Jen - no its a Torn night, did you watch it about the girls who was abducted on the beach? The final part is tonight, its really good.
Studying is going fine, so far. Had my friend then sis over to visit so have been kept busy.
Am not feeling anything so far. Last time i felt lots so am hoping this might be a good sign but to be honest after all the disappointment of 5 failed cycles, i am just getting on with things an dont feel like its a 2ww. Will be the best news ever if its a bfp but not holding out for much, dont want to fall further, yet again

Hi everyone

Thanks for all the advice it really helps me soo much. Have not heard today from IM so hoping to receive e-mail tomorrow.

Carolynb really glade all going well you must be well excited. When you start your patches do IM give you any indication of dates for ET or do you just go on these patches for 3-4 weeks then they call you when they are ready for you to fly out. Do you get plenty of notice. :?:

I would love to have a copy of your questions if your sure you don't mind. I will send you a private e-mail tomorrow.

Gill12 I did not realise you had 2 previous ed treatments in this country. I so hope the tmt at IM works for you and that you hear from IM soon. Must say they are slow with their responses. Did you have to wait long in this country as I have been enquirying also and the waiting lists are appx 2 years. :(

Jen1d thinking of you hope them embies are snuggling in nicely.

Take care everyone

Hi everyone,

Thanks to everyone for your posts and your wonderful support. It means so much to me. Sorry, I didn’t post over the weekend. My cycle was cancelled as predicted and I really wasn’t feeling up to much.
At the scan on Friday morning my lining was down to only 5mm and by that time it was clear that AF was here to stay. I got 2 text messages from the clinic at work on Friday afternoon to confirm that I should stop the meds and that we would be starting from square one again when AF shows next time. After recovering from the initial shock I got down to calculating the new time schedule. If AF behaves etc. etc. I could be ready for transfer again around mid December.
I realized how much hope I had been building up since our decision to go ED route and it just all came crashing down so I spent most of the weekend picking up the pieces. I just hadn't expected to be faced with cancelled cycles yet again, and that so close to ET too. We were away at a wedding on Saturday at which I wasn’t feeling too jolly. On Sunday we went with a friend for a hike in the mountains and that did me a world of good. DH is good at chasing me outdoors. I’m still feeling deflated and sad but am now looking ahead once again. It’s not the end of everything so before I start feeling sorry for myself again I’ll just quietly join the back of the queue because it’s YOUR turn…

…Jen1 ! 2 embies on board and you’re getting closer to that BFP every day. Sounds like you were really chilled out in Barcelona. Keep it up and stay strong. Sending you lots of positive vibes.

Carolyn – fantastic news about your donor!!!. You can really get focused now. Wishing you a smooth journey in the next few weeks. Enjoy your acu sessions!

JenB – So glad to hear things are finally moving on again. Phew. That was such a loooong wait. You’re well on your way now, with ET just round the corner. Hope AF behaves. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Gill – do hope you get some answers soon. It’s so unfair to keep you hanging on waiting.

Lucy – great that you found us here. Good luck with your appointment at IM. Any confirmation of a date yet?

Vicki – hope all is progressing well on the Progynova and the precious cargo reaches Spain safely. Sure you’ll be getting news of a donor soon.

Kelly – well done on your scan today. Keep the good news coming.

A big hello to all those I’ve not mentioned personally. Love and hugs to all you wonderful eggheads here… hope to catch up again soon

Love

Sonia,
I am so sorry to hear about your tough weekend. That truly sucks that this cycle has been cancelled! this whole process is a waiting game and quite frankly I think anyone who is on this thread has waited long enough so having a cycle cancelled so close to the ET isn't fair.
But it sounds like you are looking forward which is great! Hopefully the next couple of months will fly by!
I'm thinking of you!

Hi gang

Sonia - So sorry about your cycle being cancelled but happy your feeling ready to plan your next one. Here is big hug for you.
Image
Glad you were able to keep busy, sounds like you had fun with dh chasing you outdoors, lucky girl

So where is everyone else, must be working far to hard.

Popped out to tesco today then have been chilling ever since, am feeling a bit lazy when i sit down but also feel i am doing a bit more this time.
Anyway isnt it between 5-7 days after ET that implantation occurs? thats my excuse for being lazy.

Feeling a bit neg about the whole cycle. Feel nothing this time, know that can be good or bad. Last time i felt a lot and still got a neg so could this be no feelings and get a pos????????

Ok will pop back later to see if anyone is around

Sonia - Image so sorry to read about your cycle. Thinking of you

JB - the acu sounds wonderful. I feel relaxed afterwards but it never seems to send me off to sleep. I am jigging for your AF to be here very soon after all the waiting that you have had babe Image

Gill -sweetie - it is so rubbish that they have not been in touch. You must call them and demand to speak to a dr

Jen1d - you are doing so well. Best not to speculate if you can avoid it. I know easier said than done. You are 1 week down. Try to stay relaxed if you can

Lucy - Think that I will most likely be on the patches for a couple of weeks. They try to give you aboit 2/3 days notice of ET but we may need to be there for EC as they may have used all dh's swimmers in the testing. They warned us that we may just have 24 hours notice. I figure that you will be able to start getting a sense of which days you might need to be out there but they only advise booking the flights when you know for sure. Hope that this helps babe

Kelly - glad that the scan went well

Vicki - Image

Hello to all the other eggheads. It is almost the weekend. Yippee.

Well I am busy as usual. Got an e-mail from IM this evening. Was worried that something had gone wrong with our donor. It was the results of the swabs they took. I got a negative on ureaplasma???? They say that it is nothing to worry about but could cause implantation reaction. So I need to take antibiotics - but they seem to be a bit different to the ones that Dr Walker gave us when we were there???? Anyhow I have time to get it sorted out. So not stressed as yet!!!! Just pleased that they are covering all the angles. No news on dh's test results yet but we have plenty of time. My heart beats faster everything I see their e-mail address come up in my account.

Hugs to you all. Looking forward to the weekend. Hope that you all have nice stuff planned.

Lots of love to you all
Carolyn

Hi :D

Sonia- :( So sorry you had to cancel your cycle, hope you are ok. Im pleased that you will get another cycle before christmas, take care hun x

Lucy- :D
I've had 2 egg donations in this country I had to wait 1 year between tmts, but that was before the law changed! I've been on the waiting list since the last one failed in 2004 and still no where near top of the list so thats why we went to IM for our last tmt. Hope you've heard off them with all the info you wanted. x

Carolyn- :D
Sounds like the IM are keeping a close eye on you and covering all bases for you to get that BFP! x

Jen1,JenB Carolynand everybody else who have been asking, I did get an email off the IM today but only to confirm that they got the email I sent on Monday, they said they would try and get Dr Redondo to answer me tonight but she didnt  So tomorrow I will give them a ring, couldn't phone today as I was out and I need to write the stuff they tell me down and have the email I sent in front of me so I dont miss anything out. I would like to make a decision about tmt before af comes incase we can start meds on day 1 and af is due next week so I havent got long!
Sorry to all those I've missed, Hope you are all ok.

Take care everyone
Lots of love

Hi Ladies, sorry have been busy and not able to post for a few days..thanks for thinking of me Jen!

I have been reading all your news, what a busy thread.

Sorry to see IM have been unreliable in terms of getting in touch and answering questions. Do you think the clinic is very busy? When Kat (from over 40 thread) and I underwent tmt , IM responded very promptly to our requests. Are they short staffed at the moment? It must be so frustrating for you. Fingers crossed they get their act together and start replying properly.

We have had a very busy week. We have been swimming, out for lunch, to the library and for a couple of long walks in the park. (The weather is fab!) Our news is that Matthew is cutting his first tooth :D

Sorry I don't have time for personals today. I am still here reading and following everyone's progress. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Keep the faith, dreams do come true
Hugs to all, have a great weekend
Bye for now

Hi

Anna - good to hear from you, was getting a bit worried.
So sweet that first tooth stage but the sore teeth, red cheeks, piercing screams and sleepless nights are not so much fun eh  Have you tried toothy pegs from the chemist, they love to chomp on them?

So we are half way there

Weekend is full of early shift tomorrow then maybe the cinema then lazy morning with the papers on sunday and then late shift--yuck

Sorry this is also short but got a bit of a sore back, had it after ironing a few bits, hope its just that. Starting to think af is passing by, only to appear soon after test day--hope not, maybe my imagination is running mad.

Back to work tomorrow and just dreading it, prefer to be sitting in the sun

Thinking of you all
