Hey sistas - great to read you all today. I missed you but good to see that we are busy getting on with our lives and not dwelling too much on this crazy IF thing.

Sassy - what a lovely daughter you are - it's my parents big anniversary soon too - I'm not sure I will be able to create such a lovely present as yours though!

Meg- glad your MIL is making you happier - it must be nice to see your family and DH's with your baby.

Robbo - if it helps -my clinic will be looking for a beta of 100 when I test on Thursday 25th Oct.

Must go - I am very busy since returning from the trip - I have lots of new ideas to develop but of course that means lots more work.

Have great weekends ladies - I still want to hear from FEE. Where are you sista?

Oh ladies....what a busy life we all live.
for you non-educators, self-contained simply means that you teach all subjects every day and you have your same class all day long. Now, I will admit, that while we were team teaching, my co-teacher and I went to the principal and asked to go self-contained. We have a lot of ESL kids and I would only see them for about 3 hours a week to do reading. They were always behind, and they are not the ones that you want to play catch-up with. So, in order to be more flexible we went self-contained. It is so much harder, tons of prep, lots of grading, but I have an outstanding class so it may end up being okay this year.

Thank you ladies on your responses to my friends questions. All that matters is that she does have that magical beta number.

Sassy- You are so creative. I am sure that the book has taken you many hours to put together. I think you should complete my wedding album, and Shelby's baby book for me. I haven't even started the wedding album....only been 9 years...but I do have about 6 pages of Shelby's baby book done.
You are such a good daughter. I am sure your parents will be super surprised and happy for all that you and your family have done for them. Was this all your idea?

Meg- How is Lucy doing? I am sure she is changing like crazy. You still need to post some pictures of her. I know all the sistas are dying to see her.

Angie- How have you been feeling? I am so impressed that you did the whole thing med free!!! Yippee...of course I am sure that you missed the poking needles, the ever changing hormones etc. I hope your bw looks good this weekend.

Fee- Hav eyou had your sweet baby yet? It is not like you to stay away this long. Of course maybe you are just super busy shopping to get everything bought in time for nogs to get here!!!

Jenn- Thanks for the response. I am sure you are happy to be home for a few weeks. I love traveling, but I also like the comforts of my own home. I seem so exhausted after traveling much.

Parents, and brother are coming for the weekend. Should be fun, but tiring. We will be going to a football game tonight (husbands a coach), then head down the road tomorrow to see nephews play baseball. Lots of traveling over the weekend. However, I haven't seen my parents in 3 months, and that is just too long.

Hello ladies - hope you're all having great weekends. The nurse who gave me my blood result yesterday said "everything was behaving beautifully " so no drugs at all for me this cycle.

Unbelievable ! Of course now I am worrying that we only had a 3 cell and a 4 cell at Day 2 - have had some 6 cells in the past - oh well will know on THursday week and of course there's always a teeny weeny chance nature may do its magic!

What you all up to at the w/e - I've been doing some weeding at our new house (which we still haven't moved into !)

Hellooo Ladies

Sorry for the long absence. The last two weeks have been pure hell with my mother coming down with a post operative infection. I got a bit depressed as I was hoping after MIL finished her chemo we would have finished with hospital emergency rooms for a while. Wrong on that count. I have been spending a fair amount of time at the hospital but am glad that mum is now out of the woods and at home again!

Angie! your natural cycle is very exciting. As a fellow PCOS sufferer I fully appreciate the momentous occasion of your body behaving normally. I can't believe you will be testing again on Thursday next week. My fingers are well and truly crossed. And, in case you are still having Dog withdrawals I believe he is sometimes shown on Foxtel...

Amy how is the detox going? Very inspiring stuff. I will attempt something similar once Nogs has arrived (no I have not birthed him in the Outback - but thanks for the mental image of me squatting behind some bush covered in red dirt) When is your FET??? So much happening stuff to the sisters.

Mego, glad to hear all is well with Lucy. I am feeling increasingly unconfortable with nice shooting pains in my nether regions. I am stacking on the weight and find it hard to get ouf of a chair. Doc did not mention any signs that Nogs will be appearing soon. Neverthelss I have packed my bag and am sort of ready...

Sassy you are a great daughter, that is an excellent present, I'm sure your parents are going to love it. Hope you are enjoying your time with them...

Robbo, you are right, amidst all the hospital visits I have been trying to get my house in order ready for Nogs. On the agenda this week, DH has been informed that he will be moving furniture and assembling the cot. I meanwhile have a lot of cleaning to do. I don't know how I have collected so much rubbish over the years...

Sorry again for long absence, won't do it again, unless Nogs arrives of course.

Fee

Welcome back Fee! - so good to read you. Am sorry to hear about your poor MIL but hope she is doing OK.

I was convinced you'd had Nogs. Are you still at work ? How was your baby shower? And your Nogs shopping? questions, questions.

Yes the whole natural cycle has been very exciting - Chinese Dr lady said her aim was to get my cycles to 4 to 6 weeks and this is what has happened this time. So roll on Thursday week - I guess I better do a ticker...

Hello Angela! Great to hear from you, and you're not gatecrashing, all are welcome here! I am getting excited that baby is due soon. I can't really believe it as I feel quite normal, just with an enormous gut. I wouldn't mind being pregnant for a lot longer, it's not as hard as I thought it would be! So what's news with you? Will you be having another go on the IVF rollercoaster???

Angie I agree that a ticker is in order, perhaps something which honours your Chinese Dr in some way. I am very impressed with her efforts and may give the old herbs a try in the future to see if it works on me.

Hey Robbo, don't work too hard now! My due date is apparently around 29 October. In a couple of weeks! I'm really looking forward to it, well maybe not the pain bit, but the end result.

Oh well, Just another day on maternity leave. I am a bit bored today, have sore throat so am taking it easy with the housework (any excuse will do!) I have been watching Dr Phil and one of his Man Camps. Fascinating stuff. Unfortunately here in Oz after about 3.00pm until 4.30pm it is all children's shows. So I will be twiddling my thumbs until the Bold and the Beautiful starts at 4.30pm (didn't take me long to get addicated to that show again!) Poor Brooke, her children have just been removed from her by Child Protective Services....

Welll I'd better be off for some more couch time, hope you are all well...

Hello everyone and hi to Angela too. You are welcome to join us - we're a bit quiet here at the moment but once we get going we are quite an amusing thread! - And it will be nice to have someone else on S Hemisphere time!

Fee - hope you are enjoying couch time - resting up nicely - good to see. I think another sweep to guess the due date is in order - you will probably win it mind you! So in true gambling tradition, I am picking Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 6th November. Which means you will have to name Nogs after a racehorse!

Come on ladies - any more takers - guess Fee's due date now!

As for me - almost a week into the 2ww. The unmedicated cycle is wonderful - no horrible pessary reminders each day and night. Can almost forget about it.

Just have a few stomach cramps/twinges and sore bbs but AF is not due for another week so not worried about it all. :D

Have great days/nights all.

Hey girls-

Angie- I am so excited for you. This cycle came up fast! I didn't realize we were in the middle of it. Glad it is going well so far. I have my fingers crossed for your big BFP!!

Fee- So glad to have you back!! And I'm so glad your mum is doing better. Sorry you have had so many illnesses in the family lately. Sounds like it is looking better. I watched Dr. Phil's man camp today as well, i'm sorry to say! I don't know what those women are thinking putting up with those men! My husband has my car and so I am stuck in the house all day with nothing but horrible daytime tv to occupy my time. Did you have your baby shower yet?

I claim Nov. 1 as the day Nogs will make an appearance.

Hello to Amy, Sassy, Robbo, Meg and Lucy!!
Jenn

You are all wrong. Nogs is coming on October 30th at 6:45 am. This happens to be my birthday as well and I would appreciate you slipping Amy into Nog's name somehow if this is the date. That is all I want for my prize.

As for Angie - can't wait for the test date. Blood or POAS?

Girls - things are way too quiet and mellow around here. We need to kick things up a notch. Without Sassy's BIL robbing the world blind or Fee's drunk slutty assistant, there are no good sarcastic stories. Might have to start living vicariously through Fees daytime soap addictions. Fee - start relaying good stories from there, those are ALMOST as good as Sassy's real life soap.

Mama is tired and going to hit the hay -

Angie......so one more time, we are 2ww'er fellows!!!!!!wohoooo, let the sistas suffer together this 2 weeks!!!!! . I am testing on the 22nd, you test on the 25, right? But, unlike you, I do have the pleasure of having my butt real sore from the PIO shots....oh well......

Meg...how is Lucy behaving?, she must be a swettie!!!!

Everyone else, how are you doing????

As for me, as you know, I am on my 4th IVF, hopefully the last!!!!!!. I had my ET last Wed, transferred 3 embies (in the past we only did 2, but this time I wanted to push the envelope a bit more  ). I am testing next Monday....  . Wish me luck, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, we get to guess a date again. Okay, I was really off with Lucy, let's see if I can do better with Nogs. I won't even bother with the time, but I think we need a Halloween baby......October 31.

Vicki- So glad that you are back with the sistas. We have missed you. I can't believe you are already in your 2ww. Lots of prayers and sticky dust your way.

Oops gotta run. The kids think I should be teaching them something right now!!!

Hey guys. Well, Lucy is in her swing for her 5 minutes that she allows me to put her down each day, so I'll try to type fast.

Vicky--Glad to hear from you. How exciting that you are in your 2WW. 3 embrios--that's great. I'm so hopeful for you. Hopefully Monday will be here before you know it!

Amy--I hope you have a Happy Birthday on the 30th, but I'm sorry to say that you won't be sharing it with Nogs. As previously stated, it will be a November 3rd birthday for him.

Angie--Hope the 2ww is going fast for you. When do you test exactly? Oh, and I was wondering how you all celebrate Halloween in Australia...do you do the whole trick or treat thing like we do here? Please share. We'll have a cultural exchange:)

I've been meaning to post pics of Lucy but 1) can't figure out how and 2) don't want to put them on here because not everyone might want to look at baby pics (totally understandable). So, my dh has a website that he's posted some photos on. We haven't updated them since she was born, so these are about a month old already--will let you know when more recent ones are on there if you want to see. Anyway, the site is www.godutchgo.com

Hope you all have a great Wednesday! (Wow, it's been 8 minutes and she's still sleeping.....maybe I'll get crazy and try to do a load of laundry!)
