Hi christie --

My doc also had me take the HCG shot intramuscular along with all of the subsequent progesterone shots. I used a large gauge needle to pull the meds into the syringe and then changed to a smaller gauge needle (still 1 1/2" long) to inject into my upper buttocks area near the hip bone. Wish i had a video like you got! Hope all went well -- now its onto the ER!!!

I'm almost done with the 3 days of bed rest...next I've got three days of staying at home at least I won't be stuck in bed the entire time. Hope all of this is helping.

Hi girls...thanks for all the good luck messages. I can't believe it's ER tomorrow morning...thankfully i've hada pretty busy weekend and tmw is just round the corner. I went for accupuncture today and it went really well...felt so relaxed. What a week it's going to be!

Praying for all you lovely ladies and good luck for those who are joining me with ER tmw...i'll be checking in to give you the results!

I was so nervous when dh did the hcg shot last night. It actually didn't hurt that bad. No worse than the other shots. It was after the shot that it hurt. It is still really sore. Does anyone have any pointers to help with the soreness afterwards? Nerms, good luck tomorrow morning. I can't believe it is almost here. I'll post my results too.

Hey Christie, i don't think you can do too much about the butt soreness

the only thing they mentioned to me was to use a heating pad on it for a while, I really haven't done that because I usually get my morning shower right after my shot and I figure that heat works the same way...

Just wanted to say I did the trigger shot last night. My egg retrieval is tomorrow at 9:30 AM. I will post the results.

Hello ladies.... all went well...we got 21 eggs. Feeling a little tired, going for accupunture in a little while! Good luck Christie and Donna. Waiting to hear from you also! : )

DH had a low sperm count today...but still when you only have to choose 21 from a million then i'm sure they will be spoilt for choice!!

I'm back at home. DH went to get us lunch. I'm starving. We got 8 eggs. So, not as many as I had hoped for, but I'll take it. DH's sperm count actually went up to 6 million. The last time it was only 500,000. So, that was good news. We'll see what happens overnight. I'm still pretty sore. I have a script for Percocet waiting for me at CVS, so then I'll be of to la la land

Good luck Nerms and Donna. I can't wait to see how many fertilized for you. I want to thank everyone for all the advice and PMA. It really does help having a place to ask all those silly questions and vent about your fears.

Hello,
They retrieved 11 eggs today. I feel like crap! They only were able to get two out of my right ovary. They couldn't get to it, and didn't want to hurt me. Or we would have had about 18. I am bloated and cramping. I am debating if I should go to work tomorrow.

Congrats nerms and Christy. We will know how many fertilized tomorrow. We are doing ICSI..

Well, AF has arrived right on time day 28 of my cycle. I'm a little concerned I was under the impression that the Lupron would suppress things causing AF to be late? I go for my first BD and US on Wednesday, I'm hopeing for no cysts so I can begin right on time.

Donnell-Thank you so much for the words of encouragement. My father is progressing well and will be released from the hospital on Tuesday.

Good luck. We're doing ICSI as well, so we'll see what happened overnight. They usually call around 1-2pm est. I'm so nervous. I feel pretty sore today too. I feel a lot of pressure on my bladder. Did anyone else feel like this? I feel like I've waited to long to pee and it hurts, if that makes sense. I also feel like I did a million situps. I assume this is all normal, but I really didn't expect to be this sore. I did take a Percocet last night before bed and it helped a little. I'm sure we'll all be feeling better by tomorrow. I hope. I can't wait to find out how many eggs fertilized for you guys. I'll check in later on.

Michele, that's great news that AF showed up on time. I also had AF show up exactly when she was supposed to when I was on the Lupron. I wasn't on bcp, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Good luck with your bw/us. You'll be stimming soon.

Hello,
Out of the 11 eggs that were retrieved, all were mature and all fertilized with ICSI. Thursday morning in the Embryo Transfer. Yippee!!

Wow Donna. That's great news. I have to wait anothe couple hours to get my results. Hopefully, I'll be having my ET on Thur. with you. When is your pregnancy test date? Mine is Oct. 12, but I'm going to see if we can do it on that Sat., the 13th instead. I would rather have DH home when we find out the results.
