Paris yesterday was an absolute blast. Really long day but the weather was perfect. Train there and back was fine too. Loved it and backed a winner. Although I am so competitive that I would have liked more obviously! Great way to spend a day. Came back with some Euros so we can put these towards Barcelona trip next month!!! Did treat myself to a few sips of champagne but if I drink anymore then I would collapse.

Now back in the real world. YUCK. Really struggled to get out of bed this morning as we were back late. Had to even have a coffee at work with caffenine as was so sluggish! Usually only allowed that treat after a BFN!!!

Barmitzvah next weekend which I don’t want to go too. My dh’s business partner's son - boy is ok but am not wild about him or his wife. And I am not Jweish so always think that I will do or say the wrong thing. Anyway some things we just have to do. Must not complain as had such a blast yesterday. Plus it keeps passing the days. There will be a service on Saturday morning and then party Sunday night. Plus there is of course the rugby to look forward to on Saturday evening. Dh and I will be fighting over the TV with X Factor, Come Dancing and the Rugby.

Have X Factor from last night to watch this evening! I am such a sad cow.

Hi girls

Wow i'm whacked, had a bumper day in shift, yesterday and today but am only a prostitute *****, so not bad for a Monday

Am feeling ok, no af symptoms just now but that means nothing and all can change in a second. Am quite chilled as i know th pessaries and patches are doing their job, cant tell you the stress it takes away when you know you wont bleed (better not speak to soon eh). Just being patient and waiting.
Had a bit of a bad dream last night, worried we wont ever get a bfp and be sitting here in a few months with nothing and at the end of the road----so hoping that doesnt happen

Carolyn - So glad you enjoyed Paris, sounds like you had fun and good weather to, you were blessed.
I went for a job with real Jewish people---was so funny, i was only in the interview for about 15 mins and i wanted to run. They were lovely people but they started to tell me about how i must cook and wash all the milk/meat seperately, if there was a mistake i should boil all the dishes, keep my lights on until a certain time and respect their lifestyle etc---was out of there in a flash. The family i worked for in Milan were also Jewish but they only said a 5 min prayer on Friday and were not the real Orthodox Jews and were lovely to me. Just go with the flow and dance the way they do, they will laugh at you but who cares

JenB - Glad the headache passed, its a killer eh. I emailed IM when i had mine as sleep didnt even help and they said paracetamol is ok to take but i've never had them again. Glad your getting closer.

Gill - So pleased you are nearly at your decision---i think its an IM visit for you really soon

Well i decided to call the clinic ( scan) today as i have heard Jack from them...and guess what they know nothing about me coming for a scna next week. called my Gp and he said it is set up and i need to ssort it out with hospitl. So called the consultant that set it up. he's out of the country so left a msg for his secretery to call back...nil...and re called the clininc nurse who is away at a course all afternoon!!!!!So i gotta call tomorrow and sort it out...am sure it will be fine( if it's not i will kick up hell )..and it will all come together when i need it next monday morning...IM emailed me too with a date of 11th or 16th for approx ET have emailed back as that is before i even get my scan and feel the dates are wrong. They did say in same email it would be day 10-20 so that would make it 16-25th Oct which is the week i thought it might be x x so hope for the confirmation that my dates are correct tomorrow x x

off now to make dinner and chill for the evening..by the way on tuesday at 9pm ( i think) i caught the last few minutes of a weekly programme called bringing up baby. About trials with newborns and their mums with techniques of the 50's, 60's and 70's ...it's on every week channel 4 i think so if you interested give a look and see what you think x x

Saw part of that programme but not much to chat about. As a trained nursery nurse found it interesting but some of it is really strict. I think its great to get them into a routine but some bits seem a bit extreme. What did you think?

Sorry in advance feeling a bit sorry for myself today and dont even know its a bfn yet Have been doing so well but feeling so emotional today. At least i will be back to work tomorrow and thursday to keep me busy.

I have felt some af bits and pieces but on different days, not much really but know something is lurking--nothing around just now. On the other hand i havent had other signs like i did the last time. Dont know if this is better or worse as i have been through other cycles feeling lots then bfn and cycles where i felt nothing then bfn. I cant believe how calm i have been, until today but i am now starting to plan for a neg as i dont want to think otherwise as it hurts so much to think of the disappointment---just protecting myself again. Although i'm afraid if it doesnt work this time then i think we can definately say its over for us---i know---we have 2 more but the best embies are not implanting so ??????????

I still have it in my head that there is something wrong with me. The Dr's all say its only blocked tubes so why does it not work? I have never been pregnant after all these cycles---why?

OK going to get on with my studying and not bore you all, sorry girls

Jen1 - hand in there. Not long to go and you've been doing so well! hopefully your PMA will return with avengence tomorrow! This 2ww is the hardest part of this whole process but you are almost through it and will be rewarded with your BFP!!!

Well, after my near breakdown on Saturday I am feeling much better. I went in for a few more u/s over the weekend and then again today for my final one. The RE said that it looks like I'll have 6-7 eggs of good size so we'll see how many fertilize. I am feeling so much better about it now! Even if we end up with 4 embryos I'll be happy!
So, I trigger tonight and will have my ER on Thursday with ET on Sunday the 14th and Tuesday the 16th. It is going to be a busy week! I guess that means that my test date will be Oct 30! I sure hope that October flies by!

Lucy - sorry that you are a bit down. 2 days and then we have the weekend. Yippee. I had issues getting blood group. Had to go to go twice. Hospital lost the 1st round. There was mention of £ as non standard but our gp arranged in the end. We did not have in time to send to Barcelona so ended up taking on the day. IM paid hardly any attention to them at all. They are only interested if you want to match your blood group. I hope that you can get it sorted out hun.

Let me try to explain about the ticker. If you go to the url below:

Then you can pick a count down ticker that looks nice - you just click in the box to the right of each ticker to select. Then you pick the counter - same just click on the one that you like. Then you just put the date that you are counting down to - I guess your first appointment. Then you should have a count down ticker like many of us have on the bottom of our messages. Well dh and I got the results back from his sperm fragmentation tests and the results are not good. So looks like he will require a TESA operation to take the sperm out direct. Taylorjools - if you have some info on it then would be great to hear as can see that you needed this at ISIDA and also JB mentioned to me that I should ask you. Any info gratefully received. Reading the stuff from IM it sounds uncomfortable and unpleasant but not unbearable. More spend. More stress but at least they really are covering all the bases. We have raised some questions but no reply yet. No response either around the meds for me. Guess they are just busy. But will just take the e-mail to my gp's on Friday and see whether he will give me a prescription. Refusing to let it stress me. Some how got my dates confused and the barmitzvah is not for another week so at least I get to chill this weekend.

Lucy - Sorry your feeling low at the moment and having the flu cant help! I knew my blood group because I have been giving blood for years but dh didnt have a clue what his was. He had it done at our GP surgery we were told that we would have to pay (£40 I think it was) but we still havent had a bill or been asked for the money and it was months ago now. Have you thought about beeing a blood donor? as you've got a bit of time before your appointment you could go and give blood and they will send you a letter with your blood group on it and it wont cost you anything. I cant remember how long it took to get the letter but you could find out if you phone the "Give Blood" people and ask, hope you get it sorted soon .xxx


Kelly - Fantastic news that it looks like you'll have 6-7 eggs!!! Im so happy for you . Good luck for egg collection tomorrow and I will have everything crossed that they all fertilise and give you 6-7 lovely embies .xxx
