I should clarify:
I did not find "expecting" helpful for a twin pregnancy.
Others may...
But Luke's book is great

Hello,
Wow Woodcliff and Cocoa, you guys can feel your babies already!! I don't feel mine at all yet, but i am only 11w4d, so i guess it is too early.
I am having my nuchal test next Tuesday, kinda nervous, but hoping that it will be fine.
I am still in the same clothes, have not put on any weight yet, but i am sure it is coming :D . Oh and i can't eat meat at all, it tastes disgusting to me, but what can i do for the protein substitute? Can't eat too much eggs because of cholesterol and protein shakes have too much sugar in them and i am already hypoglasimic, so what should i do? Any suggestions?
Thank you and good luck to all,
Vlada :D

You may also want to incorporate beans into your diet. Beans contain protein. I find that when I snack on edamame, it calms my stomach when I am having M/S.

Also for snacks, try some nuts. I am not a vegiterian, but I really never eat a ton of meat. So I try to incorporate protein however I can. As an example, for a snack, I like to have apples with peanut butter. It gives me the fiber, vitamins, and the protein. Plus by adding the PB it makes it a bit more filling.

Hope that helps.

Hi Christin,

Just a quickie....here in the UK we are advised specifically NOT to eat peanuts (along with mayo, pate and a few other things).

I'm assuming this is a UK thing, or maybe it's just my midwife... Has anybody else heard this???

Thank you guys for all of your suggestions!!! Unfortunately, i can't stand PB and any nuts right now make me soooo sick, as well as beans. I think i am going to eat more egg whites and cheese. I love farmers cheese but now it is not an option, i will be over the toilet right after. My MS has not gone away yet :(
Well, i am going to leave the house today, yea!!!! I booked mani and pedi at the spa, so hopefully i will makeit there OK and won't get sick around the spa person ( hopefully). I also miss driving my brand new car, i got it about a week before my first scary bleed and didn't get to drive it that much and then i was on bed rest and house rest for almost 2 months!!!! My God, how did i not go crazy?!?!?
Well, i gotta go now, thank you all again and good luck!!!!
Much love,
Vlada :D

Woodcliff,
Congrats on your nuchal test, how long did it take you to get the results?
I am kinda nervous about mine , i know i shouldn't be ( i am 30 years ols) but still....
Well, i got THE BEST pedicure at this spa, wow i am so so happy with it!!! I asked her not to paint my toenails but buff it up,and it looks great!!! Mani is OK , nothing special, but again i am kinda picky about my mainies. So, i took antinausea pill before my appointment, i did't want to get nauseous at the spa.
Well, that's all the news from me, my life is boring now. We are going to tell people about my pregnancy after we get the results for the nuchal test, which i am hoping will be ready at the end of next week or so.
I will be very interested to see the reaction of my mother in law, my husband is 43, so i am sure she will think that he is too old to have a baby, i don't think she will say it though, at least not in my face

Vlada, I'm glad you finally made it out of the house! And a bit of pampering is definitely a good idea after all you've been through so far! Sorry to hear your MS is not getting much better.

Woodcliff. Great to hear that your tests went well, the results sound great!

I have been discussing tests with my DH. We tried to imagine the worst case scenario, and what we'd do. Bottom line is I don't think I could end the pregnancy. I know it's a really touchy subject and something that you don't know how you'll react until it happened.

hahahah and that cracked me up about the aussies been told to get on the wine during the 2ww!!! Hahahah priceless :)

I am really struggling with tiredness/sickness/generally not being able to move. I went into work this week for the first time in 3 weeks, but couldn't really do anything. My actual boss at work at work is off sick so I haven't seen her but there is another senior (also a lady) and she isn't impressed with me at all. I can't work as I'm sick, but she's made me feel really guilty about taking so much time off. I've now taken the rest of the week off as annual leave, so it uses up my holiday time.

Oh well...the babes are most important. My DH has told me to tell them to "stick their job" if it gets really bad.

Is anyone else getting grief at work?
