OHSS and vomiting?

Post by shantala »

hi all

i'm nearly 9 weeks pregnant. i was hospitalised with OHSS in my 2ww for 10 days and was that bloated i looked about 4-5 months pregnant!

the bloating has gone down now but i have a question.

i get really bad morning sickness where i vomit once or twice in the morning and then feel nauseas all day. but one day last week and 2 days this week i was vomiting all day and just couldnt keep anything down at all.

my question is this: has anyone with hyperstimulation suffered with extreme sickness on some days??

ive read on a couple of posts here that the hyperstimulation should start reducing around week 12....lets hope so!

It doesn't look like anyone else has experienced this. Are you still vomitting? Have you consulted with the RE yet to see what you can do about it? I hope you are feeling better.

I find that I get naseaus (spelling) and am assuming it is from the OHSS. I thought I was going to throw up the other day, but never did. I know they usually say to just do it b/c it makes you feel better, but I can never bring myself to making myself throw up. I will hold it back as long as possible. UGGGG....grosses me out.

Let me know how you feel.

hey christin

thanks for replying. no, it doesn't look like anybody else has had this. never mind. my sickness is much better since this week, thanks! i think it was probably a mixture of things, partly the OHSS and partly m/s.

anyway, hope you start feeling better soon. i've also replied to your PM.

Hi Shantala!

So good to see you over here!!

Sorry you've not had a very good time of it with the sickness. I did get OHSS so can't really comment but I know up until about week 13 I felt nauseous ALL the time and was probably only sick a handful of times. I found keeping on top of the hunger helped.

I hope your m/s doesn't last too long. Its the worst bit!

Take care and once again I'm so happy for you!

Love Ems xx
