Kelley, Dear
The thoughts are coming to you at the moment...let them come...it will go faster than it has come. Just keep up your PMA...its criminal to not to have it now!! You travelled a bit successfully...few more months to go. Hang in there, baby!!

Christin
Glad to hear that your OHSS is coming down. :) Keep us posted of ur next checkup. PMA you receive from clinic is also very important. My doc makes me feel so comfortable...he is adorable. When I went to meet him this afternoon, he told me that when he was told that 2 out 4 cases were BFP, he expected one to be mine. Anyways he strongly suggested break for me...and I agreed!!!:)

Lala...can't wait to hear about you scan!!!

Kelly...busy packing up for Scotland?? when is your scan?

Carolyn...Ya,we are scorpios....fighters in all attempts and mostly winners  !!! Leaving on 3/10 to meet my parents and then to Bahrain.

Love to all....

It's a singleton!!! I have such mixed feelings...I am both so very happy but so very sad. I have been thinking about my lost embie the whole day after my u/s appt. I wonder when it got lost, how it got lost, if I did anything to make it not able to hold on, if it felt any pain... :( I miss my baby already... But I have to say the whole u/s thing was way cool. I got to see my baby inside me for the very first time!!! And I saw its heartbeat! IT's beating 111 beats/min. The u/s tech said 80 is normal and so 111 is very strong. Oh btw, it measures 3mm. It's like the size of a sesame.

Today, I made my first appt with my OBGYN. Ladies, I have to tell you that I completely freaked out because the ones that I wanted are completely booked!!! I ended up with someone that I don't know (meaning I haven't heard about). She is also new to the hospital. I tried to google her but there's nothing about her. I am worried... This coming Friday will be my first appt with my OBGYN. I am really hoping that she's the one.

I am 5 weeks 6 days today. My due date is 5/28/2008.

Christin, Kelly, and Kelley, are you still on the daily PIO shots? I've been switched to a weekly PIO shot. I am loving it.

sonu911 and Carolyn I am also LOVING your super PMA! You guys are way too cool! Thank you for staying strong. Hope you get a good rest and fight the battle again. You will get there.

Christin I too have some discharge, but not so much. I still have some occasional cramps, but my RE said it's completely normal. So you go in again later this week? I hope that you see your babies' heartbeats! I was in awe when I saw mine! It's so small but yet so strong. Make sure you bring your DH with you. When's your due date?

Kelley Girl girl girl...where's your PMA? You gotta stay strong. Your baby will feel it. When's your scan?

Kelly I sincerely hope that you have a restful trip! Tell us all about Scotland when you come back!

Please don't beat yourself up over the lost embie. I lost a total of 10 because none of my survived long enough to freeze. I was heart broken too, but it was out of our control. I bet you have one strong little baby in you right now. He/She is going to be more than you ever hoped for!!

I got chills when you were talking about your u/s and heartbeat. My DH goes with me to every single appt....I don't think I could trick him into not going if I tried. This Friday I don't think I will be far enough along to see the heartbeat. I am just keeping postive about the development of both babies.

In terms of the PIO shots, I am still on them. He told me last week though that since i am producing so much progesterone naturally bc of the twins, that I will not stay on them as long as mothers with singletons. I am excited about that! I have only been on 1cc this whole time though. I think some of yall have been on 2cc. He discontinued my Estrace (the estrogen pill) last week too. I was tired of that stupid thing.

Any of yall feeling morning sickness yet? I'm not. I get hungry alot though, but when I eat, I am stuffed very quickly. I have found too that my nose is running like crazy and I have been sneezing a bit. Maybe alergies...not sure.

Oh, about the OBGYN, don't work yourself up over it. As long as she is board certified, I am sure you are in good hands. I have my first appt witht the OBGYN on October 23rd. I hope my RE doesn't release me then though. I think he keeps us until at least end of 1st trimester. I love my RE. The clinic is so nice and they really are tuned into how we feel. I love it.

Oh, lala, kelley, and kelly...go join the April/May 2008 thread under "pregnant after treatment". I joined yesterday.

It's a singleton for me too!!!! The Dr came in and said "question is one or two" and I said I really think it's just one and then we did the u/s and saw our little bean. We got to see and HEAR the heartbeat, it was SOOOO cool. It was beating about 100 beats per minute. I asked the RE if he was sure it wasn't my heart beat we were hearing and he grabbed my wrist and said let's see and felt my pulse and said nope that's not yours. He printed off a couple of pictures for us and wants me to to do another u/s in 3 weeks either at the clinic or to an OB. My RE asked me if I had an OB in mind and told me to fax him some choices and he'd recommend one to me. Lala- if you are nervous about your OB talk to your clinic and I bet they know the OB you are about to see.

I do have a small subcronic hemmerage above my uterus and he asked if I have had any bleeding or spotting and I said no but he still banned us from intercourse for 2 weeks because of it. You should have seen my DH rolling his eyes behind the RE back- ha ha. He said it was nothing to worry about but it still makes me nervous. Anyone else ever heard of this or have had this?

Well we are off to Scotland for 10 days tomorrow, I'll try to check in every once in awhile. I wish you all the best of luck!
Love

Oh I almost forgot to answer about the POI shots. I'm on them until my 10th week so I have about 3 more weeks. Does anyone have problems with the medicine oozing out after you take the needle out? I just called and left a message with the nurses desk to see if they have any advice.

I remember my stims meds oozing out a bit, but my POI never does. I do usually get a little bit of blood after he pulls the needle out. I will be interested to hear what your nurse says.

Kelly,

When I was on the daily PIO shot, it was almost a daily thing for it to be oozing out. Now that I am on the weekly PIO, we no longer see it. I guess may be it's because my daily PIO was more liquidy than my weekly PIO??? My weekly PIO is way more viscous than my earlier one. But it's just a guess...

Hope all is well.

Your holiday sounds wonderful. I am excited to hear that you and DH are trying again in the new year. Let us know how the holiday is!

Sonu and Kelly

We are all jealous that you are on incredible vacations right now.....I hope you are soaking in the wonderfulness of it all!!!

Update
I was able to see our Twins' heartbeats today!!!! I was such a nervous wreck about this appt...but in the end..there was nothing to be worried with. They are doing great. It actually looks like one embryo implated a day or two before the other. It is measuring a little larger. Our heart beats (at 6 weeks) are Twin A = 93bps and Twin B = 99bps. My RE also discontinued the POI shots, and now just have to take Progestorone in pill form 3 times a day. I am so excited about that!!!

Also, I have lost 10 lbs in one week of my fluid from OHSS!!!! They also said that before my ovaries were 4 times the size the should be...and today, they were only double the size they should be. So I am making good progress to kick this OHSS. I am so happy about that. I can finally wear decent clothes, walk around, sleep normal, etc.

Oh, and RE said he is gong to start planning my "Exit Strategy" from the clinic....I told him that was sad to hear. He laughed and said that I shouldn't like the fertility clinic that much...LOL. But they are great. I will miss them. They treat us like royalty there. They take care of everything and make sure we are always comfortable...etc. I feel like other doctors offices just treat you like a number. Oh well, I will keep my fingers crossed that the OBGYN will care just as much :)

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I am about to sign off so that I can go to sleep. Talk to you all soon!

Hi lovelies,

Sorry been a bit scarse. Have just got back from a trip to my Mum and Dad's in Adelaide. AGH.......Day I arrive Mum breaks the news that my SIL is pregnant again (2nd time IVF and preg first time). They broke the news to my folks the day I got my neg test result. Timing hey. I just wanted to break down and cry but kept it together. So wanted it to be us sharing the news this time round. Nevermind. I am at least happy that my folks will have a 2nd grandchild.

So good to hear everyone's news. Archana, I am so sorry for your BFN. Hopefully you are doing OK. Likewise for you Carolyn.

Well as for me, trying not to think of the baby making as much these days. Still getting pangs thru the heart from time to time but try to push it aside. We're still "trying" naturally, however I'm not as neurotic if we miss a day here and there. Can't be bothered. Other than that, when next AF arives we'll go for a FET in which our RE has agreed to put 2 back, so that should be around early to mid November.

On a positive note, DH told me we were going on a purely spontaneous trip to LA and Vegas in 2 weeks to see our friends get married in Vegas. They told us of their plans over dinner last week and my DH said "right we're coming with you!". I could have fell off my chair! We only just had a HUGE holiday in May. I think that was his way of coping with our BFN. He thinks well, if god won't give us what we so desperately want right now, then we'll live a wonderful, spontaneous life! So flights are booked and we're spending the first4 days in LA to go to the opening of DANCING WITH THE STARS in which our friend is a dancer. Should be great! I have also spent some time with another couple of friends who commenced IVF at 40 and spent 2 years trying with BFNs and now live a fabulous life, holidaying around the world 2 x a year and have already retired! They said after the grief and acceptance, life goes on and you find other ways to fill your days. Life is for living, that's my new motto. I have wasted so many years already in this quest to have a family to no avail. It's time to start waking up and appreciating what we have.

Blah Blah Blah hey ladies :-)

None of us know what our journeys in life are, but we're here to learn something from them and that's just what I'm trying to do.

Hope to stay in touch with you all.

Love from afar,

Dex xox

It is so good to hear from you! I am sorry about the SIL news. I think that your trip to Vegas is going to be a blast for yall. And who knows, maybe all of these fun trips will get you and your DH in a better mental and physical state to conceive naturally. If not, then I wish you all the luck with FET. Please keep us posted.

Hi guys-

I hope everyone is doing well. The weather down here in Louisiana is finally getting nice....we are starting to feel a little breeze and are in the 80s temp. Very nice days.

Carolyn
I look forward to hearing about your appt in a few days. This is exciting for you and DH.

Sonu
Soak up all that you can in Bahrain bc once the babies come along, it will be hard to enjoy vacations like this for a while!!!

Update
Well I wanted to give everyone a quick update of what is going on with me. I went to the RE today for another scan....and originally we were having twins. Well today, we saw that one embryo split and now we have triplets. I cried. This is so scarey. My family is so excited...but it is weird to me.

In regards to the progesterone, RE took me off of the injections last week, and put me on the pills three times a day. After my appt today, he reduced me to once per day. I go back again on Friday, so after Monday night, he wants me to stop taking them so that he can check my levels to see if it is safe for me to go without the supplement. I never thought I would say this, but the injections were easier to remember. I keep forgetting to take the darn pills.

Well, I think this is enough news for me to dump on yall today. Speak soon.

Christin...WOW - triplets?!!!!! That is very scarey, but so very cool at the same time!!!! I know you must be unbelievably nervous...anxious, and a million other feeling's must be floating through your head. My husband's cousin had triplets (via IVF) 12 years ago..and while they are all very tall (their Mom & Dad are also tall) they are on the skinnier side, but otherwise do very well..... It was very strenuos having three, however they had a wonderful (unbelievable really!) support system...start getting your friends & family involved and everything should be wonderful for you. Please keep us posted and updated, as I love to read about how everyone's doing! What U/S was this? Your 6 week or 5 week...and exactly how far along are you? I believe we are just about the same...
Today I am exactly 7 weeks

I actually found out I am (so far anyway!) that I am having twins, which is a COMPLETE shock, as my HCG levels were indicative of a single....do they still take your HCG? What was your last one. Mine at 6weeks 5 days was only 24,000...low I think?!

Good luck with everything..and I can't wait to hear your updates!!!
