Anna - I really think that the clinic is just mad busy right now. I read on Fertility Freinds and everything there indicates that they are just seeing more and more people all the time. Success leads to more people and/or higher prices. That is the way of the world. How exciting that little Matthew is teething. Sounds like you have had a great week in the sun

Vicki - really hope that you had a good apppointment with Mr Trew. Let us know how it went when you have chance. I shall write and let him know if it ever happens for us as he was good to us in the early days

JB - wanted to send you the bunnies again as they are so cute. Hope that your AF comes at the weekend and then you can start on the patches. Have a great weekend with the girls. You are always so busy. Not sure what infection I have. Might do a bit of web research over the weekend. They did a swab test when I was there as said that the infection in boith my tubes that was cut out would have likely started in my uterus. They have put me on Doxiciclina, Ibuprofeno and Omeprazol for two weeks prior to transfer. Plus baby aspirin to thin my blood. We have my acu schedule worked out. I go again on 1st day of bleed after I come off pills. Then he will see me when I start the patches on D7 then over to Valerie!

Lucy - really hope that your appointment has been confirmed

Rebecca - hope that you & the twins are doing really well. Has the sickness past?

Sonia - hope that you are looking after yourself. Do you know when you'll get new dates?? Can so understand what you wrote about coming to terms with the decision to go ed and then feeling like it is our turn now. That is caues it is!!! Or should be very soon

So I booked scan today at my old clinic for 2nd November. Was a little concerned that they would not still look after me but was very easy. Have booked two acu sessions for next bleed and to help lining when I am on patches. So feel pretty organised. Plus already starting to drop hints about taking time off in November at work to prepare them. City Break!!! Just need to wait to hear from IM why Dr Walker gave me one set of drugs and then Dr Ronado gave me a different set of drugs. I will not need to start these for 3 weeks so it is no big deal as yet.

Had a mini break down at work this morning when found good freind is expecting number 3. She already has a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Sounds like she has a clot and her dh was complaining. Not well received when they know where we are at. But people just do not get it. Had to visit loo for tears. Then write very nice congratulatory note and then try to put out of my mind.

Off to horse racing in Paris on Sunday. Will take train there and back. Should be good fun. Dh and me and a couple of my friends. Will pass another day.

1 week of pills behind me.

IM phoned me today and answered all my questions etc Now we have to decide if we are going to go ahead with tmt. If we are we can start patches on day one of af which is due in the next few days or so So we havent got long to think about it. If timing is similar to last tmt we could be due for et end of October- first week in November!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLOODY HELL not sure if im ready.

Sorry to hear you had a few tears today , It brings it all home when you find out about women being pregnant, they just dont have a clue how hard it is for us or how bloody easy it is for them, know we should feel happy for them but its so hard.

My sadness has started to pass. I just want it to happen so badly for all of us when we fight so hard for it. I was in the loo crying thinking why does she need 3 babies when we would give everything for 1. Just not fair. I just feel so much empathy for all of us that upsets me too. Anyway, it is passing now. Thanks for understanding - very few people could possibly understand.

It would be wonderful if you could go again so soon if you feel up to it.

Sure that you & your dh will be able to figure out what is best for the two of you.

Sounds like I''ve missed quite a bit when I don't read posts for a few days! Glad everyone seems in good spirits. Best wishes to everyone in their current phases!!!

Quick update on me. Got AF on Tuesday night, so started estrace and vivelle patch that night. I have an ultrasound on the 9th and my donor is starting her shots on the 13th. She comes in for her first scan around the 19th so I'll know then how the eggs are progressing.

Thankfully I have school and work to keep me busy! I had a bit of a panic attack last night thinking I only have 3 weeks left to lose 10 pounds, completely destress and eat right. Guess the 3 cookies I had with lunch didn't help. But I'm off to the gym to help the cause. Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

First i will apoligize that there are no personals - I am too upset to think straight.

What a morning I've had. i am in canada and it is thanksgiving weekend and right now I feel like I have nothing to be thankful about.

I went in for my day 10 scan this morning thinking that I would have about 10 follicles (up from my 6 on day 7). Well, they told me that I still only had 6 but the problem was that two were ready to go, one was on the verge and 3 were still quite small. then they looked at me and said, what is your plan if the IVF is canceled. What do they mean, what is my plan? Aren't they supposed to be giving me direction in this? So, i have to go in tomorrow for another scan and see what is happening. They don't do IVF for anything less than 4 so it doesn't look good.

So, essentially we have donor sperm that we won't end up using - I guess you can't return sperm. This was my last attempt with my eggs so if this doesn't work then not only will we be using donor sperm but we'll be using donor eggs - and we'll be going overseas. i wish I had just gone this route 2 months ago when I thought it was my destiny. I am so frustrated with this process.

Sorry for my venting.

I have had a vistitor this morning at 1am... AF has arrived so i stared patches then too...As the other Im girls told me to expect a headache from hell I wasn't too surprised when i woke an hour later with pain. So took painkillers that worked a treat and have felt okay since then. I am so excited about treatment now as i know it is near x x
have cranial work tomorroe ( for MS in head and neck) and then acu thursady Monday and thrsday agin so will be well relaxed in the next few weeks. Can i ask your advice about having acu in the 2ww ???carolyn??? any info on this would be appreciated...

Thanks for the support! I was in a bad state yesterday!
Today am feeling a bit better. Had my scan this morning and we are going ahead...
I have 7 follicles today and they are all growing - one maybe two will definitely be overly mature by ER but hopefully if they give me a day or two some of the smaller ones will pop up. It looks like I may end up with 3-4 eggs which is fine with me because we'll be using all of them in the double transfer. At least i can proceed which was my main worry.

Jen1, you are entering the home stretch! Not long now!

Gill, I think this was your big decision-making weekend! can't wait to hear what you've decided for your next steps.

Rebecca, JenB, Kim and Carolyn - It sure looks like October/November is going to be a busy month with all of you guys having ET.

As for me, af is almost here(having some very mild af pains) and we still havent completely made our minds up yet! I think we are going to go ahead with tmt but we need to sort out the £'s first. If we do start on 1st day of af I think we could be back in Big B within 2 weeks for transfer .Last time after 10 days my lining was 7mm and we dont have to wait for the donor this time so it will probably be quicker . Still not sure if Im ready for all this again and I just hate the 2ww, wish I could be put to sleep and woken up for the beta test. Had a fab weekend the sun shone and we managed to finish the fencing and tidy the garden.
