hi,
i am going for a consultation for nhs treatment and have been told that they are very particular about weight issues. my bmi is 31...can anyone tell me if this is too high???
joanne -n-dave - You can check what your BMI means on the website bariatricedge.com where you plug in your weight and height and it will give you the info you need. I used the website to help me get my BMI down as I had to lose at least 20lbs before trying our second IVF try. Hope this helps. Good luck to you!

the NHS eligibility criteria differ from area to area. where do you live? if you look up your local Primary Care Trust (or ask your GP), they will be able to tell you what your BMI has to be in order for you to be eligible for treatment.
hope this helps

Hi Joanne, My consultant told me that as long as its under 30, it is ok. So you should only have to lose a little. But saying that my consultant told me to check my weight and did not beleive me that my BMI was under 30, and its only 27, so i hope your consultants nicer than mine. good luck
