Sept/Oct. Cycle Buddies

I want to know why Donna, you get to test on Mon. and Nerms, you get to test on Wed. Why do I have to wait until Fri.? Not fair. That is so far away. It's killing me. My dh is leaving for Vegas for work tomorrow and won't be home until Wed. Hopefully, I don't break down and do an hpt while he is gone. I keep saying that Wed. is the earliest I'll do a test. It would be so cool to surprise him with a BFP when he gets home. I think I might grab some First Response Early tests, just in case. We'll see what happens. Are either of you having cramping? I am. It's like a very mild af cramp. I get them off and on all day. I keep thinking I'm going to start spotting or get af. I'm praying that it's because I'm prego! I'll just have to wait and see. Oh man...i'm so glad you both replied...i'm going crazy today....i feel so badly like doing a HPT but resisting like mad because I don't want to be on a downer if it's a neg, then I'm juyst like sod it i'm just testing, then i'm checking the site every five mins to see if there is a response....needless to say i'm off work today with nothing or no-one to distract me!!

My clinic say that they prefer to wait 16 days from collection...theoretically 14 days is fine..so that would be monday for all of us, but they were finding some false negatives so suggested waiting a further two days that's why it's weds...friday does seem a little long! I am getting cramping on and off...more yesterday than today, and funnily when i think about it too! : )

Donna I think you're mad...but really brave....you're hopefully going to have a nice surprise waiting for you monday....are you still keeping your chin up??

I'm right there with you. I'm going crazy. I'm going to try to keep myself busy. It will be hard with dh gone. I'll have more time to think about everything and more tempted to test. I'll try to resist. I think I'll probably test Wed. I think by then, that an hpt should pick it up. If it's negative, then I'll be prepared for the blood test. If it's positive, then I won't believe it until the blood test. I've taken so many tests and had so many negatives. I think I'll be able to handle a negative. I'll be upset, but I know it's only my first IVF. We can try again. I just keep praying that it worked.

Hi Ladies,
Hope your all doing well ..... Sorry that I've been MIA for a bit ... it's just been so crazy here, trying to get everything I needed to get done (laundry, shopping, house cleaning, pre cooked meals, etc. etc.) before my ET on Wednesday Oct. 3 ..... My hubby and I were "on call" and got up every morning and got our boys off to school and then we both got ready in case my RE called and said to come in that morning for ET... It's gonna take me a bit to catch up with how everyone is progressing

When I arrived the morning of my ET ... My RE told me that the 2ND embie didn't develop as far as they had hope and didn't want to risk transferring it along with the blasto (which is very strong) ... I was also concerned about carrying twins since I am very petite .... so we all decided that the 1 would be good ..... oh, and we also asked my RE when he told my hubby and I the gender to say it with enthusiasm like at delivery .... he and the nurse both laughed and then he said, "IT'S A GIRL!!!! .... I can't tell you how happy I am ..... I really am just praying that I have a healthy baby ... whatever the gender was going to be .... but, now I will finally someone to be on my side ... oh, and I was also able to fit in the acupuncture before and after transfer .... I was a busy little bee that day

I have had on and off cramping since day 4. My frozen transfer, the cramps were worse...and I got a BFN. The first IVF I did, I cramped mildly. I am so emotional!!!!

Holy moly girls! You are all where I was a couple weeks again...constantly checking this site and debating about taking htps! I'm praying for you all!! I hope you all get your BFP's!

I know it's strange but I feel kind of like I'm waiting again for my scan. We are both hoping for twins and I keep talking of my babies... I can't wait to see that evidence even if its just for a second. I keep reading how fragile the first 12 weeks are and I already told practically everyone I know the test was positive. I guess you never stop worrying!

Michele, I'm so sorry about your cycle, I totally believe it could work au natural for you! Oh Please I just want for this to work so much...hang in there

Ingrid, how's everything w/you when will you be trying for your next cycle? You are an awesome inspiration when it comes to PMA, we all can learn from that!

Nerms, Thanks so much for thinking of me like that, I know how your girls feel and it makes me frustrated that you aren't where I am right now! Sometimes I wondered if I should keep responding and feel kinda guilty but I too like hearing of the BFP's espeically when some of these wonderful women have been thru so many years of trying. We tried for almost four years and this was our first and last IVF then we were goign to start the adoption process, so expensive to do all this and we were flat broke at this point. I think we all deserve a miracle after all this!


Kim, hang in there, your time is coming, I'm praying for you!

Donna, you are something with the HPT's!!!! I was so afraid to take them, just seeing that negative sign was enough to make me want to punch something... of course not taking one and waiting for that phone call wasn't the greatest either! I about threw up while waiting and I was at work! Hopefully your next test will show BFP!

Christie, wow, good luck w/your dh being gone, that has got to be tough! maybe you ought to go treat yourself to a manicure or something and a movie that would take up several hours. I had a bit of cramping and I remember I also had terrible gas a few times... strange and I suppose it could have been from something I ate but I've heard other women have that too.

So many of you will be testing soon! COME ON BFP'S!

If I missed a bunch of you I'm thinking of you all!

Melaine: Keep up your spirits and as adviced by someone in a different thread, think of your embies as litttle babes snuggling up in thick warm quilts keeping warm, glowing and growing. BFP, BFP, BFP!!!
Nerms:: thanks for the warm welcome and also for the details. i am also trying acupuncture for my next cycle though with an enthusiastic but inexperienced guy. hoping it works to drive away all the hostile antibodies from my body. keeping my fingers crossed for your BFP.

YES!!!
I truly do know the gender of EACH (5) of the embryos that were tested ... We were told the reason why the other 3 embies didn't pass the test and what gender each of them were as well ... there were 3 boys and 2 girls ..... it was an additional cost ($3,300.) and we (my hubby and I) felt a needed test given my age (41) ... before the test was given to my 5 embies, I would've had to make a choice as to which of the 5 embies I would transfer ... but, the test made that decision for us ... finding out the gender was just an added bonus (I have 2 wonderful boys)

Love, THAT IS SO AMAZING!!! The possibilies are just unbelievable, My doctor recommended we go thru genetic counseling (I have a kind of rare disease that involves hereditary polyps) and possiblly do that test but I guess I didn't realize they could know the gender as well. We opted out of getting that test for the expense and also hoping against hope that by chance our little one will not develop the disease, (it's 50/50 chance).

Well, I'm praying for that BFP for you! Yeah, a little girl (which is what I would love! but dh really wants boys! haha, go figure,) I'll be happy with any healthy bambino we get!!

What kinds of tests are you using? I bought a 3-pack of the First Response early ones. I'm going to try to wait until Wed. to test. With, dh gone, I think I'll be good. I need him here, in case it's a BFN. Are you going to test Sat. and Sun.? Let us know the results. We are all praying for you. Try not to get too upset. I keep reading on these boards of women not getting a positive until the blood test. You are having your test earlier than us too. You might not get a + until then. Try to stay positive.

unfortunately, not much to say and I am still waiting on some symptoms. maybe a little bit of cramping down low mostly on my right side and a couple times gas pains kinda embarrassing...and I had one strange dizzy sensation that lasted no more than a few seconds...I was standing at the sink washing dishes, and I just felt dizzy and I half thought to myself, could this be it and then of course I told myself NO it's nothing but now I believe it was a sign...I was actually hoping to start puking to give me a sign but really nothing...I've heard that symptom doesn't always come on until about 5 or 6 weeks sometimes ...

I'm saying a little prayer for you right now and picturing that little plus sign!

thanks ladies. I had bought the cheap ones online, easy preganncy test. com I also did a first response today. I will be testing everyday!!! I also bought ones from the dollar tree, it was negative today as well.
