Possibility of having TWINS??

Post by Tris »

Hi! In case someone knows...I am BFP and had my first ultra sound - 5wks PG from my last period so around 3 wks from ET...and saw 2 sacs!! one is smaller than the other...What are the chances of it developing into twins??? No heartbeat yet as its too early...will check that in another 2 weeks so I cant wait to know the possibilities. Any advise or anyone experience having healthy Twins with a smaller sac during the first weeks? My hcg level 12 days from ET was 140 and then it jumped to 640 3 days later...didnt test today (day 21) during ultrasound. Thanks again!

Sounds like twins too me! I had my first beta 9dp5dt and it was 129. 2 days later it was 389. I had twin boys in February. Good luck and get your rest now because they are tons of work, but sooooo much fun!

I too had one small sac in the beginning and I am now 34 1/2 weeks pregnant with twin boys. So yes, it could very well be twins. Good Luck! marika

Similar thing happened to me....and it WAS twins! They were born in JUne...like one of the other girls said, it is amazingly hard work, but they are soooo worth it! Good luck!

Twins

Post by gori »

To all proud moms of twins: first of all heartiest congrats!! I had a question: we did ICSI & transferred 1 good quality embryo on day 3. My first beta hcg on 10dp3dt was 147 & 12dp3dt was 675 & 14dp3dt was 1270, which is certainly high since we transferred only 1 embryo. There are very low chances of embryo splitting during implantation but my nurse said it's possible. Just wondering if any of you had this experience or heard of something like this. If it does happen, is it identical [one sac] or fraternal [2 sacs]? My U/S is on Jan 8 but the suspense is too much. Also, did you experience any problems during pregnancy with twins or with the babies at all after birth. Really appreciate your thoughts on this
