Bleeding in early pregnancy?

Post by lovespugs »

Hi guys...
I need your assistance here. At 10dp5dt I did a BETA, and it came back with 23.8. The IVF nurse basically stated that my numbers need to double within 48 hours. Well, that day (monday) I started my period. It was a normal period-red blood, some clotting, etc. I called and she recc. I continue progesterone and I have a 50/50 chance. I went back in today at 12dp5dt, and my BETA doubled and is at 50. Do you think I could still lose the pregnancy, or has anyone been in this situation and gone on to deliver a healthy baby?
Any advice would be great! I go back in 2 days to make sure my HCG is doubling....
Thank you...

I dont know if this helps but I bled just before the blood test and exactly during the time when my period was suppose to come..I actually worried about that but my hcg kept doubling at a fast rate from 140 to 640, etc. until I got a positive in between. Now Im 6 weeks pregnant and bled for 9 days!!! (the bleeding has stopped since) more than my normal period...So yeah I think its very normal to bleed and in fact could be a sign of your embies attaching...My friend also got her period, as in heavy bleeding for many days, and is now 6 months pg....You should always check with your doc though but not to worry so much...especially for multiples they say bleeding is normal...many girls in this site also had bleeding and delivered healthy babies :) Good Luck!
