Hi Ladies...

Hope you're all keeping well!

Firstly KD...I'm really sorry to hear about your BFN...it's such a crap thing to have to go through....but try and keep positive...you are so lucky to have a child to focus on already...you're luckier than some of us who are just trying for even one at this stage..I know it doesn't take wawy from your loss...but hopefully you feel blessed to have what you already have. I wish you all the best and we are here for you.

Next...do I detect another couple of BFP's????? Well Lisa it's seems it's a certainty...congratulations!!! I am so happy for you! And Donnell...well you have given me hope...having been told that my embryo was good/fair quality myself I can only hope that I too get a positive..trying to stay positive...but it's not always easy! Hoping for a strong BFP for you on Tuesday.

Carolinagirl...6/11 is a good fert rate...my clinic expect 50% to fertilise..besides as they keep saying it only takes one right!!! Keep up the PMA...when do you hope to go for ET?

Christie, Donna...how is your 2ww going? What's your test dates? Mine is 10th Oct..in the meantime I'm praying like crazy!

Michelle...hope your US goes well today...I'm not certain about the cycle...but mine too was a bit messed up with all the drugs. What i do know is that it is very normal to feel some anxiety...keep up the PMA...the power of the mind is the strongest thing we have!

Love...when is ER planned?

To anyone I have missed...sorry...sending you lots of baby dust!

As for me, none of the other embies made it past day6 and therefore we have nothing to freeze. I feel quite sad about that but what can you do...it seems the best two were put back in but even they are not brilliant quality...all I am counting on now is keeping positive and the powers beyond science...afterall you hear of so many women who have fair quality embies and succeed in preg while others who have perfect embies don't make it...I just hope and pray my little embies are fighting hard to survive...sending them positive thoughts all the time! Sorry if I osund a bit down...I am TRYING so hard to stay positive...if anyone has any stories of hope please share! :)

Hope you all have a good day..it's a bit of a long post!!!

Lisa- Congratulations. That is so great. Now, I'm waiting to see who will have twins.

Nerms- I'm sorry you didn't have any to freeze. I don't even know if they were able to freeze any of ours. They told me on day 3 we had 2, but I wasn't sure how long they wait to freeze them. I'm going to call today to see what happened.

Melanie- Good luck at the ET. I remember having to pee a lot after the ER. If I didn't, then my bladder pressed on my ovaries and it hurt. I'm still peeing a lot, because I'm drinking a lot of water. We better get used to it, right?

Thanks so much for the words of confidence. We went for u/s and bloodwork this morning and it seems we only have 3 per side at this point. My RE sounded dissapointed, he thought we would see more for my age, he did try and reassure me by saying it only takes 1 good one but, I can't help but feel a little down. I was really hoping to have lots and have some to freeze for future use. He did say it's possible that it is so early (only day 2 of stimming) that a few more show up as we progress. I'm so fustrated with myself if I would have known that all those years of smoking affected my eggs I would have quit many years ago. :( OH well, nothing I can do now but do the best I can at keeping the PMA.

Thanks for all the support it's definatley nice to hear so many words of encouragement.

Congrats on all the BFP's

Michele.

Don't stress about this. I only had 9 follicles and they retreived 8 eggs and I had 4 good embryos. If you are only on day 2 of stimming, then you may have more popup, like the dr. said. I didn't get an u/s until my 7th day of stimming, so it might just be too early. I'm sure everything will be fine.

Christie,

Thanks it's nice to hear some positive words of encouragement. Such an overwhelming process all the what if's? I think I would worry myself sick if it wasn't for this board. We are continuing with the Lupron and 375 of Gonal F until we have the next u/s on Thursday. You have no idea what a relief it is to have you ladies to share this experience with.

Thanks again,

Michele

Michele,

Trust me. I was a nervous wreck the entire time I went through this. They had to increase my meds a couple of times, because my estradiol was too low. I thought for sure they were going to cancel my cycle. Exactly the opposite happened. They told me to give myself the trigger shot after 10 days of stimming. So, all that worrying for nothing. I never even found out how many follicles I had until my 10th day of stimming. They never told me anything. Now, I know why. They don't want us overanalyzing everything. You need to try to relax, even though it's impossible and see what happens. You really don't have any control over anything. I think that's the worst part. I'm sure you'll be doing your trigger shot in another week or so. Good luck!

Hi Michelle...Just thought I would let you know that in my first cycle I too didn't stim so well intially...but you know day 2 is just far too early...there may be some smaller ones that will grow well. They increased my meds at day 7...i don't think you have anything to worry about...it's just too early..try not to stress!

Grow follies grow! : )

Hello,
This two week wait is like waiting two years. LOL! I just spoke to my embryologist and 5 of my embryos made it to blast, so we have 5 babies frozen! Yippeee! He told me again that my embryo's are excellent quality. He said he really expects me to get that BPF!

I really hope that I am pregnant. I bought lots of HPT's, and I will be testing, testing, and testing!! I know the HCG shot is out of my body.

How soon did you get an HPT +? anyone? anyone?

I am back at work today, and boy do I wish I was on bed rest still! Hehehe!!

I am seeing lots of BFP's!!!

TTYL,

Donna

Holy Cow!!!! Congratulations girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad to see all the progress!!!!

For those who were not as fortunate, my heart goes out to you and your DH's.

I do believe everything happens for a reason - and in our case (DH and ME) we are very fortunate to have this issue of IVF. If we didn't have IVF and the battery of tests which go along with it - we both could have had cancer in about a year (I had some rapidly progressing abnormal cells).
This whole thing even brough us closer as we found out we are both going through some issues together (DH has cyst on testicle). We would have never investigated his issues further. The first urologist he saw due to abnormal semen analysis by general practitioner said there is nothing he sees wrong and we just have to do IVF - so we did! Thank god they stopped the IVF cycle for me b/c the abnormal cells progressed to another stage within one month (this usually takes years to occur). It also made me reevaluate why we never persued "why" DH has a low count. This is where I have been...

I wish the best for all of you!!!! This WILL happen for us girls, and when there is a ripple in the water... it's usually for a good reason.

STICKY BABY DUST ALL OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XOXOXOXOXO

Ingrid,
Wow. Everything really does happen for a reason. I wish you both a speedy recovery. My DH has been checked out by a urologist, but I'm still not convinced there is nothing wrong with him. Well, besides his low sperm count. Always trust your instincts. Does this mean that his sperm count will go up, once his cyst is gone?

Donna,
This 2WW is killing me too. How do you know the hcg is out of your body? Do you take an hpt and if it's negative, then it's out? Maybe I'll do that. I really want to do an hpt next Wed. because DH will be home from work that day. My blood test is next Fri. I really don't want to call him at work with the news and there's no way I'll be able to keep it in all day. I don't know why my clinic does the blood test so late compared to other clinics. It's so frustrating. Oh well. Hopefully, this week flies by.

Today is 4 days past 3 day transfer and I am cramping and having pinching pains in my lower front. I haven't had this cramping since the transfer. Can this be implantation? Any advice is greatly appreciated!! There is no spotting!!

Ingrid, are u going to do another ivf cycle? I am sorry about your situation. God has a plan for all of us!

Hi girls ~

Ingrid ~ Wow - I am so happy you share with us. I know you didn't want to, but I think that we are all here for each other now - no matter what. Lots of love to you and your hubby. I will be praying for a speedy recovery.

Donna ~ Pinching and cramping is a wonderful sign. I would say that things are really cooking in there and looking good. Are you going to test? I tested daily and got a + HPT on 9dp4dt (13dpo) however as you will read below - that isn't necessarily good. Usually I get a + at about 10dpo.

Christie ~ I tested obsessively. But I am a POAS addict. How many days past are you now?

Nerms ~ How are you doing lady? Are you going to test too? I can't remember who is and who is holding out.

Melanie ~ Good luck on transfer tomorrow. I am so excited for you.

Lisa ~ Your numbers sound wonderful. You must be so excited.

Love ~ How are you holding out? Are you feeling OK?

Sorry girls if I missed some of you....here is my update. I am 10dp4dt (technically 14dpo) and my first beta was only 16.5. The RE nurse was very encouraged with that number and neither am I. I think I wrote in the past I get PG very easily, but don't manage to make it very far. I will have another draw on Wed and that should tell me something. For now, I will continue the stinkin' progesterone shots - (my butt is getting sore and hard knots are forming) which I wouldn't complain about if this pregnancy makes it. I will keep you all posted, but if my numbers don't look good Wed, I am quitting my shots and hoping my numbers drop quickly so I can still try to do FET in Nov. See ladies....I know my body.

Have a good evening - lots of sticky wonderful baby dust for all of you!

Donnell
