brandi, I am glad to hear you are doing better! I had a friend who had the placenta previa and it scared her until she realzied what it was ( she is a labor and delivery nurse). Anyway she said it was the scariest thing because of all the blood. I'm so sorry you had to go thru that. You be careful and just take it really easy.

I have some news of my own...... we found out thru ultrasound yesterday that i have a boy and a girl!!!!!! I have to say i cried. several times . LOL.
I was just excited . so little andrew and arabella are doing just fine and are a little over half a pound each. I'm getting big.. i'be gained 11 pounds but my belly looks like its double that. ( and six of those in the last two weeks) i almost fell out when i stepped on the scale LOL.
Anyway still very tired but its much better than it was ealier.

I don't know why the email notification isn't letting me know when there is a new post but i'm going to try and remember to check back every day. I miss the support from you guys!!!
I hope all of you are well!!!

Congrats dixie on your boy and girl. I can't believe you already have names picked out. I won't even begin thinking about it until I know if it is a boy or girl. You would think that after all this time trying I would have daydreamed and come up with some names.

Have any of you started feeling the baby(ies) yet? I felt something today like a roll of gas bubbles across my lower abdomen. It did it about 5 times and in the same spot. I wasn't sure if it was the baby or just gas. I was wondering what it felt like for some of you in the beginning.

Glad to finally hear from you Brandi. I was beginning to worry about you. I'm glad it is getting better and you have a dr. that knows what they are doing.

I've bought a few and borrowed a few maternity clothes. I feel very awkward in the maternity tops. They just seem to big, and my regular tops mostly fit, but seem too short to cover the bands on the maternity pants. I think I have been late to work almost everyday for almost two weeks because I keep trying things on to wear in the mornings. I need new underwear. Are you ladies buying maternity underwear or just buying bigger sizes of the regular stuff?

I hope everyone is doing well. Some of you will be approaching the halfway mark pretty soon. How exciting!

kerri,
thats what it felt like to me.. it was funny at first. It would be so quick that by the time i realized what i was feeling it was gone. And yes i had the same problem with maternity clothes. try one size up than you normally wear in regualar size tops.. especially the " baby doll" kind. that worked well for me and i can and will wear them in a few months after the babys are born. I don't work right now but its been frustrating because i feel like i'm in a tent with maternity clothes on. I woke up a couple of days ago though and it wa definitely time for them. no question LOL
I didn't buy maternity underwear but try the fruit of the loom hipsters.... in a size or so larger. they arent bikini so they stay up but they are over your belly either.
Also i have come to realize that i can't stand the Under belly maternity pants... they don't stay put.... go for the mid panel or even full... they fit better and are much more comfortable. ( the levi brand at walmart with the fuller pannel are extremely comfortable)
anyway.. whew theres my book LOL

kerribell, thanks for thinking about me im doing alot better, i went in for my 17wk check up, for now i get checked every 2wks due to the fact that i lost the other prenancy so late, so they check fetal heart beat and baby growth to make sure all is well. so during my ultrsound they measured him in every which way possible and so far i have good news the placenta is no longer low lying and he is measurig right on time. the top of my uterus is right at where my belly button is so all that bubbly feeling is the baby the us tech said that since the uterus grows up out of your pelvic area your intestines get pushed up and back so all movement under the belly button are the baby i hope thats helpful. so now that i know that boy is he active its not strong but i can still feel it. anyway i hope all you ladies are doing well this board has been kinda quiet lately so i was wondering where everyone went. again hope all you ladies are well and hope to hear from you soon

Hi ladies, I've been pretty quiet lately but I've been lurking around and reading your posts every few days. It's so exciting to hear how everyone is growing and changing!

I had a level 2 ultrasound today and it looks like we're having a girl (Dr said he is 80% sure)!!!!! We go back in 1 month for another ultrasound since the baby is measuring a little small, so we're keeping a close eye on her. It's amazing to see how much they squirm and move around. I think she was practicing karate in there!!! :)

Good to hear that everyone is doing well.

Has anyone heard from Daly lately?

hey you guys...
just sitting here hoping everyone is doing well...
I think i'm just a worrier.
I finally found out what they babies were and immediately started obsessing over something else. I was much more calm and rational about things in the beginning ... now its been almost 20 weeks and i keep saying " what if" . I blame all the baby shows on tlc LOL.
let me know how yall are!
michelle, congrats on the girl!!!!
tajma WOW A boy for you !!!!!
take care!

Hello Everyone,

I am around 18 weeks now and feeling much better than the first trimester. Boy, that was a rough one. I'm just transitioning into maternity clothes and luckily I had some from when I was pregnant two years ago. This pregnancy is definitely different than the first so maybe it's a boy this time. At least that is what everyone is saying. We will be happy either way. DH and I decided to wait to find out again. It sure is tough waiting. My next U/S is this Friday and they will be taking all the measurements and checking the baby over quite thoroughly. I will feel much more relieved after that appt.

Glad to here everyone is holding up well and most of us are over the first trimester hurdle. I'm definitely enjoying the 2nd trimester and my belly bump.

Take Care,
Sher8

Hi girls!

Hope everyone is doing well! I had my 3D U/S with the high risk OB yesterday and everything looks good. Phew, thank you God! I stressed out waiting for that appointment. He measured the bones, brain, heart and other organs and cofirmed we are definitely having a girl. I'm opting not to do the amnio based on the good results and now hopefully just enjoy the rest of the pregnancy. I think I popped out in the last couple of days and have gained about 10lbs so far. I'm still refusing maternity clothes though and trying to see how long I can stretch my "fat" clothes to..

Take care all!

It's a boy for me! I had my u/s yesterday. They also did a 4D scan and it looked like the baby was smiling so big. It was all so neat to see.

I hope everyone is well.

Glad to hear you girls are doing well. I had the thorough ultrasound on Friday and all looked good. We got the u/s put on a dvd so we can watch it at home?!? As much as I would like to know if it is a boy or girl, we did not find out. I think it's a girl and DH is positive it is a boy. We will see. . .

Have you girls though of any names yet??

Hey everyone- tomorrow is the big day for us. We are having our high resolution ultrasound to check the heart, liver, etc... and HOPEFULLY know what we're having!! I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight!! My husband and I are both so excited. I have heard that more boys are born to ICSI- does anyone know if that's true? We will be happy either way- I was just wondering. Has anyone felt the baby move? I haven't yet, but we rented the doppler, so I hear the heartbeat a lot. Would like to feel the movement, though. We are taking a tape with us so we can record the ultrasound.
One more thing- I have swollen ankles and feet every afternoon. I've been putting them up and drinking water like crazy, but I still get them. Anyone else having this?
