Hi, I had a son in 2004 after one IVF/ICSI cycle. Now I have 2 frozen blast stage embies. I am planning to transfer them in January 08. I have heard that having 3 is ideal and I only have 2. Also heard frozen are not as successful as fresh. And my age (39) is not a plus. Although my embies are from my 34 year old eggs! My DH had the issue, he is 48. I was ok. Anyone have success with only 2 frozen to transfer?

HI ladies.
How is everyone?
I am doing well just waiting for my period to start so we can get things moving.
We are doing insem with the same donor again. I am really nervous because we had a miscarriage the first time, the second time resulted in my beautiful son.

Hi Ladies

I posted earlier about using our frozen embryos when I weaned DS at 12 months....well, turns out I am 5 weeks pregnant despite only 'doing the deed' once during the month and breastfeeding.

I am flabbergasted! It took us many years and 4 IVF cycles using ICSI to get DS. I know I still have a long way to go but I did get a strong beta so hopefully everything will work out ok. I hadn't planned on two so close in age but hey, I'll take it!

Thanks for reading.

Princess, how did the insemination go?? Any feelings either way yet??

Cheers
Heather

Heather,

Congrats!!!!!! My OB/GYN told me to be careful about getting pregnant. Supposedly, once you have a baby, it is easier to get pregnant the 2nd time. She told me a story of a couple that had 3 children, all via IVF. The lady was in her 40's and did not use birth control, well she got pregnant on her own without trying and had #4.

DH and I are still trying to get a good night's sleep with our Andrew. He likes to wake up during the night and have me nurse him back to sleep. I'm trying to break him of that habit.

Tammy

Thanks Tammy....I realise now I should have been more careful. Andrew is a real cutie, I do check photobucket every now and then for updates. I can totally relate to the broken sleep. Griffin has just gone through a period of waking every 2 hours overnight....thankfully a quick feed generally gets him back to sleep promptly. Lets hope they grow out of it soon!

Take care.

Any news yet princess???

Hi all

After having a miscarriage in July after getting pregnant naturally - (really unexpectedly as had blocked tubes) I am now pregnant naturally again! Had a scan on Friday and am now 8 wks & 3days!

Congratulations to Heather also - how bizarre is this eh?!! It definately is easier to get pregnant after having a baby!

Heather,

How did you know that you were pregnant? Did you have symptoms, or take an HPT? I have not started AF yet, but had some pink spotting last night. Griffin is a cutie too!

Hi everyone!
It's been a while since this thread was started, and I wanted to bump it back up again.
I am trying for baby #2, and I was just wondering, for those of you who have gone thru it all again,

how do you take care of your first child/children during your 2ww? do you have someone stay with you? I think if my mother or mother in law stayed with us, it would cause more harm than good! LOL.
Does your doctor give you any constraints?
I am worried I won't be able to pick up DD and cuddle her!

thanks for any info anyone has!
