My 1st IVF - Bleeding continues while on birth control pills

Hello everyone, I am in the first ivf cycle and have been taking birth control pills for about 2 weeks now. I am about to start injections in a week. Ever since I started taking pills, I have been bleeding (sometimes heavily), which I was told normal. Can anyone please tell me how long this bleeding lasts? I have been receiving an acupuncture treatment but I can't go back to my chinese doctor unless I stop bleeding.... Any advise will be appreciated.

Dear Daisy,
I don't have advise, but I can share my experience with you. I had constant spotting while on BCP (no heavy bleeding though). but the spotting stopped in a day or two after I started Lupron injections. So hopefully your bleeding will stop at that time for you, too. Good luck!

Same here--spotted or bleed for almost my entire time on bcp--which i think was 5 weeks. THen shortly after i started the lupron it finally quit--and did bleed again for 9 months. : ) Good luck. bridget

I am having the same problem-period like bleeding since I started bcp. It has been 2 weeks and I still have about a week and a half before stims.....yuck. I hate this. I was told it was normal too.

Thank you for your responses, guys! I hope this annoying bleeding stops once I start lupron injections...
