Helloo - best of luck Sassy - what's the plan after EC -are you doing a transfer or are you still on the mega cycle ?

Meg - love the thought of Lucy in all those outfits in her short time so far on the planet - she is a girl after my own heart - she can come shopping with me any time :D and is doing the sistahood proud!

Amy - thanks for the tv tips - I have a tv guide now so all set. Saw a bit of dog the bounty hunter but on so late I fell asleep - will try him again tomorrow - seems quite a character and meg - you are right - wifey really does have an enormous bosum. Sadly doesn't look like the conchords are on this week :( :(

Hi to the other sistas. For the benefit of my US sistas here is a list of all the things I love about the states:

1) shopping as already mentioned
2)the fact that you can by a huge variety of salad and cold yummy foods everywhere - even in the supermarkets - you never need to prepare a meal all summer - fantastic.
3)you can walk around all day in the sun and not get sunburnt - in Oz you have to slip slop slap (sun screen) or you burn in 10 mins
4) Dr D and his dark little room are along way away
5) The sistas are more or less on the same time zone as me (but not Fee - g'day mate!)

However my trip will soon be at an end - can't wait to get back to see DH (will be nearly 2.5 weeks since I saw him) - I fly back Thursday.

bye for now

Hello Sisters

I've been flat out trying to wrap things up before I go on leave next week...woo hoo! Had an appt with Dr yesterday with ultrasound. Am now worried because I think I saw something on Noggin's face and that he may be deformed. My mate has pointed out that if the Doc wasn't worried I shouldn't be either, plus the ultrasound pic is not the best quality....I can stand this worry!

Sass By now you have had EC???? Please give us a full report. The next few days are going to be exciting as we wait for the final fert report. Edge of our seat stuff, no two ways about it. Loved the BIL update, he must be quite hardcore to warrant a helicopter. Is there any possibility of him detoxing in jail or are drugs available in jail as well. Is BIL older or younger than DH? Has he always had "problems?" Sorry to hear about your upper quadrant pain. If I was a doctor I would be self diagnosing left right and centre...do you drive yourself crazy like that???

Angie. I can't believe your trip is almost over. I have to agree with you on the food thing in the US, especially in New York, so much food so little time, loved it. I'm glad to hear that you have managed to catch a bit of Dog, and been distracted by his wife's massive bust. I just love Dog and his band of bogans, it's hilarious. And when he catches the badies he always tries to make friends with them and give them a lecture, usually lights up a cigarette for them in the car, while they are handcuffed, classic.

Amy, you sound like the most organised of the sisters, I have yet to produce any sort of album of my photos. It's very sad, I just keep them in boxes...Perhaps you could be the sisterhood personal organiser, roving around and getting us into shape. I need help, still have bought nothing for Nogs. I will however buy the basics as recommended by you. Nogs just kicked me while typing that, I think he agrees with you.

Robbo, thanks for the hospital tip, I will take everything that is not nailed down. I will need anything I can get my hands on. I'm with you on the OJ thing, I remember staying up late waiting for the verdict, since that time though I have changed my mind and I think he did it.

Jenn congratulations on your little girl you must be over the moon. And fantastic that all of her bits and pieces seem to be functioning A OK. Such a relief. My DH hates shopping as well so I agree it is far to risky to allow him to do it on his own. I will try to get out this weekend and sort somthing out.

Mego, Lucy sounds like a real cutie. I will go out shopping! I am still pretty terrified of jinxing things though...I think I will buy the bare minimum so as not to tempt fate. I am feeling a bit nervous but more wanting to get on with it so I can finally meet Noggin and check that he is OK. I'm prepared to put up with anything to get to that point.

Well I'd better go and try to sort out some more of the nutters out there who require my services,

Fee

Hi ladies...
Sorry I didn't post yest. Was just feeling crappy and even firing up the internet seemed like a lot of work

ER yest went well. Dr. D got 18 eggs. Right on. Will get fert report later today. Not sure what to expect as our fert rates have ranged from 30% to 90%. Mr. Sassy spoiled me like crazy yesterday and I am annoyed he had to go back to work today  . Still quite sore, so I am glad I am off work until Friday. My butt is firmly planted in the recliner and I intend to surf all the mindless daytime tv shows possible!

As for Dog... I also find the show to be funny. Although Mrs. Dog's bosoms are a bit distracting (and oddly shelf-like).

As for The *******-- a small vent. He contacted fil on Monday (first contact with the family since arrest) and wanted fil to represent him. fil said no way, and won't pay for a private attorney-- the ******* will have to work that out himself (he has no money as it has been confiscated) or use a public defender. During the conversation, ******* said he "was forced" to steal the e.scalade since he didn't have means of transport (using the bus is beneath him, if you didn't already know-- so he blames it on fil/mil for not providing him with a car). He also denies stealing the money from our accounts, etc. He says it was his friends (ummmm, idiot... why would your friends forward our mail to YOUR apartment????). Not sure why that would absolve him anyway, since he would have had to give them the info and approve of them using it. Whatever. Clearly has no concept the chaos he has caused in our lives, has no remorse and has no intention to take responsibility. Beautiful. Makes it easier not to feel sorry for him detoxing away in the jail when that is his attitude. He told fil that the detectives found all sorts of info re: his crimes in his house and he is trying to work out a plea deal were he will rat on his friends. Quite the stand up guy  We were notified by the Victim assistance service through the police that he is in custody and we will receive updates and possibly subpoenas to testify.

To answer a few of fee's questions... drugs are available, but much harder to come by than on the "outside". So pretty much he is detoxing the hard way... He is the "baby" in dh's family-- eight years younger than dh who is the oldest. So the ******* is 28 yo. since he was a teenager, he has been lazy and felt entitled. Always finding a shortcut whenever possible. Started doing steroids when he was 18, narcotics the next year, and it went downhill from there.

Well, Aussies... looks like we will have to postpone our trip down under. With everything happening, we never got plans in order and with dh's trial schedule, we would only have 2 weeks. So we are going to use it as the ultimate IWDGPT after the mega-cycle thaw.

Oh, I have droned on.

Angie: have a good (but very long  ) flight back home. We have enjoyed having you visit

well done Sassy - 18 is a really good number - not too many, not too few - you must be happy with that. When will you transfer - when is the big thaw?

I watched dog last night - fascinating. I don't get it though - they supply bond money for people who can't afford bail - they go after them when the abscond - but how do dog and his family earn their money ?- who pays them - do we have bond people in Oz, Fee ? do you have clients like Dog? I vaguely remember something in a John Grisham novel ..... and as for the boobs , they are like a kitchen bench top especially when she wears lighter tops - what a family!

Fee - get yourself shopping immediately other wise I will have to come and help you. Poor little Nogs - he's got to keep up with Lucy and all her outfits - and you say he 's only got two pairs of pants..she is not going to impressed.

Well Sassy - I'm surfing too in my hotel room - in between writing up my report for the trip. It's hot hot hot here so may have to go and use the hotel pool for one last time too...

Well done Sassy! 18 eggs sound great, can't wait to hear how the other half of it went. I'm sure your eggs loved Dh's men.

Sorry to see you go Angie, but glad you enjoyed your stay. Do enjoy that hotel pool for me. Our neighborhood pool closed when the kids went back to school.

I too love to watch the Dog, but am also distracted by wife's bosom. (As is DH when he watches!) Does anyone read the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich? They are hilarious. Stephanie is a bond agent and tries to bring in the runaways like Dog does. There are 13 books out so far- I think. Number one is called "One for the Money" I have gotten all of my friends addicted to them. I highly reccommend them. They have a little of everything- trashy romance, suspense, and comedy. Good for plane rides...

ok- back to work, I am going through my fall decorations.

Later!
Jenn

So ladies, we got good news (I know, stop the presses!)

Out of the 18 eggs, 15 were mature and all fertilized! Fab. So they will be banked along with the 3 other 2pns we had from IVF#4. We will probably cycle again next month--- for what will be my last cycle (!). Those 2pns will be banked along with the others, then we will do a thaw cycle either in December or January.

Roll on mega-cycle...

Woo hoo Sassy that is a fantastic fert report, what a difference between cycles...Can't wait for your next go!

Nice update on BIL. I get the picture now, the pampered youngest son who never really had to stand on his own two feet. Hopefully an nice stretch inside will see him detox completely. Apparently that meth is damned hard to get off of. I know there has been a rise in violent crime here in Oz which has been linked to that drug...And Sassy, your trip to Oz won't be an IWDGP trip. My prediction (and remember my special powers here) is that you won't be going to Oz for at least the next few years. YOu will be bringing Sassy Jnr with you....

Jenn, those books sound like my cup of tea, I'm gonna look out for them, love me a bit of trash.

Good questions Ang, I'm not sure how Dog makes his money. I don't think we have bail bond people here in Oz. I wonder if Dog gets a reward for brining the crims in. And yes, some of my clients used to look like Dog and sometimes the felons that he collects. That's when I used to do Legal Aid work. Got tired of the death threats and the drama and only do very little Legal Aid work now....Have a safe trip home, hope the in flight entertainment is good....

As for me, I'm really starting to get paranoid about this whole jinxing thing. Yesterday my invites for baby shower went out. Last night, my 40kg dog launged himself at my uterus. I have a small scratch down my stomach around where Nogs' head is. I got in a complete panic and cried for hours. Obviously not handling the stress well. Called the hosp and they said as long as Nogs is still moving (which he is) and as long as there is no bleeding Nogs is probably OK. Just to be on the safe side I called my OB's rooms and am waiting to hear back from the mid-wife. I think I will be psychotic by the end of this...

Sassy--Way to go. Those are very impressive numbers. One more cycle, huh? Let's get 20 this time, okay? (I know, but I think you seem like the kind of person who works better under pressure so I thought if I threw a high number at you, it would only help you excel!)

Fee--Oh man, hang in there. Those last few weeks are tough. I'm sure Nogs is doing great---babies are so tough. I can't believe you're at 35 weeks. He's going to be here before you know it and then you really get to worry!

Jenn--Yes, I love those Plum novels. Hilarious. Can't decide if I want her to be with Morelli or Ranger, though.

Angie--Hope you had/have a safe trip back home. I'm sure I speak for the whole country when I say that America was a better place with you in it!

As for us, we're hanging in there. I had a rough afternoon yesterday. My dh went to golf league and of course the second he was out the door, Lucy was screaming. She wouldn't eat off either breast (both were engorged) so I had to pump and then feed her but she was so upset she kept crying herself to sleep and then we'd have to start the whole process over. It lasted for 2 hours. Finally, in desperation I gave her some gas relief medicine and she was zonked in 5 minutes! So, I'm a big fan of gas relief!!!! She also slept for 2 whole hours in her bassinet last night---huge doings! We go in for her two week checkup today.

Well, I'm off to watch The View! Meg

Girls so much good news here - so little time!

Sassy - First and foremost a big shout out to the 18. You are rockin the party with those numbers. How long are they growing them out for you?? I am with Psychic Fee and agree that the land of Oz might be a bit far off with all those extra mouths to feed! ;)

Meg - You would be referring to the "witching hour". I think most babies experience them. I also think many people either neglect to mention it or have blocked that from their memories, but it too will pass.... and for the Mylicon drops - can't live without them. We were never sure if they actually did anything, but they made us feel like we were trying and that was enough. Can't wait to hear more about Lucy's fashion shows... which leads me to

FEE - Get your A$$ out there and do some shopping. There will be no more talks about jinxing poor nogs. He is coming and you need to have some cute outfits ready for him or all the moms are going to look at you and wonder. We can't have that fee. Stay strong - grab the credit card and you hit those stores hard this weekend. Are you off from work now??

Angie - Glad you enjoyed our trashy culture of Dog the Bounty Hunter and I am sure countless other brainless shows. Makes you proud to not be a card carrying member of the US passport. I am always so mortified when my family comes from Denmark. They just leave shaking their heads and wondering what will we think of next! The world of reality tv hasn't hit them yet. Poor them!

Jenn - Glad to hear you are home for a bit. How is fall coming along at your house?? Any fun decor? I do make some pumpkin topiaries every year for the porch. Quite simple and they last for quite some time. Just buy three pumpkins in descending order (try for round and flat on the top with no stems for the two bottoms)- a cute small one on the top with a curly stem are a personal favorite - and then glue them together with some of the construction adhesives - I like to layer fall leaves in between each one and then put in a large pot that is filled and has a disc inside to hold the bottom pumpkin out of the pot - wrap with a bow and voila! Instant Martha Stewart on your porch. You will be the talk of the street.

Well I am off to bed. Trying the diet from the Infertility Cure book and it has me wanting to eat my arms off so I figure the best thing to do is to sleep it off.

night night

Hey girls!

Where is everyone? Are you all exhausted from a weekend of partying?

We painted what will be the baby's room and picked out furniture.

Amy those topiary pumpkins sound cute. Thanks for the idea. I am not a crafty person though, so they would probably turn out not looking right! I may give it a shot though. Speaking of pumpkins, I think i'll make some pumpkin bread later this week. I can't wait for the weather to cool down so it really feels like fall!

Hello ladies - I'm back home safe and sound.

fee - sorry to hear your canine friend gave you a fright - hope he does not cause any more mischief. good to hear nogs is still bouncing around.

Sassy - way to go girl - what a great result for you and inspiring/encouraging for me too. Cycles can differ so much - that is for sure. So what's the plan now?

Jenn - good work on the nursery. Fee - any progress reports from you. :D

Amy - hope the desire to eat you arm has subsided.

Well I have a renunion with Dr D tomorrow to establish whether AF is likely to turn up or whether I have to take Drugs to bring her on to get the Thaw cycle show on the road.

For those of you are interested in these things, remember I took CHinese herbs to see if they could regulate my cycle. Well last month I did a OPK and it was positive and, 2 weeks later came AF. (For a PCO lady this was quite an exciting event). So obviously I am intrigued to know what will happen this month. (haven't taken herbs for a few weeks as they don't mix with IVF drugs and interfere with blood test results).

Hi to everyone else.

BTW - I am REALLY missing Dog!

Hey girls.

Angie: welcome back home. Yes, I can imagine Dog withdrawls could be quite severe. Make sure to ease the pain with some alcohol and chocolate. Doctor's orders!

Fee: how's Nogs doing? Any serious shopping goin' on down under????

Jenn: Ummmm. I could use some pumkin bread over here. How 'bout overnight shipping?

Since our newly psychic Fee has predicted I would be with child and therefore unable to travel after the new year... we have rethought our travel plans (ok, ok... that wasn't the real reason, but it fits well, no?). I just found good plane tickets to Malaysia to visit our friends. Hmmmmm. Maybe we will sneak in another vaca before the holidays. Either way, it doesn't appear we will make it Down Under-- that is, until our children are old enough to travel

Amy: I laughed when I read your response regarding our trip to Aussieland. I had this picture of me carting 18 little ones on a plane

Well, I've decided that grocery store stockers are evil. I mean, do we really need Halloween candy to be out already? Because can I just tell you that I can not pass the damned halloween aisle without buying candy. And then I eat it all. And don't get me started on candy corn mixed with peanuts. I've been eating it for the last 15 minutes while I check my email and whatnot. Can't stop. It's evil. Yet, I have to buy it. Oh well.

Hope everyone is doing well. My Lucy won't let me lay her down, so I've been limited on when I can get online. I am getting really good at doing things with just one hand! Anyway, she's actually sitting in her bouncy chair right now, so I suppose instead of using this time to chat online I should be doing something productive like the dishes. Yuck.

Jenn--What does your nursery look like? I want details!

Oops--she's crying. Talk soon. Meg

Hey girls

Just wanted to check in. It's been awful quiet lately. We are heading out to the big Florida vs. LSU game tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone is doing well. I really hope you are getting fall weather because we don't get it here. It is still in the 90's. And leaves don't turn pretty colors here. They are green and then they die and fall off becuase the weather turns to cold with no fall temperatures in between. Something I really miss about living up north!

Meg- I think the candy corn and peanuts thing is a northern thing. We used to eat that in Indiana and then when we moved to Louisiana nobody had ever heard of it. My nursery is a green color. Almost pale but not quite. The furniture is dark cherry and we love it. It is nicer than our bedroom furniture. The crib converts to a full size bed and toddler bed when she gets older. I thought that was cool. And then when I told everyone they were like "yeah, our cribs do that too". Guess I'm just not up on new crib technology!

Glad to hear Lucy is doing well!

Fee- did you register for items people can get you for your shower? Or do people just get you what they want? I found the whole registering thing to be very overwhelming! I don't make decisions well.

Sassy- Pumpkin bread comin right up! Just tell me where. I would ship some to everyone. Although I'm not sure how it would taste by the time it got to Aussie Land. :D

Angie- hope you are doing ok back at home. Back to work huh? How long does it take to get over that jetlag?
Jenn

Where are all the sisters? So quiet around here!

I need you guys to distract me right now. My good friend's brother was killed on Sunday morning in a car accident and it has been a rough week. Trying to comfort, plus I am taking on some of her students and helping with the funeral... I need some fun stories from you girls.

I did go to a new Dr this week too - one that practices acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He told me some amazing things that I couldn't believe he could tell from my pulse and tongue. It was a great time. So I am on a six week course of cleansing and acupuncture with him. Hopefully I will be ready for a successful transfer in November/December... just in time to join Angie and Sassy!

Anyone around??? Bueller? Bueller?
