Hi all,
When did your abdomens start to feel 'different'?! I don't really mean a bump, just any kind of sign of growth . . . mine feels a bit hard low down in the evenings (but i think it might be wind!! - sorry).
Beck x
Hi Becky - it's not wind cos mine is just the same (at 12 weeks). When I've been running around all day it's really hard (like a little suit of armour my DH says!) Apparently after 12 - 14 weeks or so the womb comes up more into the stomach area - this is good cos it means you can stop holding your tummy in all the time (or is that just me?)

Got our 12 week scan tomorrow. Am excited but scared - my heart has been beating really loud since yesterday which always happens to me when I'm stressed - I'm sure other people must be able to hear it!
Will be glad when tomorrow is over - it's so frightening the things that can happen at every stage.

Think you're about the same time as me - 12-ish weeks?? Let me know how you're feeling otherwise.

Jo.XXXXXXX
Lots and lots of luck for tomorrow Jo. I know it's a worry - I've been lucky enough to get two scans so far and each time I'm reassured for a couple of days then I get worried again. Bad things can happen, but they so often don't, and the only thing we can do is try to relax and enjoy our pregnancies. I hate the first bit when they're looking quietly and not saying anything the most! But I feel sure you'll have a lovely time seeing your little one properly and marvelling at how much he/she's grown inside the little suit of armour! And then telling the world - enjoy that bit.

Hmm - I'm only 9 wks - so I think it could still be wind!! But at least not long until it toughens up a bit - and I look forward to letting it all hang out!

All the best for tomorrow, Beck xxx
Jo - dont ask what I'm doing on this side! Just like keeping up with everyone and hearing the miracle stories I guess. Anyway...GOOD Luck tomrrow. Will be thinking of you

Cazxx
Hi Becky & Jo

Mine goes solid (well as much as a big fat jelly belly can!) at night. Im 15 and a half weeks, but I think it started to feel more solid at night at about 9-10 weeks.

I know what you both mean about the scan - those first few seconds feel like forever, and the sonographers at my hospital don't seem the friendliest of people so they don't put you at your ease. When we had the 12 week scan and she said everything was fine, the relief was huge - i;d been in a state about the nuchal test so it was so good to know all was ok.

Like you say Becky, you have to enjoy your pregnancy, although after Tracey's sad news, and all the others recently, i have to admit im finding it hard. I always think its a shame to wish your life away, but in this instance, I just want the next 5 and a half months to whizz past, so I can see Herbie and believe he's real.

Love

Rachel
x
