2ww side effects(please read)

Hi,
Iam in the 2ww. Ist ivf.3 day transfer on sep 20th. 2 embies. Everything was ok. But then after my er the following day my stomach got upset and loose stools .I thought it was due to the antibiotics taken after er. Et went on well with 2 1st grade 8 cell embies.
so for the past 4 days i have stomach upset some cramps on and off and watery loose stools (sorry for detailed information). I dont have ohss
I did a search to see if someone had similar kind of problemt but couldnt find one. I called my nurse two days back she said it could side of the meds u re taking.
Will it get better?
Just want to know if someone has undergone this situation. Please help me. Iam worried whether this affect the preganancy.

Don;t worry. It's probably the anibiotics. I had those symptoms for my first 2 ivfs, but after that I no longer reacted to the antibiotics. I probably built up a tolerance from so many freakin procedures where I had to take them. lol. Anyway, it's not uncommon.

Various kinds of stomach upset are very common, I think. I had diarrhea for 2 of the IVF's & constipation for the FET's. Between the hormones, antibiotics, & ET, something's bound to upset your stomach. Try to not stress about it, drink plenty of fluids & take care of yourself. I found that fiber capsules help too. It's counter-intuitive to take fiber when you have diarrhea but it helps to bulk up your stools. Those embies are either going to attach or not. You're not going to do anything "wrong" at this point. It sounds like you have a good chance!

I had loose stool too and I'm BFP (same thing with my prior natural pregnancy). No bleeding and some, but really not much, cramping. Keep up the PMA and good luck to you.

babyb,Thanks for the support. My hearty Congrats on ur beta.
2ww is killing. Iam already acting like a preganant women like walking slowly and resting most of the time. Actually iam not sharing these with my close friends too , ofcourse they are not fertilily challenged. I really love this forum, even though i dont write much, i read everything, a good supportive friendly forum.
me, ttc for more than 4 years , then ist ivf canceled changed to iui poor response to stims . so officialy this is my first ivf/icsi. My beta is on oct 5th

I had consipation after ET and still seem to have it! I don't know what's up with that but I'm read to be regular again!

I too have a my beta on 10/5 - praying for a miracle for both of us and others! Great to know we are almost half way through the 2ww period! So far a feel nothing which is a bit unerving, but I guess it's okay since seems to be such variety of responses...

Hi rudy,
My prayers for ur positive beta. oh 2ww this is really a killing part. As u said we are half way. each day i feel different. i too dont have any symptoms , just some breast sore and mild cramping in lower left abdamon. it should be side effect of the progestrone , sometimes i feel my af is comming very scared. Other than than i dont feel anything.
But iam trying to stay positive. Iam not going to do the hpt(its evil). My dh is very much against the hpt.
Iam sending tons of baby dust to u.
Its good to see someone on the same track.

Thanks for encouragement - i'm trying to stay positive myself...really only 4 more days... so you're going to the the hpt? I've never had any success with them so I think I'm going to wait - but good luck to you!! Wishing you/us both success - keep me posted! Praying for miracles! R

My Beta is tomorrow and all of the sudden I'm having complete diarrhea (sorry for details) and I'm no longer sore...has anyone else with BPP experienced this or if not, I should know this too - thanks!

Rudy, on my 2ww I had some aweful gas pains, I mean bad and some in the middle of the night, I could barely move but didn't have the other problem. It very well could be nerves too, I know sometimes I get that when I'm too anxious or nervous. hang in there!

I think you are right - it could be from nerves and or my DH is fighting stomach bug and maybe I picked it up - this just occurred to me...or actually he pointed it out to me. I really am a bit out of it.

Thanks! I'm wishing you the best and hoping to see a BFP from you! I look forward to hearing from you soon! This site has helped me so much get thru this process, if only I knew it existed before we did the IVF and did all of our timed intercourse cycles and IUI!!
