope there aren't any of course!
Vlada and Rebeccas I 'm pleased things have settled down a bit for you both, take things easy all you girls

OMG I can't believe it congrats Robin I think makes 6 of us having twins now we are really going to populate the world in about 6 or 7 months ladies.
So I just threw up in my garbage can at work couldn't even make it to the restroom, but I am telling myself that I am not getting and M/S I mean come on I am already 8 weeks I think it would have started by now. I did just eat a hand full of almonds right before it happened so I am going to blame it on the almonds apparently the babies not care for them.
Well take care all I should really try to get some work done today!

hayley - Congratulations!!!!! you are two days behind me so I look forward to sharing this journey with you!!!
Mandy - really happy that things are all going well. We haven't told anyone other than immediate family yet but I can't wait to tell the world. We're going to hang on until we at the 12 week mark (if I can wait that long).
Lisa, glad that the scan went well and happy for you that the MS has eased. The Doctor didn't know how the blood clot has got there but he assured me they are not that uncommon. I'm praying that iit doesn't hurt our chances. he also told me that interestingly IVF patients are more prone to bleeding in their pregnancy - probably due to the constant interefering that goes on!
Vlada - how are you doing my dear?
so whose having twins? WC, Cocoa, me, Hayley, Lisa, Aliann...have I missed anyone?
I know WC hates those lists but it would be nice to have us in order - just so we have a full advisory board!!
Thanks everyone, I think it's just starting to sink in!!!!
Like Mandy I have been released from the clinic now, so it's off to our normal doctor, and the 12 week scan will be at the local hospital. I hope it all goes ok for everyone else too! I can't believe there are so many twins on the way!
I have always intended finding out the sex but my DH wanted to wait for the surprise. Now it's a different story and he's coming round to finding out and be more prepared (is there anything that needs more prep!? Other than the names and the blue/pink room - but yellow will be fine!). Is everyone else going to find out? Having said that now I'm really having second thoughts and thinking it might nice to just wait and see!!!!!!!! Hmmm what a dilemma
Now a really daft question...do twins share a cot or do they need one each!?!!?
Hayley,
Congrats on the twins!!!!!!!
Everybody else, i am so glad that you guys are doing great!!!!!
I am not writing too much because i am just out of it, i threw up blood today and it freaked me out big time, i am waiting for the doc office to call me back on that.
I am thinking of all fo you and wishing you ladies very happy and uneventful ( in a good way) pregnancies!!!
Vlada.
