Denise, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Thats So exciting! I can't believe you've had your babies! I seem to think I'm still somewhere around the 20wk mark. Can't believe that I could have a baby within the next two months! (and WILL have one within the next three!!) 30 wks today!
Do you know when they're likely to be home with you? It sounds as though they're getting the best care possible at the moment.
Quita, hang in there, really not long to go now. Love the cocoa pops craving! All the milk v.good calcium!
All fine here, Sha I'm also growing - literally by the day! I still can't imagine that I'm actually going to have a baby though. It seems so surreal. I still can't believe there's actually one inside me - such a strange thought! despite the fact that I can feel it, I think it may have hiccups at the moment - rhythmical sort of popping inside. may have something to do with the chocolate buttons I just ate!
Sha, whats the latest on your baby's position? Mine was still in its hammock position (head one side, feet the other, bottom down where the head should be) when they last checked. I'm seeing the GP tomorrow, she may be able to feel whether its still like that now.
I am still working hard on this course, can't even think about the baby coming til it finishes (by which time I'll be 37 wks - eek!)

glad to hear all is well, totally understand what you mean with you "cant believe your going to have a baby" i'm still the same even tho i'm now showing and have all the kicking in the ribs you coud imagine....
as from the position of the baby, i have just come from seeing my midwife and the baby was head down, since then tho s/he has turned and is now laying in the hammock again hands poking me in the ribs on one side and feet kicking my ribs on the other and to tell you the truth i dont like the feeling very much at all as on time it really does hurt!!!!!!!
my GP and consultant are still not to worried about which way the baby is laying at the moment, they both said nothing will be decided until at least 36 weeks!!!
which i cant believe is only 4 weeks and a couple of days away for me, god i'm at last really going to have a baby, i just cant believe it after 10 years of trying its so surreal...... i'm finally going to be a mum....LOL
let me know how your getting on and i will keep you up to date on the babys position..

Sha, I had my appointment with the GP last night and the baby is still in the hammock position, bottom down. As far as I can tell it hasn't moved from that in the last 5 weeks or so. As long as its happy and not too squashed then thats fine by me! Still it does seem to me that if it hasn't moved out of that position in the last 5 weeks then its unlikely to in the next 5 when the amount of room is just going to decrease even further. They said they also won't decide anything until I'm 36 wks, assuming I get that far. Still not sure how I feel about a c section if it comes to that. I guess there are some positives and generally I'll just be thrilled to have 1 x healthy baby!! I'll keep you informed, you must be just about a week and a half ahead of me. 30 wks really does feel like a milestone, apparently 32 wks is another big hurdle developmentally, I was chatting to a girl expecting twins at my antenatal class last night and she was told that to get to 32 wks was the aim and anything over a bonus.
Miss Piggy, so far I haven't had any heartburn, possibly the one bonus of having a uterus that doesn't stretch properly at the top is that the baby is still very low, albeit lying across me! however a good friend is really suffering with it, she swears by gaviscon tablets and liquid and also sleeping slightly upright. The other thing is to have some milk before bed apparently, but not too much. Good luck, just think, its only a few more weeks.

well the heartburn has well and truely set in now, for the past 3 nights i have been waking up in agony!!! not even gaviscon is working now, the only way i can get back to sleep is by sitting up and then i wake up with a stiff neck.... just can win.... but i wouldn't change a thing for the world, i just keep reminding myself that in 8 weeks time i'm going to have this long awaited bundle of joy in my arms..
is everyone else getting all excited??? its as if i have let go now and all worries have vanished i cant wait to hold my baby, i find myself just sitting driffing into this other world thinking of what my baby will look like? what colour hair is s/he going to have? who is s/he going to look like?
for the past 10 years my world have evolved around trying to get pregnant now thats all i do is walk around on cloud nine thinking of holding my baby at long last.
sorry i have just go on and on there.....
hope everyone is doing ok.

hi
have not posted much lately as busy at work but have been lurking to see how everyone is doing..........
I notice a lot of people are suffering with heartburn............i get the acid heartburn quite regularly now
its an old wives tale but I swear by boiled water and although not always, does seem to work most of the time..........deffo worth giving it a go & its FREE!!! just boil kettle & once its cooled a bit pour yourself a mug & drink!! does not taste too bad but i always use a tea strainer as where we live the water is really hard & scales a lot!
hope it works for some of you
take care
Sarah
31 weeks & 5 days now............OMG!!
Hi girls hope we are all ok. I have been really uncomfortable for a couple of weeks now babys head is right under my ribs this was confirmed at the midwife on thus, I have to go for a scan on wed to confirm and talk about a c-section as they don't think she will turn by herself and im really not keen on them trying to turn her, sos she may be here a few weeks before which is really exciting her nersery is all done i just keep going in there its so beautiful i still can't belive she could be here in a couple of weeks.

Hello everyone,
Sorry not to have been on much in the last couple of weeks, we had a scare last week with a bleed and I spent the weekend in the hopsital being monitored. They can't tell what the bleed was (wasn't much but enough to freak me out!) most likely the placenta, but they monitored the baby on and off all weekend and it seems perfectly happy. It happened again yesterday afternoon and I went back in, this time they didn't keep me in which was a relief but monitored the baby again. I tell you, this baby seems determined to age me 20 yrs in 9 months!
In between all this I'm in the middle of an intensive 10 wk course and have lots of coursework each evening and all weekend so can't really afford to keep spending time in hosp. I would chuck it in but having spent a lot of money to do the course I really don't want to. As a result I think I must be the only person not counting down the days! I'll be 37 wks when the course finishes and at that point I will be utterly ecstatic! It does seem a shame not to be able to enjoy the lead up to birth, I think I'd like nothing more than to be soriong the house (utter tip at the mo, waiting til course is over so can tidy study, and therefore move onto nursery) and doing some christmas shopping - oh and eating choccie biscuits!!
Sorry to whinge on, feeling a little under pressure as have a course work deadline tomorrow.
I have been lucky in that I haven't suffered from the heartburn which seems to be a plague in the last trimester. This may be a unintended bonus of having a baby who is still determinedly lying across me in a hammock position (hasn't moved for last 7 wks). C section looking likely I guess if it doesn't move but I don't think they decide for sure until 36 wks. Sha, do you know when they decide for you? Mrs B when do they schedule in yours?
I'll be 32 weeks on Tues - can not believe it!
I am getting v.big now, no stretch marks yet but I think they tend not to appear until around 35 wks - does anyone know?? My mother had them so I am expecting to get some - keeping fingers crossed though, you never know.
Good to hear that heartburn issues aside everyone is doing well and enjoying these last few weeks, unbelievable where the time has gone!!
XXXXX Tams
ps Mrs B a friend of mine tried to have the baby turned, totally unsuccessful and very uncomfortable she said - she recommended to me not to bother.

Hi ladies,Tams im glad you are both ok now must have been scarey! to answer your question i will be 36 weeks when i go for my scan on wed when i asked my midwife when would they do the c- section she said a week or 2 before your due date as they don't want you to go into labour natually, i have done some research on them turning her and it sounds horrilbe so there is no way we will be attepmting that it can be very disstressing for the baby, when the midwife checked her heartbeat the other day it was fast where she was trying to move but calmed down when she stopped so i am a little worried beacause i swear for the last 2 days she been really struggling, there is just a big bump under my ribs, I also have been in a lot of pain since last night i have a big scar down my stomach and since last night it feels like it is being ripped every movement i make sets it off i was going to wait and mention it on wed but it has got worse as the day has gone on that if it is stillbad in the morning im going to call the midwife. Sorry to go on girls but i had to vent i have really enjoyed being pregnant but iam well and truely ready now i want our baby here now. xx

Tams, I am glad that all is going well now, just make sure you take care and try not to over do it!
I did not get any stretch marks on my belly or breasts, the way to avoid it is the put (thick) lotion on after every shower and right before bed, it will help!
Quita, how are you doing? I am hoping that you are resting!
