Heard heartbeat today for 1st time .....

.... it was an unexpected surprise as it was, I thought, just my first meeting with my midwife to say hello, check blood pressure,etc. They said not to panic if they couldn't find it (I'm 14 wks 1 day) but it was there straight away and really lovely. Wish my DH could have been there. Booked triple test now for two weeks time - will be really glad when that bit's over!! This pregnancy thing is just one thrill after another!! I'm starting to show a little bit in that I look just thicker around the waist (sort of shapeless!!) Lots of Love to you all out there & your bumps. Jo. XXXXX

Hi Jo It truly is amazing when you hear the heartbeat for the first time!! I remember shedding a little tear when I heard mine. Hope everything else is going well for you, there are loads of little things that happen over the next few weeks that make it all so real, wait for the first kick!!!!! Take care LOL Emma

Jo, It's great isn't it? Mine sounds like a horse galloping! does yours?? Glad all is fine, good luck with the triple test too. Lots of love Kirsty x

Hi everyone - it did sound just like a galloping horse now you come to mention it!! Oh, I wish I could hear it every day!! I heard somewhere that you can rent those doppler machines - it's tempting isnt it?? Jo. XX
