Thanks Girls...

Post by albany07 »

Thanks Girls!!! I know, I know - it is not that I didn't want to share, I was not ready and wanted to get through the ER to ET hump, so that nobody would worry. I took care of everything and now am able to move on and plan for a November cycle. I am trying to find out my exact schedule from my RE's office, but have not received a call back yet. Thank you all again for the kind words and thoughts.

Donnell - 16.5 is not bad, I know they look for numbers to double. As long as that happens all is good... I am hopeful.

Donna don't worry - if you look through other boards on 2ww, they mention similar effects. I have also tracked some profiles for bfp's or bfn's. Those signs usually lead to BFP. Some even experience spotting right before the beta and get bfp. That is due to implantation bleeding.

Christie - we are only monitoring the cyst for now, and probably going to take care of the vericocele via in office procedure. There is a chance that won't make a difference. That is why we are going the IVF route for now. Never know, in the future we may get lucky!! The increase in sperm count is not reflected for 3 months to 1 year after the procedure - we don't think we want to risk it...

Thanks for being there!!! All your girls really mean a lot!

XXXXX

Ingrid,
Good luck with everything. I hope you are able to start your cycle soon.

I had my ER on 9/24 and ET on 9/27. So, does that make me 8dp3dt (11dpo)? I have no idea how to figure that out. I keep going back and forth on the hpt thing. One minute I'm ready to go buy a bunch. The next minute, I feel like I'll jinx it, if I do. I don't know what I'll end up doing.

Thanks,
Christie

Ok. I just did the math again, and that made no sense. I'm 5dp3dt or 8dpo, right? That would make more sense.

Hi Carolinagirl..congrats on ET....great that you have some to freeze too...hope your embies snuggle right in. My doc gave me a useful tip on visual imagery...she tols me to imagine the embies are snuggling into a thick pile carpet...i thought that was quite nice! : ) BTW 8 cell gd1 is the best rating you can get...so i'd be happy happy happy :D

Ingrid...ws inspired by your positive attitude..I guess everything does happen for a reason. Wishing you and DH a very speedy recovery!

2ww is driving me crazy!!! :!: :!: Went back to work today.....and i'm knackered!

Hi to everyone..hope youre all well...Donnell anymore news from your RE...hope the numbers go up...weds i think isn't it??

Donnell,
I'm sorry you didn't get better news. You never know though. Your numbers might be better with the next test. The nurse said that's why they don't test until 16 days after ET. She said if I came in a couple days earlier, then my #'s might be low and then I would be worried and they would make me come back 2 days later anyways. I'm still praying that you have a BFP!

Donna,
That's great news about how many they froze. I called to double-check today and we had 2 frozen for sure. So, that was good news. I thought they might not have made it. I also started having some cramping this afternoon. Although, it could all be in my head. Who knows?

Kim,
I had blood work on day 5 of stimming and then bw/us on day 7. Then, I went back on day 10 for bw/us. I didn't find out how many follicles I had until day 10, because I never asked. They only tell you if you ask at my clinic. I was more worried, because they kept increasing my meds. It freaked me out. After everything, I realized I was stressed for no reason at all. Everything worked out great in the end. Please try not to stress. We are here if you need us. I know I asked a million questions myself.

Melanie,
That is great news. You had excellent quality embryos. 4 frozen is a great # too. The cramping is totally normal. I had needle-like pains for a couple days too. Good luck. I'm crossing my fingers for all of us who still need to test. The 2ww is driving me crazy too. I can't stop thinking about it. I want to do hpts so bad, but I think I will try not to. We'll see what happens next week. DH is out of town for 5 days next week. He gets back on Wed. and I test on Fri. I hope I don't breakdown and do one while he is gone.

Hey everyone,
Just had my second HCG test today, first number was 240 -- today was 450. So far everything looks good. Another bt on Thursday and u/s on Monday. Might be able to tell how many are in there.

Only wish it was my DH's material instead of a donor. He's being so strong and good natured during all of this but I know he still wishes that he could have truly been apart of the "making of". He's really hoping for twin girls, mainly because he'd been wanting girls for a long time but i know he'd like it as well since the resemblance would be closer to me and no one would question or expect the girls to look like him much.

Sorry for getting too deep.

Hope everyone is well and managing through all those 2ww's!!!

Love and baby dust to all.

I took an HPT today, 6 days past 3 day transfer, and its negative. Do you think this is accurate? I am so depressed today! I really want the BFP!!

Have any of you taken an HPT???

Thank you for listening!!!

Lisa,
That is great news that your bw doubled. Good sign. I can only imagine how your dh must feel. What if you had adopted, though? At least this baby is half yours, right? You have to look at the positives.

Donna,
This is exactly why I haven't taken an hpt. It's too early. The baby may not have implanted yet. You are only going to get yourself stressed out. Wait a few more days and then try again, if you really want to test. I can't handle getting a BFN right now, so I'm going to try to wait until the blood test. I figure there is a reason, they make us wait so long to test. We'll see how I do next week. Just remember that lots of women will get a negative on the hpt, but a positive on the blood work.

Hi Donna, I agree w/Christie, I think it was too early, I had my first bloodtest 8 days past transfer and that seemed pretty early to me but try waiting a couple days and it might be more accurate. I couldn't bring myself to test on a hpt because I had so many negatives throughout the years I knew I didn't want to get myself worked up if it came up BFN. I'll keep praying you see that BFP soon!

Lisa, That' is great that you are positive! I agree with Christie there too, you both will have your little angel from the very start of life and both get to experience the birth, that most likely wouldn't happen with an adoption. Keep thinking of the positives and of holding that little bundle of joy!

Nerms and Melanie, Good luck on the 2ww, it sure is torture!

Ingrid. SO great to hear from you! I'm glad you both were able to find that information and concentrate on getting yourselves well. I'm sending you lots of baby vibes for your future IVF!

Kim, good luck with the rest of your stimming!

As for me, I am waiting for my first scan after my BFP. I'm still a little worrysome as I really don't have symptoms but I think everything will be fine...I'm thinking they may let me know if there is one or two in there. I think seeing that scan will make it all the more real for me..sometimes I still can't believe it!

for anyone I missed, I am sending you babydust and praying for BFP's!!! :D I'm still keeping track of all you girls. your the best :D

HI Ladies,

Donna- I agree with everyone else it's to early to rely on a HPT don't give up yet. Sending you lots of baby dust!!! BFP!!!

Lisa- That's great news!! He will forget all about the donor once this all sets in. When he gets to see and feel the baby move. Good Luck to you!!

Nerms and Melanie- Praying for BFP's for both of you!!!!

Ingrid- wishing you and your DH the very best!!

Kim-good luck stimming. Can't wait for update!

Keddie-Good luck with that scan it's so exciting to see that little life.

I'm anxiousley waiting for my second u/s tommorrow. Hoping for more than 6 follies shown in the previous u/s. I'm definatey feeling something going on in there not sure if it's the 6 growing larger or more showing up :D . Trying to keep up the PMA and just hoping for good quality eggs at this point.

Good luck and BFP's to anyone I missed.

Kelly,
When is your u/s? I'm dying to know how many are in there too. That's great that you don't have any symptoms, even though it would make you feel better feeling something.

Michele,
Good luck at your u/s today. Let us know how it goes.

I'm just waiting and waiting and waiting.

Well, went in for second u/s and b/w today. Not great news for me, still only have 6 follies and actually 1 of them is so small it's doubtfull anything will come of it. Other bad news is we have one that has grown to 18 1/2 while the others are still lagging behind at 12 1/2's and 10. :( The nurse tells me this isn't good if we wait to long the large one will be overdone. So now I wait again, the RE will review my b/w today and decide from there what course of action to take. The nurse expects my estradol level to be high since one follie has grown so large. On the good side they say my lining is perfect at 11.

Praying for the one good one that sticks!

Lots of luck to you all!!!
