Hi girlies

Jen -
I would drop Valerie an email now introducing yourself then contact her when you have a date for ET. She is really flexible though and will go with the flow. When she knows i have ET, she pencils me in then knows there can be delays etc at IM so just tells you to come back when you are finished. I was an hour early last time but she texted me and said to come and lie down in her other room, she then went between me and another client, was great.

Gill - Hope you are kicking some ass at IM and get an email soon Jen's right, email your Dr and the translators.

Kim - Good luck for your scan

Lucy - Hope your getting all the info you need about your first appointment.

JB - I am so pleased that you are coming off the bcp. You have had such a long wait. Sure that they have been lining up an exceptional donor for you babe. You sound so full of PMA which is awesome. It is good that you have some time without clients so that you can really chill out before you go to Big B

Gill - glad that you have a plan to call them to get answers. Know that you really want to find out all about the embryo adoption programme & they should answer all your questions after all the money/time/effort that you ahve spent with them. Keep mailing and then call. So hope that they will have answers for you

Jen1d - another day passed. Hello mag tomorrow so that should pass tomorrow. Hope that the sun carries on shining so you can sit outside. I love your ticker too. Makes me think of the dummies from the jar that we all collected just like JB said

Kim - very best of luck for your scan on Thursday. Hope that the lining is nice and thick

Well speech went pretty well - given that there were 120 accountants in front of me!!!! Then i turned my Blackberry back on. Heading down to the tube at Tottenham Court Road. Saw an e-mail from IM. Was really surprised as they let me know yesterday that all was well and I was right to start the bcps on Saturday. Was not at all sure why there were e-mailing me............

THEY HAVE A DONOR FOR US! Was in tears going down the escalator. How amazing is that.

So I am on bcp until 23rd October. They said that AF will come 2/3 days later and then I can start on the patches and to book scan 7-9 days later.

I am gobsmacked that it happened so quickly for us. I guess that we were very relaxed about matching any attributes and blood group and said that we were not bothered at all - that we just want the chance to have a family. May be that speeded up the process???

So I shall go change my ticker. Just got back from acupuncture and sorted out next couple of sessions to fit with my next bleed and build up of the lining.

Gill12 Rec'd an e-mail today their 1st availibility for an appointment is @ end Novemeber as the doctors agenda is full until then. Feel really nervous now, its all so much to take in, but going to e-mail them back tonight with dates.

Gill I would be really grateful when you receive your list of questions back, would you mind sharing them. This would really help.

Can I just ask that when you have your 1st appointment with IM are dates worked out as to when the ET could take place appx.

As per Anna, Jen1d and Gills cycles If all goes well with donor etc 12- 14 wks after appointment is ET ...this is only approx...i had my appointment 9 wks ago and am only going to start patches soon...ET should be 3-4 wks from now if all goes ok with donor x x so total 13-14 wks for me x x

Carolyn will be 5 wks since apointment to start patches then 2-4 wks on them before et so hers will be 9 wks at the most from appointment to ET... ( is that carolyn ????)

so everyone is differnent...

Hi Lucy

If it like me then I would expect at your 1st appointment, they will either determine whether there are any extra tests you need or you will be able to start bcp's on the 1st day of your next AF.

Then it depends how long it takes them to get a donor lined up. They say 3-6 weeks on the bcps. I have been lucky. JB had to brave over 5 weeks on the bcps. Then at that point, it is about 2 weeks on the patches and then it will be ET. They will not tell us that until very close to the day as it depends on how each donor stimmies.

Hope that helps. End November probably seems a long way away. I had to wait more than 7 weeks for our 1st appointment but it has moved faster since then.

I had to go back to IM for a doppler and hysteroscopy after my first appointment to see if there was a reason my two previous ed tmts in this country hadn't worked, but thankfully everything was ok. I had to do a dummy cycle before going for the tests so I had to put the patches on and use the pessaries, it delayed tmt by about 3 weeks but I was glad I had them done to make sure everything was ok. Hopefully they wont think you need to have them done as it does mean an extra trip and extra ££'s.
Im not sure the list of questions I have emailed would be helpful to you as they are all questions about the embryo donation programme. Its not just my shitty eggs but dh's shitty sperm too! so we are thinking of having a donor embryo this time as its cheaper than going through a full tmt using donor eggs and sperm.

And hello to everyone else that I've missed! Hope all is well with everyone.

Well, today I went in for my scan (day 7 of my cycle). I am right on track - I usually end up with 4 or 5 follicles on my day 7 scan and then 10-12 on my day 12 scan. So, today I had 6 which were all about the same size. I am very excited! After hearing about my 11.3 FSH I am relieved to see that I am still producing eggs. I go back on Saturday to see what the next count is.
We've done our donor sperm selection so hopefully the frostie ones are waiting at the clinic for us. It looks like my ER date is going to be sometime late next week - maybe Oct 11 or 12 with ET 3 and 5 days after that - they are going a double transfer (2 days apart from one another). So, hopefully that works for us!

I made a long list of questions that I asked at my 1st appointment in Barcelona. I also typed up all the answers that they gave me because I am like that!!!! It is all in a word document but runs to 4 pages!! They may help you???
