Hi everyone - I'm at 33 weeks with a boy and just in the past week have noticed he seems to be hiccuping every day. Anyone done a search on that? The information is totally contradictory! Some things say it's a sign of a healthy baby, some say it could be a sign that there's a problem with the cord around the neck. Anyone have a similar experience? He's not doing it excessively, and he's still moving in other ways.
Congratulations on reaching 33weeks, i gave birth to my triplets at 33w6d...but i just wanted to let you know that all 3 of my babies would have the hiccups at least once a day..my daughter had it the most..almost 3-4 times a day for long period of times, its nothing bad from what i am told, i was actually told its a good sign of stomach development. Dont stress yourself out so much. Goodluck with the rest of your pregnancy.
I'm on my second pregnancy (31 weeks now) and both times my boys have hiccups inside all of time and my first continued for quite some time after he was born. 1st is completely normal with no cord issues and so far this one is developing normally. Relax and enjoy the extra movement!
My twins had the hiccups all the time. The only time I ever got to see or know it though was in the hospital on bedrest during and u/s. I couldn't tell otherwise. My son had the chord wrapped around his neck as well but I doubt it had much to do w/hiccups. Good luck!
