Woodcliff,

I would assume every Dr. does things diffrent. My Ob also has alot of multiples under her belt as she works very closely with my Re Dr. she must have 60 picts on her wall. However she is making me go to the high risk Dr as well and my Re is also keeping tabs on me from what i have heard from the nurse at my Ob office. I went for the genetic counceling as well that was nothing though just 1 hour of talking about chromosonal issues ......... I am already very familiar with all that stuff I worked in a Ob office as well as i have a very close friend with a challanged child.... I think they just want to prep you for the possibility of a issue being that i am 35 and twins...... The rate does increase with twins..... I know you are also doing the ultra scan to measure the babys neck fold. who is doing the scan? My high risk Dr. does it himself. Ok clothing I just went to burlington and bought 2 shirts and 2 running suits nice ones at that very reasonable...... the pants were 9 bucks on sale and the running jackets one was 12.99 and the other 14.00 not bad at all........ If you have that store near you it is worth a shot. And i also went to old navy. i cant even fit into my old sweat pants they are tooo tight on my belly.,. i have gained 3 1/2 pounds so far but my whold body has changed.

Love to all....Lisa

Hello Ladies I am so glad to hear everyone is doing well sounds like you are all progressing nicely. Vlada glad to hear that nasty clot is dissapating such a relief. welcome new girls still can't believe the amount of twins coming in so exciting. Well I had some very severe pain around my left ovary yesterday actually woke me up out of a dead sleep at 4:30 so went to the OB yesterday instead of today for my follow-up after last week. Remaining twin is doing great! The other lost 2 days growth and still no HB so it is definately gone I wish it would reabsorb very sad to see it in there. Doctor said I must have over done it this weekend even through really didn't do much thinks the pain is ligament strain maybe from laundry, lifting so DH is on the war path can't do anything. hard to chat latley very busy with work but again glad to hear you are all doing so well check in again soon.

Hi everyone, I've not been around much recently, but have popped on now and then to see how you are all doing. :D

Vlada and Rebeeca, so pleased things have improved for you both at the moment.

Cocoa, I amstill on baby aspirin, my consultant told metostay on it all the way throught the pregnancy.

Ali, pleased your baby is doing good, you've had a hard time, and I'm glad you are okay

I had my 1st appointment with the midwife last Thursday....so I changed all of my clients appointments, but when I got to the surgery, they didn't have me booked in! I was abit irritated at first, buy hey, mistakes and human error are just one of those things...right! :?

Anyway, I asked to see the midwife for a few minutes as I was concerned about my bleeding. SO she referred me to the ante natal clinic for a EPOC scan the following day....somore clients appointments moved about.....And would youbelieve it....when I got there they didn't have me booked in!!!!!

Now perhaps this is a sign!!! Maybe I should be just going into a field somewhere or find astable to give birth in. Luckily, they had time to do a scan anyway...and thankfully everything is just fine....they think the bleeding is the 2nd (empty) sac coming away.

So next (first) appointment with the midwife isnow 17th October....when I will finally be in that 2nd trimester....can't wait!

Re: Doppler, I have a little one at work to measure the pulse in the foot, so I am going to give it a try to see if it will pick anything up.

Clothing, is now getting a bit tight, I haven't bought any new clothes yet, but I know its not baby weight I've put on at the moment, its pizza weight, and good old english fried breakfasts! We've had visitors and I just can't stop eating!!!!!

A friend of mine has been going through the adoption process over the last couple of years, and has finally been offered a little boy, I am so pleased for her, she has almost been a cycle buddy (with a difference), so if she decides this little boy is right for her, she will be a mummy by christmas, that will be so wonderful! :D

Good morning!
I am 7 weeks today & counting down the days until we tell our families. We decided to wait until 12 weeks and my husbands b-day is the week after that, so I agreed to wait until then. He is so cute and wants to tell our families that the baby is his b-day present! Every time I talk to my parents and they ask how I am doing or what is new with me, I want to scream - I'm pregnant! Instead, I just say that nothing is new. :-) I go for my last visit with my RE next Monday. I will be almost 8 weeks. My insurance will not let him see me after he sees a HB. We did see one last week, but he said he wouldn't tell if I didn' tell. That allows us one more visit with him!
I need ne jeans so bad! Mine are all sooo tight! I was walking and biking all summer, until I went for egg retrieval and I was told no exercise. I was told only a little walking now as well. :-( I have not gotten on the scale, because I don't want to know!!!!
Anyway, I just thought I would say hi! I love reading all of your posts! You girls are awesome! You are almost all ahead of me, so I get to learn what to expect through you!
Woodcliff, I think I read that you are staying on Progesterone shots until 12 weeks. Is that right? My RE wants to get me off of them. He said by 8 or 9 weeks, the baby is making enough. I thought I read that your RE said that did not happen until 12 weeks. As much as I hate the shots, I want to do everuything to make this preg. stick! I also have not had my levels checked since my 5 week mark. I am going to ask for a blood draw on Monday. I was just interested in what your dr or anone else's dr said about this.
Thanks!!!!
:-) Michelle

Hi Girls...

All the talk about hormones I just have to chime in... My RE has taken me off the delestrogen completely - no more del shots... Don't know if I need it or not but I suppose my REs know what they're doing. They are also reducing my prog starting this week. I was suppose to reduce my 1cc/day of PIO shots to 1/2cc/day BUT my ob/gyn does not want me off iof prog AT ALL and prescribed prometrium starting now to the end of my preg. In fact she was surprised that the REs did not have me on Prometrium along with the PIO shots. Anybody? What about you ladies?

OK, talk about weight. I too was an avid workout-aholoic but it ended on ET day and BOY do I have a barge.. Uh, I mean bulge :-) I don't think I'll be able to keep this to myself for much longer. The ladies at work I amsure are wondering how/why I am getting so fat. I am soooooo sick and it gets worse starting at about 2pm. I got a craving for broccoli tonight as well as baked beans so of course I ate both and then had chocolate fat=free ice cream but all of it does NOTHING to cure the nausea pain.

WC - I have my NT testing next Wed too - the 10th at 11am. I heard it takes a couple of hours? Is that right? Anybody?

OK, I'm feeling crappy so going to say bye but first say HI to Aliann, Lisapa, WC, Babyb, rebecca, robinson, christin, sciteacher, Vlada. MandyJ, Kipatte and anyone I may have missed (sorry :-()

Love to all of you!!!

Hi Ladies!

Good luck on your trip Woodcliff! I'm sure all the family will be over the moon when you tell them!!

I went back to the hospital yesterday regarding my little episode last week with the breathing and they did some tests. The ruled out a hyper active thyroid, so good news there. Amazingly they haven't done an iron test up until now, even in spite of me telling them I'm slightly anaemic and usually take iron tablets around my period. They are doing tests now but the results will take a few days (the joys of the UK health system).

I'm having the first appointment with the midwife on Saturday and I think she'll do a blood test for all that aswell, so hopefully I just need to watch my iron levels.

I also fluttered my eyelashes a little at the doc and he signed me off work for another week aswell! I am honestly wiped out and my job is quite difficult and stressful (I'm a sheltered housing officer checking up on elderly folk and responding to emergency calls) so I don't feel too giulty.

I'm just all relax relax relax at the moment, which I'm sure is great for these crucial few weeks.

Regarding shots...I was just put on progestorone gel by my IVF clinic, and they haven't been monitoring it at all. I need to use it every day vaginally. I've been signed out of the clinic now and am part of the normal ante-natal system, but the clinic gave me enough gel and told me to carry on every day until week 12, and then in week 13 just use it every other day for a fwe days and then stop altogether. I guess you have to ween your body off it.

I felt a weird sensation in my belly last night....wondered if it was the little ones wriggling around. Anyone else had any feeling like that?

Anyway...I'm off to watch some daytime TV!

Love to all,

Hayley xx

Woodcliff: Good luck telling the family. I'm sure they will be very excited for you. On the one hand, I'm nervous about breaking the news to the public because I just started a new job (that I cannot lose!) in July. I won't have been at the company for a year before my leave so I don't have job protection. I need to kick ass these next 7 or so months so they work with me when I go on my leave. On the other hand, I can't wait to shout out to the world that I'm prego. On the issue of being testy -- I have been going through this too lately. I'm very on edge and I even snapped at my assistant (made me feel bad). Must be all the damn hormones.

I'm nearing my 6 week mark I think (US in a couple of days!). Finally find out how many babies I have inside of me. Curiosity is killing me. I'm already blowing up (and I've been on a strict diet of no sugar and no simple carbs and no caffeine) for a month! In my first pregnancy, I didn't show a thing until 5 months. Here at 5 plus weeks my DH can see the pootch. I think I'm gonna look like a house this time around.

Cocoa -- laughing about your cravings. No cravings for me yet (I didn't really have them with my DD either), but I am always thirsty and feeling dehydrated. More than this, I'm FN TIRED! I kept trying to read an agreement at the office today and was doing the head drop, eyes droop dance. As I recall, NT didn't take a couple of hours. Amnio is what took some time. Ask if they will copy your US for you on a disk (sometimes they use 3D and 4D scans early on). Whenever I got scared on my first pregnancy, I just watched them for comfort.

OK, I'm rambling now. Hi to Robinsonpr, Aliann, Sciteacher, LisaPa, Mandy, who else am I missing? Hope you are all well.

Hi Babyb! I can't wait to hear all about your first scan!!! Bound to be multiples the amount of them on this board!

Talking about cravings I just HAD to have a McDonalds cheeseburger at 10.30PM last night. My DH had been out teaching his salsa class so I got him to pick me one up on the way home! Heheh after I'd eaten it I wished I'd asked him to get 2!!

Still all seeming well here apart from a SEVERE pain in my lower back all day yesterday. In the end I had to take a paracetamol to get a bit of relief (that's ok isn't it!?).

I've got a real "is it still in there?" worry on at the moment. I'm still really sick/tired etc but I'd feel much better if I could see them again. We've only had the one scan at 7 weeks and they were so tiny with little heartbeats. My next scan isn't until 13 weeks!!!! So still absolutely ages to wait....

Love to all,

Hayley xx
