Oh Aliann I'm really sorry to hear that

I had no idea that the chances of one not making it were so high. I hope the other embie is ok. Try not to be too down...the other one needs you to be strong.

I don't think I'd have told anyone it was twins if I'd know those rates either.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

These next four weeks are just as hard as the last 4! I've called in sick last few days because I'm so paranoid about overdoing it and hurting the babies.

Good luck to all.

Wood, I don't think they have ever checked my Progesterone levels. The only blood work I ever had done was my hcG I never saw the doctor again until my viability U/S last week and everything was great size, HB, after that U/S I was released to my OB that is who I saw yesterday. They did take my blood (4 vials) but it was for regular prenatals so I don't really know what they check with all of that. But my OB knows that I am on progesterone and suggested that I continue longer than my RE suggested due to the fact that my body my try to expel lost twin.

I have my first ultrasound today and am feeling excited but also apprehensive. I've had OHSS, pain and a lot of bloating and have been afraid about it affecting the baby. From what I've read it doesn't, it just has had me worried.
I'm hoping we can stop the pio shots soon as I'm getting tired and sore from the nightly routine. My progesterone level was very high so maybe we will be able to.
I will let all of you know how it goes today!

Hello,
I am just returning from my 2nd ultrasound. The baby is 6 weeks, 1 day old. Today we saw a yolk sac, a fetal pole, & a HB! :-) We are so happy! My only concern is that the HB was only 94. They said this was because the heart just formed & just started to beat. My dr. was not at all concerned. Anyone know if I should be? I go back on Oct. 8th.

Hello everyone,

I've had a very hard 48 hours. On Tuesday night I had a strange "tight" feeling across my chest and a bit of shortness of breath/difficulty breathing. It lasted pretty much all night and I barely slept. In the morning I felt a bit better but still the strange tight feeling, plus everytime I did the slightest thing like walk up the stairs my pulse immediately raced to about 140bpm.

I went to my doctor the next day and he advised me to go to the hospital emergency department as a precaution. They ran some tests, blood etc, plus did an ECG of my heart. All appeared normal but they kept me in overnight wired up to a machine all night just in case.

They didn't do any tests or scans of the babies.

I'm at home now and not feeling too bad, just absolutely exhausted. My heart still races whenever I do the slightest thing. Has anyone else experienced SEVERE tiredness and this tight chest/racing heart???

Oh my goodness girls... so much anxiety... but I guess that comes with pregnancy ESPECIALLY when our fears get realized - we worry about our babies already and it only gets more intense AFTER they are born and as they grow... I can't post much due to crappy M/S but I have you all in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Aliann... there are no words to express my sadness over your loss. I can only really say that though the loss will never leave your heart you will have the opprotunity to hug, nurture and love the baby that knew your other baby intimately. As you hold your new baby in another 7 months you will remember and find peace.

Hayley... I too get winded (and I am a walker) up stairs and sometimes when I start my walks. I also sometimes get rapid heartbeats and flutters. That's the body adjusting to the increased volume of blood and the demands that the "little parasites" put on our bodily systems. Its very normal. Your tightness is probably just a by product of the extra fluid and rapid beats. I hope you can rest and not feel too anxious.

Vlada... glad you are being monitored closely and that the baby is doing well.

Lisa!!!! OMG!!! what an ordeal you have been through. ANY show of blood can freak us out but you now know that your babies are alright and healthy so I hope you feel better and can rest well.

Michelle - your HB is just fine. I saw my babies at 5w 6d and they had comparable HBs. I told the doc I was surprised there WERE HBs and he said that sometimes you can see them just before 6w but in any case, your baby's HB is great... and when you see your baby again you will see that the rate has increased.

WC... thanks for your note the other day. Sorry I am being so irresponsible with contact lately. Its just that all I want to do is lay down and NOT think when I get home from work. The M/S is WAAAYYYY worse in the late afternoon/evening. Its after I start to eat in the morning that it just gets worse. I am so big in the tummy that a co-worker who retired in June saw me for the first time today since I got pregnant and she noticed IMMEDIATELY. There was no denying it either. I asked her about the give away (I wear blazers and sweaters etc). She said she saw my pooch and that it seems solid and said that she knew it wasn't fat because I am meticulous about my workouts. So... I asked her not to say anything cause none of my other co-workers know yet. Oiy!!! Soon I will HAVE to say something.

Well, gonna go now. I feel icky...

Love to you all,

Cocoa

Hey ladies is it too late for me to join this thread?
We had our first ultrasound today and its TWINS! We are so excited and happy. the nurse said that is so nice to see because a lot of couples are just in shock. They were really surprised because my beta numbers were not that terribly high. It all just seems so much more real now. With the OHSS I was really worried because I've been having pain and such.
Hope all is well with the rest of you.
