Hey everyone just a quick update.. Thank you all for best wishes.. DH tried to scare me I think... After his surgery his O2 saturation levels were not that good and the nurses were concerned with the fact that Dr had said he was sending DH home. So after all was said I was an emotional train wreck... They stuck Dh back in recovery with oxygen and then Dr said that to make sure he was OK they were sending him to a room but if he felt OK he was welcome to come home.... So after us being there 12 hours we finally got to leave and come home YEAH!!! He is still very sore but home, shew..
OK as for me I had cervical check today and I do have to say that my lil man made mommy very proud!! He actually gave us beautiful poses and profiles!! He also flipped us the bird. ha ha and in one he had his arm behind his head and foot up in the air like his leg was crossed hee hee. My cervix was 3.08 last time and Lil Bit weighed 13 ounces... THIS time cervix was 3.57 and he is now weighing in at 1 pound 3 ounces.
I'm sorry this was all about me and there are no personals I will try to get on here tomorrow for that. But I did read up on everyone and glad to see everyone is still doing well.
Wishing you all the best and hope you all have a great night. Here is my lil man posing for the camera lol.
thanks for the info on sleeping everyone...yes I've read also it's best to stay on the left side, gets uncomfortable and I switch often...pillows are my BBF! DH doesn't like the fort, he keeps tossing them off the bed, he needs to live a day in my shoes.
wannabeone- how are you feeling? I never get tired of hearing that question...LOL
Steph- glad DH is doing better. Nice pictures...we never get tired of looking at our bundle of joy, and I stop worring for a couple hours.
Malinka- when are you supposed to schedule glucose test, I asked last time but never got an answer, they were busy. I'm lucky don't have the sweet tooth.
ChristineB- I still haven't made the apple crisp yet....too tired, hopefully I'll have the energy tomorrow, helping my sister move into new condo tonight, actually I'm just bringing the pizza. I don't plan on returning to work afterwards, I'm currently trying to put together a plan to work from home...wouldn't start anything for 6-9 months though
TansRN- I'm with you...keep flipping all night and peeing
Nothing new really here, don't have another appointment until 10/11, drives me nuts when baby doesn't move or I don't feel it, for a few hours. And I'm still gaining weight (too much) don't understand, I really don't over eat, not more than 2000 a day, but I got on the scale today and I gained another 5lbs..that puts me at 30lbs so far and I'm only 22 weeks tomorrow. The only reason I got on the scale was a friend (???) told me last night I looked HUGE, not once, but twice. Oh well I'm just happy being pregnant, I'll lose it after. But please any comforting stories would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys
I went for my u/s yesterday at the peri office and I posted all of the pics and info at www.thejourneyforbaby.blogspot.com if you wish to view it. The babies were absolutely amazing! I am so happy!!! Everything is looking good with them and they are about a pound and a half each and measuring a week or so later than I really am. Sophie was sucking her thumb again! It was sooo cool to watch them! I loved it. I scheduled my 3D ultrasound for Oct 22nd to hopefully be able to see their little faces!!! That will really be amazing!!!!
Malinka
No I cannot imagine what you are feeling with that. it must be awful!
Christine
It is good to have a name with some meaning and to carry on some of the family tradition....I know what you mean about not really liking it the best but it really doesnt sound that bad. It is a cute name and you will only hear the whole thing when you get mad and at graduation and marriage!!!! LOL Good Luck on your busy doctor day! Wow that is a lot of things to do in one morning!!!!
Steph
Glad that your DH is doing better. That can sure make for a long day at the hospital. It is hard to be there with a loved one going through all of that. Stress city!!! I loved your ultrasound photos! Your little bit sucking his thumb it looked like! How cute!!!! Those are really good photos of him. How wonderful.....
Noodle
Do not worry about it. I was 140 lbs when I got pg with my first son and everyone was like you are gaining too much-you are huge like a house...blah blah blah when I went in to have him I weighed in at 220!!! Then about 6 weeks later I was back to 150. Everyone made a big deal about it but I didnt worry I wasnt doing anything wrong. I was eating when i was hungry and I would stop when I was full. Plain and simple. Then at the end with all the water weight it was out of control. I would not worry about it. You just want to be happy and have a healthy baby. This is not the time to be worried about weight and dieting.....

noodle, they told me to schedule it after I turn 26 weeks. All books are saying is somewhere between 24 weeks and 28 weeks, so I guess I should do sometime soon, I am 26 weeks as of today.
tanya congrats on your great appt!!
well, nothing new with me, although I do have silly question for you girls. Some of you gave birth before, so do you know what it feels like when someone's water breaks? Does it come out on its own or w a pee? sorry for such a stupid question!!!
Malinka - I actually had my water broken since I was dilated to 5cm and it had not ruptured yet. It is separate from your pee. It can drip out or gush out from your vag. Once mine was broke it gushed out. Hope this helps.

malkina:
my water broke when I passed the twins last month. It very clearly comes from a different hole than your pee pee does and it just feels different. Mine, didnt gush out but when I flexed those muscles I could feel the fluid coming out. The fluid is thicker also and not as yellow as pee.

Christine B- I like the name Jane, we are using Teresa as a middle name it was my sisters name who passed from cancer 10 yrs ago. I was named after my great grandmother and aunt and have always loved the fact that I came into the world with a little history already
Malinka- I'll have to schedule my glucous test on my next visit...did you schedule yours yet?? I set aside my last PH for it, they say it takes most of the day?
TansRN- the 3D US are soooo cool, they gave us one for our 1st trimester screen but not again...bummer
As for me I think I'm going to try and get some mums in the ground Saturday and maybe start to register. I was thinking Babies R Us and Target. We bought our furniture set, JC Penny's had a sale and we got everything for 25% off. It looks nice but we weren't able to feel it so we're a little nervous. Hope you all have a great weekend and take care of those babies!!

Just a quick and sorta funny update. I've had a little bit of spotting the last couple of day so I called my OB and they had me get an ultrasound and exam. Well our baby is doing great and weighs 2lbs 2oz and she was moving all around and sucking her thumb. The placenta and cervix looked good. So once my OB examined me she noticed a little nerve just outside of my vag (sorry if TMI) and it was slightly bleeding. She said it was like a varicose vein that has gotten so swollen it starts to bleed. So it wasn't blood from inside at all - THANK GOD! She said it's more common in women who have already been pregnant. Everything is swelling due to the uterus and that is what irritated the vein. So we feel much more relieved now that we had it checked out. Plus it was a bonus to get to see our little one.
I hope all of you are doing well. Take Care!

Christine
I am so glad that the blood was not from inside. That is interesting about the vein issue. I havent heard of that but I know that when you saw blood you must have been freaked out. I know I would be. Isnt it so cool to see your little baby doing all of those great things inside the womb? I love that. I am glad taht you and baby are doing OK.
Noodle
Take a deep breath and relax girl! Now it should be fun to shop. I think that once you get past the first hurddle it is much easier!!! How wonderful to plant some mums. I love them and they look sooo pretty in the fall. Make a great addition to any home.
Malinka
The girls are right you will know the difference between the two and it isnt an unreasonable question to ask. You are a first time mom! When mine broke I was in labor already and dilated to a 3 and then it broke and for me it was a gushing experience. It was clear and went everywhere in the bed!!! Felt like pee running down my leg but you could just tell it was different.

girls thanks for your stories !!! what a relief!!!!!
Christine, I am glad that everything is fine, but I understand how scary it was for you! The good thing you saw your baby girl:)
Noodle, I am a lazy bum and a lil bit scared to schedule an appt because as I said lately I've being bad and can't stop eating sweets at all LOL
All i know the first test is 1 hour test, you drink glucose and they drow a blood in a hour after the drink. If someone fails this 1 hour test, they do another test every 3 hours and I think that 2nd test takes almost whole day.
Rikirees, I am glad that everything looks good for you. How is your cervix girl?
noodle - I hope your pregnancy is going well. I totally understand about the names. I was very close with my Italian grandmother which is why we gave our DD her name as her middle. She came over on the boat from Italy when she was just a girl so there is much history in her name. The glucose test is easy. They will have you drink a sugary soda like (mine was a very sugary orange soda) and they will check your blood 1 hour later. They will urge you to avoid sweets before you have the drink. You can eat normally but avoid the sugar. If they don't kike the results of how your body processed the sugar - they will order the Glucose Challenge 3hr test. Registering is fun. Babies R Us and Target are cool. We got our mums and pumpkins last weekend. I love this time of year. Hope you have fun.
TansRN - Thanks for the support! Yeah I thought is was weird too but my OB said since I had a baby already it sometimes happens in subsequent pregnancies. She could see the very purple vein and a little bit of blood coming out of it. She said it shouldn't be an issue but will check it again when I see her on Oct 10 and she will put a stich or two in it if it's still bleeding. I had a very peaceful and uneventful pregnancy with my DD so I figured that was very lucky. This fortunately is minor and things are good otherwise. I hope you are doing well with your pregnancy!
Malinka - Thanks for your support as well! Just a word of advice - once you schedule your Glucose test - try to cut back on the sweets a few days ahead but definitely nothing sweet the day of the test. If your body is processing the sugar correctly then it should be out of your system the day of the test. You will blow the test results if you eat sweets on the day of the test. Plus the funny thing is how your little ones will respond to the sugary drink. I hope you and your babies are doing great!
My2LNT - Glad you DH is doing well. Great to hear your little guy is doing great! Keep us posted with your results!
wannabeone - Hope you are doing well! Please keep us updated!
Rikirees - How are you doing? Looking forward to your updates!

Hey mommies! Sorry I've not posted in awhile. I've went back to working full time until Jan and barely make it home from work and to bed. The lady that took my position a year ago has quit, so I'm filling in interim until they find a replacement. Although I haven't posted, I have been reading your posts from time to time.
Things are going well here. Being past the half way mark feels great! I go back to my OB on Tues for my monthly check. I'm not sure what tests are scheduled next yet.
Question: do any of you get crampy when you're standing for awhile? I went to a fall festival last night and by the time I got to sit down, my left side was killing me. However, it went away when I rested.
Christine, that's good you're not bleeding from within. Baby weight can definitely take a toll on your body. Sounds like you're doing great.
Sounds like several of you have already started your nurseries. I feel so behind. With working the hours that I am, I don't have the energy to get started. I'm having to convert my home office to the nursery, therefore, moving my desk and pc to the dining room. No, not an ideal place but we're out of space. We've got to rip up carpet, paint and put in new closet doors. I have already purchased my bedding set. I'm using the ladybug and daisy theme.
Names yet anyone? I thought I saw where one of you was going to use Sydney for a girl. I loved that name. My DD's name is Sydni Faith. I spelled it alittle different to be different. For this baby, we can't decide. I sorta like Lydnsey but spell it Lyndsi.
Have a great weekend girls! Fall is coming.

Hi Jovigal - It's great to hear from you! Glad you are doing well. I worked full time up until I gave birth to our DD and I was quite tired at the end of the day. Your name choice sounds wonderful. And I love the sound of your nursery pattern!
DH and I are working on cleaning out our guest room and hope to start painting in the next couple of weeks. We have our pattern - it's called Lilac Garden by Kidsline - it's different shades of lavendar and purple with butterflies. The furniture will be delivered sometime in November. We hope to have it mostly ready before the baby since we have our DD to take care of as well and won't have as much free time to do it once the baby is here. We did not have our DD's room ready before she was born. It was already painted but needed new windows and a some other things.
My OB still wants to see me on Oct 10th to check things out and still wants my ultrasound done as well. She was happy with the results of yesterday's scan but did not address me being a couple of weeks ahead. I believe she wants to wait and see if everything evens out by then. Since our baby girl weighs 2lbs 2oz she is right on schedule. So I'm not concerned.
Well I hope you progress well and have a great Fall. Looking forward to hearing future updates! Take Care!
Christine
