Hi there, I have questions. I had my egg retrieval on 9/24 & my embryo transfer on 9/27. I had 4 eggs fertilize, and I did the bed rest thing this weekend. What kind of side effects are good/bad? Is some cramping a good or bad sign and why? This is my 2nd cycle, but I just need some reassurance. Thanks to all.

Dear Laura,
I had ER done on 9/19 and ET on 9/22. My RE told me that some cramping or spotting is fine, but anything "excessive", I should call them. Other than that, he really didn't tell me anything good/bad. I experienced mild cramping and "pinching" feeling on and off. Other than that, nothing remarkable. Oh, I noted a little bit of red blood when I wiped 4 days after the ET. It went away the same day. My RN thought that it might be implantation spotting, but it is still premature to tell.
Try to relax and take it easy.

Thanks for answering Debbie. It helps to know others go through the same things. I feel fine today, just light cramping off and on. I'm trying to relax and stay positive. Good luck to you and take care

i've been on this website for about a year now and i've seen all scenarios....people having all the symptoms under the sun and getting BFPs, people having all the symptoms and getting BFNs (me in my first cycle), people getting no symptoms and BFPs (me in my second cycle) and people getting no symptoms and getting BFNs. so what i'm saying is everyone is different and nobody can say "yup, that symptom is definitely a BFP/BFN".
as for your cramps, i have heard (and speak from experience) that you don't have to worry about them. like debbie said, unless they get excessive, i'd for now see them as a good sign! even bleeding can still lead to a BFP as long as it's not excessive!
sorry, that probably doesn't help much but just want to put your mind at rest that if you get cramping, spotting, etc, it doesn't mean it's necessarily bad!!!
best of luck!!!
