Just a quick hello to everyone!

I'm Lisa, married and we have been trying for a family for 2 years.
We are under the care of St Albans fertility clinic, which has been a journey already. I've had three failed cycles of clomid, a laparoscopy which found endimetriosis, which has been treated.

The next step is assisted conception, which I'm really confused and scared about

Is anyone at that stage? And what are the first steps of treatment with IVF. I have no idea abour waiting lists in our health authority and are contemplating adoption, but can't go for both.

Hi Lisa,

I hear you about the insurance coverage, you definately need to check that out. Our insurance didn't cover anything either, we went thru several cycles of trying with clomid with our regular obgyn and then she finally transferred us to a specialist.

We have been with her for almost 3 years... we did several cycles of injections which seemed to be working and then timed intercourse but it wasn't working then we tried one IUI that failed.. then we took almost a year off to save for Invitro...it was our last attempt at a family of our own before going on to look into adoption. Luckly our first attempt with IVF worked but I'm right now I"m only 5 weeks pregnant...

you would definately need to talk to a specialist...sounds to me like you may have some luck with timed intercourse and injections or maybe IUI before jumping straight to invitro but I don't know all your details. Check out the general forum and you will get lots more info there.
