OK... gone for half a day AND ALL HAVOC BREAKS LOOSE!!!! Twins, twins, EVERYWHERE!!!! OMG!!! What is up with THAT!?!? Oh and Mandy, even though you THINK you're not in that "club" just remember you started out pregnant with twins too...

Whew... NOW I think it is definately time for SOMEONE to put a list together dontcha think? I want to hear from everyone... esp since everyone who was going to get a BFP for April/May has gotten their BFP so we're not being exclusive right? Please post your responses to this... thank you :-)

OK, I do NOT know how much weight I have gained BUT I feel like I gained 10 pounds (though I know I couldn't have). My doc actually reduced my thyroid meds the week before last so I am not sure what effect THAT has been having on my metabolism but we'll see...

I don't think I'll be able to hide my pregnancy for more than another couple of weeks esp with the bbs gain - YIKES!!! I told one friend the other day and I had been trying to get connect with her to tell her for a week but after some of the cold reactions I had gotten from people from whom I would have never had expected that I was slightly gun shy when I told her but she was so excited that I actually cried!!! Hormones... (hormones make you write really long drwan out sentences too...)

Let me ask you ladies... has anyone been excessively cranky? I have and I have gotten into a row with 2 work related people. They misunderstood me, got defensive and I just got angry at their defensiveness. Stupid I know but it's like it's not me and I don't know what to do about being so uncomfortable, hence cranky... It's the M/S, feeling tired and feeling so bloated combined with the hormones that's getting to me. Ugh!!! I'm trying so hard but I just can't seem to get it right...

OK yall, I observed there have been a few BFPs today on the IVF board so maybe we'll get to meet one or two of the ladies...

Vlada - you are always on my heart... be well and take it tizzy...(easy that is)

Let's get that list going!!!

Love you all,

Cocoa - congrats to all the HBs!!!

Hello Ladies,

I am so excited to join this board. I got my BFP a week ago today. My 1st beta was 272 and then I was not retested until 4 days later and it was 1248. I go in today for my 1st ultrasound. I am 5 weeks and 1 day. I am really excited, but also very nervous about having a miscarriage. I am paranoid & for no reason. Is anyone else like this? I am looking forward to seeing the fetal sac today and confirming that everything looks as it is expected to. My current due date is May 21st.

I got my BFP a couple of weeks ago and had my first ultrasound Tuesday. It's TWINS. Seems there's a lot of twins here, so I had to post.
My next ultrasound is next Thurs.

Has anyone been switched from the Progesteron shots to the Progesterone vaginal gel? I was switched but haven't started yet; the pamphlet said something about birth defects, so I called my doc, but they said it's ok. Anyone else on the gel?

I just got back from my 1st ultrasound (5 weeks, 1 day) and we saw a gestational pouch. No yolk or fetus yet. My dr. said it is too soon. Then he had me make an appointment for 7-10 days in order to see the fetus and the heartbeat? Do you think a heartbeat will be visible in a week? I could only get an appointment for next Thursday. I will be 6 weeks & 1 day. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!!!! I am so happy things seem to be moving along as expected!

Hello ladies....

I can not believe how many twins there are on coming in April/May, I think I counted seven. I am settling in to the fact that I will be having just one. Looking back, I think it might have been hard to go from 0 to 2, especially since my DH is really scared for this adventure. Having never held a baby before, he is afraid he'll drop it.

Emotions, emotions, emotions!!!!! I work in a pretty stressful job, where I am responsible for the results of a of a large team. Every time my boss calls me to his office, even if it just to make a suggestion or go over results, or just something small, I get all frustrated and mad at him. I feel like I am constantly on the verge of tears. Normally I would just take his suggestions and move on, but for now I am so offended and upset when I really should not be!

My poor DH made a comment Mon, I took offense and gave the silent treatment for four days. Really! We haven't done that in years. Looking back I feel quite silly, but at the time I was soooo mad! Anyhow, I chalk it up to the hormones, because that is not the normal me......

As far as weight gain, I have gained 2 pounds. I really hope to limit the weight gain, as I am already a bit overweight. But whatever happens, happens. You would think with as much as I am sleeping that the gain would be more. I AM SOOOOO TIRED all of the time!!!! My mom says that goes away after the first 3 months......

I recorded "In the Womb" on National Geographic channel. Using computer imagery and 4D ultrasounds, it goes over the whole 9 months process. It even talks about twins in the womb, both fraternal and identical. Really interesting...but I have yet to make it all the way through without falling asleep. So if any of you have that channel, I am sure it will replay.

Anyway hope all is well with you ladies (and your little ones). Take care, Heidi

Well ladies, here I am joining you just like Cocoa said. I received my first BFP today testing 2 days earlier than my scheduled beta. I am 7dp5dt and my beta is 280. RE says it must be multiples, but whether I have twins or trips I won't know until U/S. I'm still going in on Sun (2 days from now) for my real beta. If I double, I should be at about 560 (which I guess could go either way).

I'm so tired these days and can't focus at work. I'm so anxious to know how many! Then, of course, I want to know sex (so I can shop). Of course, MOST IMPORTANTLY, I want to know they are all healthy!!!! Does it ever end? Don't answer that one. In any event, I just wanted to introduce myself and say i am absolutely THRILLED TO BE HERE.

xoxo

Hi,

Welcome to michelle, ellenm and babyb.

Well still no m/s so maybe I'm just never gonna get it, I was surprised this mornign though, my trousers have got tight....it seems to have happened all of a sudden! So I tried breathing in, but my tummy wouldn't go in! I'm not visibly pregnant to anyone else, but it made me feel so good, I kept on rubbing my tummy all proud as punch!

So I'm going to my last weight watchers meeting on Wednesday...not really any point in continuing to pay, when my wieght is onyl going to go in one direction for the next 7 months! But I'm really going to try to be careful, as they say, you don't need twice the calories...only twice the nutrition!

I had a horrible person in at work, she asked if the reason she could not get an appointment with me for over 4 weeks was because of me having another IVF (as you know I've never kept it quiet!) She then said, well obviously its never going to work and isn't it about time I just accepted it.....WHAT A COW! I got great satisfaction in telling her I was in fact pregnant and that it was up to me how many times I wished to put my body through the treatment and no one elses!

I got a big bunch of flowers and a huge bar of chocolate yesterday from one of DH's children to say congratulations, that was so sweet!

Hi all, and welcome to more april/may BFPs!!!

I have been just so TOTALLY EXHAUSTED.

And SICK.

Morning, noon and night sickness. Not always sick but nausia all the time pretty much.

I went to M&S this morning to get measured properly for a maternity bra and they recommended a 36DD  (I'm usually a 36C). It was sooo hot in there. I almost passed out and had to call my DH to come and get me

The belly seems to be rapidly expanding.

Hope you are all well!

Hi girls,

Sorry its been a while. Glad to read you are all keeping well.

I had my 7 week sca today and there is one beautiful baby with a very clear heartbeat. It was very strange, like it was happening to somebody else.

I have started to get the symptoms now ( after my wishing), I have constant nausea and that awful tast in the mouth! I also fainted last week but the doc said its ok.

My baby is due May 12th.

Now for the girlie question - when can I start nookie again? Feel really worried still and especially worried about the big O, but my cousin said its good for the baby as it pumps extra blood round the body ???? Anyone else feeling "in the mood" loads so early on, I thought it was much later it came . Trouble is DH is away anyway - seeing him Sat. Might not be able to resist!!!!!haha.
