:D  :D  Thirty two weeks Today :D  :D

Another mile stone.

Feel like shit!

Can't sleep cos I need the loo every hour and can only sleep on one side. Can't breathe on back. Finger joins all swollen up. so hot and itchy plus I get period like pains every now and again low down when i am not feeling sick or getting heartburn.

Had no idea the sleep deprivation would start before the babies come!

Had my first ever nose bleed yesterday - wasn't sure what to do and got blood everywhere.

My ankles and less so my legs have suddenly swollen up.

Will I really be able to get to 36 weeks. Hope so...how far gone were you lot?

I've put on 6lb this week thats nearly a pound a day - all on my tummy, so its no wondered I am feeling it. Babies must be doing well. Got a scan next Wednesday my first one for a month. Can't wait.

Love to all,

Hi Quita

You poor thing - not long to go.....

My twins were born at 35 weeks exact. The last few weeks were the pits but hang in there it will be much better for your precious beanies if you do :D Our son Harry spent nearly three weeks in hospital so I wish I had them cooking for a week or so longer - might have made the difference to his hospital stay.

Thinking of you

Quita- I also had my babies are exactly 35 weeks. They spent a week and half in the NICU.

I was so swollen at the end that I could only wear flip-flops. I also woke up multiple times to use the bathroom and could only sleep on my side, which made my arm go to sleep. It was miserable, but good practice for the lack of sleep when they came home. Just an FYI, it took several weeks after I delivered for the swelling to go away. You couldn't even tell I had the babies, I was still so big. Don't panic, it does get better!

Quita,

I feel your pain! I got lots of nosebleeds towards the end, and I'd never had a nosebleed in my former life....scary, huh? I delivered at 36 weeks and 6 days (still hung up about being about 8 hours short of 37 weeks) :? I got VERY swollen towards the end and developed pre-eclampsia. I also was peeing every hour at night. I know it's frustrating, but it is GREAT training for the lack of sleep you'll be getting once the babies are here! Don't worry though, it'll just be a few short months!

Just be careful about the swelling. Pre-eclampsia will cause you to deliver early. Get those feet up and rest sweetie! :)

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that my darling boys arrived last Thursday 4th October at 11:58 and 11:59 by C Section. It was a bit traumatic because I needed blood transfusion as I lost a lot of blood due to platelet problem I had but thank god all was well and boys and mummy doing great.

They are everything I have dreamed of. They are placid children and so gorgeous (obviously I biased). They have daddy's lovely sallow skin tone, my black/brown hair and beautiful blue eyes (although I have been assured eye colour could change..daddy has brown and I have blue)

They weighed 5lb 12 and 5lb 4 and are already gaining weight. Love their food. Both having formula and breast combined.

Pictures of the babies are on photobucket.

Any news from Tony and Maria yet?? They would be 39 weeks ??

Hey everyone! I'm alive!!!!!

So very sorry it has taken me so long to write! Life has been busy and great all at the same time! I try to read everyone's posts and then by the time I am done and try writing, I am called to duty by the babies. I am determined to get back on the computer this week though! Wish me luck!

I have to make this brief but I wanted to say hello and say I miss everyone a ton! The babies have been at home for 3.5 weeks now and are 6 weeks old today!!!!! YIKES!!!!! They are such a pleasure and things are going so much better than I ever could have hoped. They are such happy babies and rarely fuss but the last 2-3 days have brought some fussies??? I hope it disappears sooner than later. They are perfectly happy as long as they are being held or nursing. We are b-feeding and it is also going great. I tandem feed them and things take little to no time and we aren't supplimenting at all yet. We had to make a breast milk-formula cocktail for them in the beginning to help gain pounds but now that they are 6.5 lbs. each we are off the extra calories.
They are sleeping 2-4 hours at night and oddly enough that seems to be enough for us all at any stretch right now but I do look forward to the day when I get a solid 7 again! :D

We are still on such a high! I opted to not have any help and I LOVE it!!!! My home is not full of people and the babies are on a great schedule. Sure, it's a busy day to clean, cook, get ready, and run errands but I seriously wouldn't have it any other way. My only goal is to have all of us ready by 10 am every day and then I feel like we achieved something. It's a small step but much needed! OVer all, we are very happy and life is great.

I hope to get a chance to e-mail more often and respond to what everyone is doing!Congrats on all the new babies and I will write more soon!

Hugs and kisses to all the little ones!
Take care!

Hi Kimberly!

We've been wondering how you've been doing, and it sounds like you're marvelous! Good for you! I am glad things seem to be going so smoothly for you. No help? You are amazing...I had someone coming over to help for the first 8 weeks...I couldn't manage to get the feedings and errands done by myself. But, it does help that you don't have to supplement. Our doc kept us on supplements, not sure why now though. Tandem feeding, you go girl! That's when I got sore, but it sounds like you have it down pat! Yeah! I know that was so important to you. Don't worry too much about the fussiness....if I remember correctly, around 6 weeks, that's pretty normal, I think? It doesn't last forever.....and yes, the sleep will come. It'll probably happen when they're around 11 or 12 pounds. Good luck! Good to hear from you finally! :D

It is so funny that you mention sore boobies. . . just recently the children are killing me!!!! It's like they all the sudden are getting lazy and they teamed up against my nipples!! I even had a blister!

Congrats Lisa on the beautiful babies! They are so precious. It's a bit surreal in the beginning huh? All that work and finally we have our little ones. Congrats to you both!

The babies just went down for the afternoon nap and the dh is getting ready to leave town for the weekend so we don't have to worry about dinner or anything else today! WHOOHOOO!!! It's nice to just lounge around and take it easy with them. They are in such a funk the last couple days that it helps to just concentrate on them alone for the day.

Did anyone else see the DR. do the snippy snip on their son? All I can say it OH MY FRICKING HEAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had no idea it was that horrid! I knew what the outcome was and the general idea but after he started I had serious doubts if I would ahve done it knowing how caveman like the whole thing was. No matter how it is described to you by the Dr., you cannot imagine what they actually do until you see it yourself. Just curious. I think dh is still in shock!

Hope everyone is having agreat day. I'm going to try post photos today. We'll see if my computer skills have gotten any better! Take care everyone! Love to all the babies!

girls, Macca8 and Kimberly, your babies are adorable!!!! Soooo cute.

So how are you feeling? Lisa did you go thru C section too?

Girls, I need your help, I am 28 weeks and literally starting to freak out, that I dont' have anything ready.
Didn't buy a stroller yet, don't know the sleeping arangements, cribs, bassinets, or twin pack and play, and then crib?, what to do, about feeding then, breastfeeding, formula, any suggestions ? What's tandem feeding by the way?

Hi all

I have just had a lokk at the new arrivals on photobucket - how adorable they all are :D Six weeks seems to be the time when they start to fuss. Mine were about 7 weeks when all hell broke loose ! They, I mean Harry, did not settle down until he was about 14 weeks. Now they are great. We have a good routine however, change the routine and look out!

My two will be 4 months old tomorrow! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. I will post some new pics of them today.

Malinka, by 28 weeks I had almost everthing done - I was so paranoid that the babies would come early. A stroller is a must. One or two cots depending if you co sleep your babies. I co slept mine until only about 7 weeks so needed the other cot. I had one rocker and one swing but quickly brought another rocker. I have found the rockers to be the most useful items yet. I also got a change mat and a bath. I did not bother with the pack and play, cribs or bassinets. On the feeding side I was able to breast feed Bronte until she was 10 weeks old. I had an electric pump and a manual pump which were invaluable. Now they are both on formula and I have a range of bottles from 125mls to 300mls. I also have a steamer to sterilise the bottles.

Great to hear you are doing well Kholtan. Like you I did not and still do not have help. We manage so much better now than when the babies first came home. Getting out and about is a bit harder when there is only one of you so I have not done this too much on my own. We did not have Harry circumcised nor are our other boys circ. I think deciding to have your son circ is a very persoanl decision and people do it for many reason's which is a choice as it should be. For us, the arguments to circ did not stack up so we choose not too :D

Take care

Di
