hi ladies
I am hanging in there. The first few days were very rough and I was in denial about having to be in the hospital for ages, but I have accepted it now and the days go by quicker. Its already been 8 days!
Baby is staying put. HR is good and as long as HR is stable we are ok.
DH started to relax a bit is now sleeping at home and going to work for most of the day-luckily he is only 15 min away. Looking forward to my next US sometime this week.
We have been discussing names and we can't decide on a girls name if it is a girl. He likes the name Mara but in hebrew that means bitter- i dont want my baby to have a bitter name! Anyone else having trouble?

Hi Rikerees -

It's good to hear from you. I'm glad you are settling in ok at the hospital and that your little sweetie is doing well. I can't believe it's been 8 days already. I hope they are treating you well. Are you able to move around and walk some? I hope so for the sake of your blood circulation. So are you going to be in the hospital until you go into labor? I hope it goes well and quick for you and your baby.

Names are a little difficult. We had our DD's name picked out well before we got pregnant the first time. We didn't know what we were having so we had a boy's name picked as well. Well this time my DH wants to use one of the most popular names - Madison - since we know we are having a girl this time. I'm not too keen on using such a popular name. But we are working on it.

Take Care and sending you and your baby many blessings.

Good Morning All.....I only have 59 days at the MOST left of work...I hate my job right now....it takes up to much time and prevents me from posting here, LOL

Rikirees-I like Mara, very nice, but your right the meaning does put a damper on the name. I'm glad your time is going quickly and smoothly in the hospital!

Christine- GL on your test tomorow..I go on Thursday but just reg OB check up, next week we get to see (U/S) baby..Friday, hopefully the kidneys are in proper working order this time. My little Sydney has been up at night also, she was up and kicking (possibly hicups) from 1:30am Monday morning 'til about 4am this morning, I'm very tired! Your right practice, practice, practice. Are you going for and labor/breastfeeding classes this go around? We have ours scheduled in early November. It's all so exciting...I just wish baby's room was done!

My2LnT- the furniture still hasn't come----oh, well. We'll still have time if it's not the right thing to return, gosh I hope DH isn't right this time! Have you thought about labor classes?? Are you thinking about breastfeeding?

Noodle - Thanks for the good luck wishes. Good to hear from you. Good luck at your checkup on Thurs. Yes we are going to do a Refresher Labor/Delivery class in mid November just to help prepare us again. We found the breastfeeding class helpful last time but our experience went far beyond what they taught in class. It was fun to go through the first time. Our furniture is due to arrive in early November. We didn't have our DD's room done prior to her birth as she was in our room for the first few months and I worked right up until her birth so we didn't rush it. But this time we want it done prior to her birth as I will have our DD to take care of as well as the new baby.

Steph - Hope you are doing great! Hope to hear new updates soon.

As far as all the other ladies - we hope you are doing well and look forward to your updates. Take Care ladies!

alrighty ladies here is my update:
placenta not allowing baby to grow and for the lungs to expand. I will have another US on Thursday and the Peri will then decide if we are having a c section on Friday (26w0d). Baby is weighing almost 1.5 lbs at this point. Amazingly I am ok with it, cuz I feel like I have done eveything within my power to keep the baby alive, but if they dr's think the baby will do better outside then I have to leave it in their hands.

Rikirees I just watched a show last night about a lady who delivered at 26 weeks and her son weighed 1lb 10oz. So I'm sure things will be OK and go well.

Noodle I'm sure you are right and DH...lol. No we have not thought about a birthing labor class I hope I remember how to push... Its only been like 10 years. Yes we have been thinking of breastfeeding not sure if I can just for the whole anixety factor which sounds silly but worst case is I'm going to pump if I can't seem to get over my sillyness... What about you?

Christine I'm happy to hear all is well your way. Can't wait to hear more.

As for here we had our appt today at 23w6d and lil Bit is measuring 1 pound 10 ounces. He is still breech with placenta in front and is sitting and pushing on not only my bladder but cervix as well. Sono tech said that she would be real happy when he moves... She is not the only one!! But for now I still do my sono appts every 2 weeks so I am hoping and praying how soon he turns so I have less to worry about.

Tanya Hope all is going good with you and the babies!

Take care....
Stephanie

Rikirees - You have been a wonderful mother so far and will continue to be one no matter the outcome. You have an angelic little fighter and the best medical advances that give you terrific odds for success. Wishing you, your DH and your baby many blessings. Please keep us posted.

Steph - It's good to hear your update. Hoping your little one moves into a better position soon to give you a bit of peace of mind. I ended up pumping mainly since my milk didn't come in very good and we had to supplement with formula. I had rented a hospital grade pump and saw a lactation specialist several times and tried so many different tricks and techniques, but no matter what I did my milk just did not come in good enough. So I did what I could do with breastfeeding Meagan (which was never enough) along with pumping and gave her what I had pumped with her formula. So at least she was getting the best of both. She is very healthy and never got even a sniffle the first year of her life. I'm nervous about doing it again this time. It was a mentally draining experience for both DH and I and he doesn't want me to go through it again with this one. I had bought a $250 Medela Pump In Style and never used it. I want to try it again at least at the beginning to give our baby the Colostrum due to it's incredible immunities. I won't have as much time to devote to it as I did before since I have Meagan to take care of as well. So needless to say I'm a bit worried about how it will go this time.

Malinka - So sorry you had to do the long Glucose Test! Hope your results turn out good. How are you feeling?

I will send an update tomorrow once I get all of the testing done in the morning. Take Care Ladies.

Rikirees--all my good wishes are coming your way...with big hugs-you are tough and have nurtured are strong baby--everything will work out, I feel it!

Christine-the breastfeeding thing weighs heavy on my mind, I've read 3 books and I am determined, but then again if she is not getting what she needs from me I will definately go to formula...But I am going to try like the dickens to get it to work

Malinka- Oh girl I'm sorry, I'm going to schedule mine this week, I hope it goes OK. Let us know how the second test went.

Steph- I'm going to pump no matter what..like Christine said both is good too. DH and I have already agreed to him committing to 1 feeding a day 8PM (or close to it)...but I'm with you I have a lot of anixety about it. My mother had no problems breastfeeding me or sisters. But my sisters weren't very successful. I just cannot imagine my boobs growing this big and not working! LOL

Hey guys
I am not getting the emails sometimes stating there has been a posting and it is really annoying! LOL I thought Oh I havent heard anything in a while I may as well check and I am behind the 8 ball! LOL My back is killing me. I mean killing me. I have to wear the support belt whenever I am standing or I will not be able to move. It is horrible. Worth it but horrible. Looking forward to Christmas when I will be able to stroll my little nuggets!!! Other than that doing well and feeling them move a lot and I can tell when they are sleeping and awake-it is sooo cool. I have my 25 week appt on Friday. Looking forward to hearing about a c-section date maybe??? We'll see.

Christine
Good thinking on packing for the dads. My hospital is 10 minutes from my house which is a great thing! We dont have the fridge and snacks though. That is really a good idea. They give you whatever you want anyways why not just put a little stash in the room. That is a great idea. Good Luck at your super long appt today...let us know how it goes for you! I agree with you on the breastfeeding class. It was fun the first time but now I think that I am going to wing it!

Steph
I love your comment about self control! LOL I am with you on that number! We are from the same pod!!! I hope that your lil bit moves for you. You still have time!!! But to spare you the stress I hope that it is soon.

Rikirees
So glad that things are going well for you in the hospital girl. I am so glad that you are able to be there and be watched closely. Did you bring your doppler? I am looking forward to your updates! I have been thinking about you. I think my DH knows about all of the ladies on here. I talk about you guys like you have been my best friends forever!!! He asks about you now. OH NO! a c-section?!?!? I can't believe it already! What do they think is going on with the placenta? I know you have been doing everything in your power to keep your baby alive and you wont stop now. I just can't believe it. Poor thing. Keep us updated. I will be praying for you and your baby.

Noodle
I am glad that you are about done with the job situation. It will be better when you are off. I am glad that you are on the final countdown!! Yeah! I also breast feed, pump and supplement with formula. I had a breast reduction so I cant do it full time but it works out better for me not as my DH is able to participate in the feedings just so I can sleep a little bit before the night of being awakened. This time with two I am for sure going to need the help! LOL

Malinka
I hope that you get better results on the 3 hour test. Sorry that you had to go through that. It is hard. Hope that things are going well otherwise.

Hi Ladies,

Well first of all I must say it's nice to see so many updates coming in now! I'm glad you all seem to be doing pretty well.

I had my Ultrasound this morning and our little girl is weighing 2lbs 6oz and she is in the head down position. The fluid level is great and we could see some hair floating from her head. It was wonderful to see! Our DD was head down at 28 weeks and she stayed that way until delivery. There is the possibility this one may turn out of the good position but hopefully not. They see no reason to change my due date since everything looked good. I did have the Glucose test but did not get to see my OB since she was stuck at the hospital after a C-Section this morning. Our hospital had 6 women in labor yesterday so it's been a bit busy for the OB's. So I will see her on Tue 10/16.

I hope you are all doing well and look forward to future updates. Take Care!

That is great that things are looking so great for your little baby! Isnt it exciting to see them on the screen and wait in anticipation? I love it. Sounds like your doc was super busy this week with babies!!! Thanks for the update.

Hi Ladies,

I've been so out of touch, but I've been thinking about all of you.

Rikirees - please let us know if you are having the c-section. I'm so glad you'll be holding her soon. I love the name Mara. Have a cousin named Ann-Mara.

Steph - could yoga help to get the baby in a different position? acupuncture?

All is well here. Starting to take classes soon and feeling like each weekend is so precious so I'm being very selective about our plans.

I wish this crew could be my mother's group b/c we've all journied through so much together. You all more than me, as I'm not always so present on the board lately.
